发帖数: 112 | 19 现在纽约一个排名50+的学校读EE的master，第一学期。选课的方向是IC design，希望
毕业了到CA去做design engineer。
不过现在越读越苦恼，因为这学校design类的课少的可怜，analog类的只有讲bipolar
设计的一门和intro to RF/microwave IC；然后就是VLSI方向的入门课一个，进阶一个
，VHDL一个。而这学校TN方向是系里重点，老师/实验室/课程各种资源都丰富。
另一个就是到学校里来招EE学生的公司基本都是编程/网络方面的。我想到时如果不能
在西岸或者南部找到工作，本地工作又找不到，岂不就挂了？
而我犹豫的则是，之前的资源都是偏IC方向的。比如我工作过两年，是给design house
做IC失效分析（就是帮人做芯片修补和物理/化学分析之类的）；而自学的内容也都是
为IC design做准备，而TN毫无基础，怕转了学的困难，找工时也是劣势。
现在只是想毕业后能找到对口的工作，解决H1B的问题。感觉自己的视野实在窄的很，
总钻角尖。希望大家多指点下，谢谢！ |

一类是就system而言，如CD player, Hotel booking system
另一类是design an end to end solution e.g. client-server architecture。
大部分面试都是这两类，前一类是OOD/OOA,后一类是看你的design or whiteboard
draw是不是make sense e.g. network efficiency, security, protocol design etc.
至于detail design pattern并不是这些设计题的重点啦。 |

我刚开始也很困惑怎么准备这类问题。其实对于那些经常用C++写代码的人来说，他们
对这类问题比较应付自如。因为面试者无非就是想考察你对OO的理解，是一个很open的
问题，没有现成的答案。只要你说的有理，比如说我要定义几个class，是inheretance
呢还是composition，哪些基本的method，哪些class是friend，为什么之类的，说的有
理，基本都可以了。
对于那些C++是最近为了应付面试恶补的（比如像我以前只用C），我建议看看design
pattern。当你把每个design pattern看懂了，而且看过很多例子之后，你会发现给你
一个design的问题，你也可以轻松的说出自己的思路，说不定还可以用几个pattern，
让interviewer知道你对design pattern还有一定了解。 |

来说不一样，前者偏向于设计user
activity和interaction techniques，interaction style，让user有效的完成tasks。
不过从description上来说，似乎和ux
designer很相似：）争取让hr给你hook up一个他们内部的Interaction designer，让
你多了解一下他们的daily job。

经验的是最好的。PHD研究和实际的太脱节了。和硕士和有工作经验的比没一点点优势。
Verification有很多opening。有的需要PHD（不知道为什么）。作为一个PHD去做测试
太shame了吧。好像从verification跳到design的组很难很难。但是从design去测试确
