the tzo to enable dynamic ip address and it works fine. My problem is since
my dsl service doesn't provide static ip address, so I still use the tzo.
And I can't ftp to my server from outside now. Is there any configuration
that's different from dialup and dsl? btw, i am not using router.

北大物理系92年前一般研究生（包括硕士，博士，甚至博士后）和教工都没有internet
access，教授级别有没有我倒是不知道。
高能所92年已经有internet，那时候上网用gopher。
94年开始高能所以每户上千元初装费给外部用户安装dialup access，好像是96bps的
modern，月费要百元以上，（时间太久远了，记不清具体数字了），那时候博士后工资
大概2，300多月吧。
我曾经就给多家北大清华宿舍楼的教工家属安装过，安装的人大多数都是教授高知，有
子女在海外，所以知道internet，知道它比当时传统的其他通讯方式快捷方便，而且应
该相对还是很便宜的。（当年电话初装费是5000人刀，国际话费一分钟要1个多美金，
还是从美国打回来） |

小学的时候到图书馆借书、有声读物和儿童电影（那个时候dialup的Internet都还是高
科技），记得借的时候每次把书包塞满。读的顺序是各种获奖书目名单，奖越大的俺们
觉得越好，也就越先读。那些书好像都很有趣，小孩子经常是坐在墙根儿读着读着就嘎
嘎嘎的傻笑。就这样，一年一年又一年。
俺们搬过很多次家（跨州的），反正记得每住过的town的图书馆里俺们名单上的好书都
读遍了的。 |

访台后的杂感
小妹花了一点时间仔细看了这篇文章,这篇文章是小妹上BBS以来
极少数以温和理性的方式来面对两岸问题的大陆人.
很难想像大陆还有这样温文儒雅的学者型文章能出现在台湾BBS
和dialup的野蛮霸道不知廉耻的野兽文章相比较,简直有如云泥之
别,希望能多多看到大陆方面能常常有这种理性文章的出现.
这位大姐不必对这篇文章过份讶异, 这篇文章虽然很温和很理性
但是在某方面来说仍然不够客观*
他在文中把海峡两岸不能顺利统一, 似乎把黑锅全挂到台独的头
上来,这点是小妹所不能□同的,换个角度说吧,整篇文章从头至尾
有没有虚心的检讨自己大陆政府所施行的共产制度, 抹杀镇压血

I've had the same problem with the reverting changes for 2months now. Every
3 days my laptop force updates, fails, reverts, gets stuck trying to revert.
After turning on and off the laptop a bunch of times in a row it slows down
the reboot enabling me the right amount of time to hit the shift/F11 key
and have it actually let me reset my computer. Then 5hrs later I am back up
and running for about 2days 3 if I'm lucky then the force update starts all
