我们的deploy基本上是Build＋deploy一条龙，也是只用点击一下就可以
我觉得如果公司大到一定规模，deploy还算个问题的话那这公司挺傻逼的，没必要用
dev tool来拼实力，有这些东西算正常，没有才算有问题好吧 |

而且都是一键完成，就这有时候我都觉得麻烦，问过manager为什么要build完再deploy
，还得同时监视metrics
不如直接把metrics和graph联通build而做在deploy的系统里面，人家的回答是，三年
前的东西要啥自行车……

发帖数: 46 | 5 我不知道锅和炉子对厨师有多重要。对于SDE，良好的开发平台是很重要的，试想如果
程序提交后就可以自动编译分段测试deploy到prod，省下来的大把时间都可以去设计新
的feature了，好的开发平台可以让SDE更focus在改进自己的service而不是一遍遍重复
没必要重复的琐事。而且即使换到另外一个组，换了编程语言，也不需要重新学习怎么
build，怎么deploy，对于新人也是有帮助的吧。
顺便纠正一点fantasist说的，deploy到Prod也不需要人工监控吧，如果metrics
monitor设置好的话。 :D

and deployment. e.g. Jenkins for CI and Asgard for deployment to AWS, Maven
for package dependency management.
These tools provide fully automatic CI and deployment by your rules. One
click rollback too. The difficulty is really whether the company embraces
SOA and the ability to execute. For an established company, it can be
painful to migrate to SOA architecture and they chose not to。

test， 还有code % coverage for these unit test， 一般new checkin， 不过那个
coverage， 就不能build。 system有dev env， 有的有UAT，现在还有different
cluster locale， deploy也只先deploy一个cluster。。。 根本就不需要有专门的
SDET。。。。
我最近做的组， dev管development， testing， deployment。。。

不好；（2）web service可以很轻易的turn on/off新的feature而手机app不可以，等
等。
另外一个behavior question原意是说有两种deploy的方法，一种是一旦有新的feature
上线就进行deploy，一种是定期的deploy，不管有没有新feature。分析哪种方法在哪
些方面会比较好。
算法题，如果有负数的话，用hashset记录已经求得的前n个数的和，可以做到线性的时
间+空间。 |

少deployment的任务，你应该主要是在Linux下用scala和python，我想不会有c#的东西
。但是你自己的feature你也要负责deployment和维护，用户出问题还会找到你。在
cloud时代，没有螺丝钉一样的分工，每个人都是独当一面的角色：full stack
engineer + customer service engineer.

各种 Architecture的吗。
只不过这帮做Networking的researchers，做了几十年，没多少人理他们，大家
industry还是用老的 TCP/IP + *nix 。
现在有industry里大的公司在使劲做cloud，可能还有点希望做出大的革新。
学校里做System research的人，多半都是在搞搞funding灌灌水而已。即使能设计些不
错的systems，他们有那政治经济实力去deploy吗？system这东西，不deploy出来就是
浮云。以前有那么多跟TCP/IP 竞争的networking技术，也不比TCP/IP差，没大规模
deploy，还不都成历史了。
话说回来，不过要搞点小算法啥的，搞些wireless的东西，投投MOBICOM之类也行。
wireless算networking里面容易发paper的小方向了，至少前几年是这样。 |

5.0下macosx如果光用缺省的环境，在ide中是找不到jnlp相关的jar包的
如果找不到相关的jar包，编译就无法通过
而事实上如果你去访问一些jnlp，也就是webstart发布的文件
你会发现，那些功能确实是可以用的
那说明有些包被隐藏了起来
经过不屑的搜索，终于发现了该死的javaws.jar包的所在
在
/System/Library/Java/Support/Deploy.bundle/Contents/Resources/Java/javaws.
jar
但是eclipse等编译器对于Deploy.bundle是默认无法打开的
所以需要做的就是手动打开Deploy.bundle，用右键点击选择show package content
然后把这个jar包给拷贝出来，放在某个地方
再在eclipse里面加入这个jar的支持，这样就可以编译通过了

2. eclipse + glassfish, deploy后, 在glassfish的console里, 看不到 "endpoint",
更没法访问那个wsdl link.
3. eclipse + tomcat. 和2一样,不work. 看网上说,webservice deploy到tomcat上还
需要做一些工作, 包括加descriptor和加lib.
帮忙讲讲 2 和 3 为什么不work? 用netbeans 和 eclipse 做webservice 有什么不同
? 再有,就是用glassfish 和tomcat 有什么不一样?
感觉java这东西真是看起来能明白, 做起来搞不定啊. |

smoke test, then shutdown the old one.
The new and old clusters coexist for a short period. Deployment often

It had to do with:
Local development emulation was very slow -- their local server could only
perform at a fraction of the speed as being deployed.
Deploying an application to the google cluster was very slow -- it may take
5-10 minutes per deployment.
I felt that application execution was unreliable -- actions such as reading
and writing to the datastore would fail intermittently for no reason (

前端，就算是共享的js代码，本来一个build一个server deployment能解决，现在要做
三个
build，一个server deployment (web), 两个client deployment，亿万用户要更新app
才能fix，几个月都不见得能完全解决。另外，前端都是很容易hack的，把商业逻辑放
进前端，就不能避免商业逻辑被修改，属于把小鸡鸡伸在外面的做法。
而你的所谓减少server side load，这年头server白菜先不说。就说client, 光
android的机器高端和低端性能差距能有上100倍，你把client做胖了，哪是减少server
side load，你是直接让低端用户用不了。
没有把商业逻辑做进前端的，这个是常识。 |

Amazon的build system (Brazil) and deploy system (Apollo) 相当成熟，是业界典
范。结合极度成熟的SOA，我觉得任何互联网公司搞大了都会对A的这套系统相当羡慕。
如果把这两套系统摸熟，将来新兴startup或者中大hot公司随便去。
G也有一套自己的build/deploy系统，以我一点比较limited的道听途说，我觉得Google
的比Amazon的要落后一些。当然两者走了完全不同的路，差别很大，所以也不好直接比
较高下，就算是我一点偏好吧。
除此两者之外，成熟的deploy系统就是Netflix的Asgard了，不过Asgard是和AWS目前
couple的很紧，所以generality差一些。 |
