这话不靠谱。 我见过law school毕业的重读医学院，我也见过医学院毕业重读law
school或者下海从商从政的。
另外牙医虽然学费相比较高，但是受训时间和residency等的不同使得牙医的回报更快。
最后回楼主的话， 年龄在美国永远不是问题， 我班里好几个5x奔60的

From my experence, it takes at least one year to let you sitting to the test,
take almost two years to get in door no matter DDS or MD,when you look back.
then you can add 4 year for doctor and so on.

Many dentists I know make good money, I mean >$500k.
It actually has less stress than many medical specialties. Liability
insurance is only a couple of thousands a year where I practice.
35 is a ripe good age for entering dental school. |

发帖数: 1085 | 28 I am no good with my hands. Otherwise, I would go for it in a heart beat. Dentists make a lot more money than physicians. And most CMGs are salaried, but most dentists have their own business. If you are aggressive, there are just a LOT you can write off.
Dentistry is a much better choice for those who can afford it ( own money or loans). It takes about the same amount of time. But you got a US degree and will make way more money with less stress.

有些犹豫，除了体力和经济上的考虑，还有不太确定自己究竟会不会喜欢常年待在一个
小房间里给人弄牙。这么多年research做下来，我觉得自己科研创造力不够，很难有
idea，动手能力还行，但最擅长的是做presentation,口语还可以，组织好以后，可以
把事情讲述得很清晰有条理。做牙医可能不会有太多机会让我发挥这个“优势”。这个
年纪再换专业，各方面的考虑都会现实很多。恩，我想我也许应该去个牙医诊所做做
volunteer，看自己感觉如何。

1)一般牙学院入学会要求在美国上先修课，研究生课一般不算；这可能需要1-1.5年；
2）DAT，顺利入学，可能总共需要5年；
3）贷款；一般州内牙学院学费可能10-15万，私立或州外一般20-50万；
可能你的homework更周全。如果你的家人很支持话，这个过程会相对容易一些；要靠你
养家的话，
也不是不可能，可能压力比较大，我们中国人不习惯拿贷款付房租和牛奶。
anyway，打算周全，全力以赴，年龄不是问题的。大夫嘛，谁不愿意找个年纪大的？

定。这样才能进入第一批面试。这里有个今年申请的网站， 你先熟悉一下吧，看看自
己需要补些什么东西。

等忙完了再回来。我没有考SAT。直接在工作的学校上课。雇员有优惠，而且可以选
general catalog的课程。就是有时候不好注册课程，因为不是full time学生。你要是
还没开始准备， 还是先找个牙医shadow一下看看自己喜欢不喜欢。很多学校还有夜校
，extension和open university。还有最好回避CC的课，很多dental school不喜欢。
另外补充一下。你不是博后么，90个美国的学分都有了吧。没有的话只要修很基本的补到90以上就好了。另外你要是今年35，进dental school的时候就是36了，需要改一下标题。。。闪
