我车子有15W迈了，之前更换transmission fluid是前车主在10W迈的时候换的，而且
mannual上也说第一次是10W迈，之后是每6W迈换一次。今天把车开到dealer那去的时候
，他建议我不要换ATF（automatic transmission fluid），他说这个要从出厂后每3W
迈换一次，说你这车子15W迈只10W迈换过一次，建议我不要更换了，理由是老的ATF里
有很多metal啥啥的，有助于变速箱工作，换了反而不好，以后如果level low的话加点
就好了。
可是都脏了，还不要换，觉得很不舒服，可是怕换了又坏事。
所以有经验的大侠们，你们换ATF是按mannual来吗？还是真的每3W迈换一次？我最近车
子shift的时候感觉不是很平滑，所以想是不是该换ATF了，有谁有遇到过这种，给点建
议吧，谢谢了！

ok, here are my closing procedures. I live in MA, I close my poor mostly at
the end of Sep, although it could be sooner. My procedures apply to my in-
ground vinyl liner pool. I assume other types of pools are similar.
IMPORTANT: pool repairs are expensive! you have to be very careful, don't
rush, if you don't understand the steps, don't do it. you may ruin your pool
permanently!

好问题。交待一下：在我挖好沟之后，其实footer那里有以前的drain，不是管子，就
只是鹅卵石。我查过code，如果土质排水性好，那么鹅卵石的drain是可以的。我挖掉
了原来的鹅卵石（因为混了土，而且也不够多），铺透水布；填新的鹅卵石，然后是
drain pipe，然后又是鹅卵石，上面透水布再卷包起来。
问题是我的drain pipe要drain到哪里去？我做了两面墙，还有一面墙以后做；这已经
做的墙和以后做的墙的交界处是最低的地方；按照code要求，footer dain要么drain
to day light（自流出地面），要么连去city rain drain，要么在离房子N feet更远
处（N忘记了，可能是10）造一个旱井用来渗水，或者是sump pump。我因为还有一面墙
没做，所以我新安装的pipe就在两面墙交界处终止在原来的鹅卵石里。原来的鹅卵石是
不是继续走到city drain我就不知道了。计划是下一步继续做最后一面墙（总共就三面
），然后看情况，是挖旱井，还是顺藤摸瓜看原来的drain到何处去，还没有进行计划
。可能会安排个sump pump，室外的。

有解释为啥Shell Rotella T、Mobil Delvac这些heavy duty diesel oil的Used oil
analysis结果都很突出的原因，普通engine oil是S certification，例如SJ、SM。商
用truck engine oil是C certification， 目前是CI、CJ。C的additive package比S的
牛x很多，但有可能会不兼容乘用车上的catalytic converter。
我的G35目前就在用Shell Rotella T，摩托车下次换油也准备用这个。mobil的
synthetic motorcycle oil 1 quart 12刀，受不了。

上面明确说明了四周必须要有drain tile。我知道以前的房主在三面墙的墙脚都是有
drain tile的，另外一个concrete wall是我请的contractor加的，之前全是土，所以
前房主很可能没有放drain tile。
Contractor加了concrete wall和slab。但是新加的concrete wall 附近的地面上老是
有水（最近下雨多才发现）。我让一个做地下室防水的人来帮我看了一下，他在地面
drill了一个洞，水就冒出来了。他说很可能下面没有drain tile。很明显contractor
可能故意没有放drain tile或者assume 前房主已经放了drain tile，所以在弄
concrete slab前没有在那个墙脚放drain tile。
我现在应该怎么办呢？我应该找谁最好呢？我当时申请了permit，是不是可以找city，
让city的人出面更好？当时contractor pour concrete前他们也都来做inspection了， |

这个礼拜是shower drain. Drain's plug坏了. 只好换drain. 以为好容易
去home depot买了个新drain, 一个dumb bell样子的drain wrench.
回来拧了1/4圈之后就拧不动了. 然后用力再拧. 啪一下, 把drain里面的cross bar給
弄断了.
这下糟糕, 没有地方可以用力.
上网查了半天, 发现个很土,风险很大的办法.
考虑再三, 还是决定试一试, 去home depot买了个小hacksaw. 回来把drain's upper
inner
rim挖了四个小口子.
然后用锤子和螺丝刀来敲. 半小时之后, 终于敲了下来. 真是累. 安装就很简单了. |

今天早晨正式拿到的permit，简直爽得不得了，可以正式开工了。忙活了几个月，终于
拿到了。自己设计的所有图纸，比请别人设计出图省了好几千块，这个房屋加建项目涉
及到新的两层的房屋结构以及对既有结构的改造，比盖一个新房子的设计还复杂一些。
自恃已经是民用房屋结构设计的专家了。说不定将来失业了，可以依次为生呢！

一家之言，经验之谈，我不是专业人士，我不要responsible for what I say here:)
别找我麻烦哈~ 可以批评指正~
虽然Northwest气候潮湿，但是传统上木材丰富，都是建的木结构房子。木结构的房子
实际上是架空在foundation和中间crawl space里面的水泥墩上面的，任何木头应该是
不能直接接触土壤的。有极少数的房子，不是架空的，我有时候走进去就觉得不对，蹦
跶两下，说，这个房子木有crawl space，非常少见，但是南方不潮湿的地方挺多的。
木结构的房子怕火，怕水，或者说moisture. 偏偏我们这里雨水多，土壤会饱含了水分
，往下渗透慢得时候就会横向，侵入crawl space，解决方式，就是perimeter drain,
或者叫footing drain. Foundation 下面更宽一点的水泥层叫footing，围着那一圈儿
，也就是房子外围一圈，埋下 perforated pipes,就是上面有洞的差不多四五寸直径的

后发现，drain tile根本没水流进来，pump pit基本是干的。找人用camera伸进drain
tile检查了一圈，里面没堵也没漏，状态正常，但是就是基本没水进去。plumber说可
能是drain tile上面的石头被泥沙堵了，水流不进去，建议把drain tile挖开，全部更
换一遍。我想会不会是房子周围的water table很低，没水流进drain tile，但是这也
没法解释墙上怎么会渗水。难道真的要挖开换drain tile，那可是大工程。 |

的房子在一个坡上，排水通畅，所以没有。做设计的时候，心里也没根，担心万一房子
以前装了french drain，那我的扩建项目inspector肯定也得要求french drain，但我
决定赌一把，后来基坑挖完发现以前的房子就没有french drain，只是有接down spout
的drain。爽了一把。
另外一件更爽的事是，设计基础墙的时候，不知道高度多少合适，查了一些code，都是
要求5尺高，这就意味着得浇两次混凝土，费用不低，但既然code有要求，只有照办。
图纸交上去审批的当，很多人说这里的冻土层很浅，大多数是两尺或三尺的基础墙，五
尺有点太过了，因为没有code依据，我也有点将信将疑。但后来考虑太高的墙导致成本
显著提高（5尺的墙比4尺的墙成本高出30%），于是又厚着脸皮跟county联系看看能不
能改图纸上的数据，一个lady跟我打官腔说，改图纸可以，但得重新排队（我当时已经
等了快两个月了，马上就要轮到审我的图了，重新排队意味着这两个月就白等了），把

周一打电话，问他能不能做Coolant Flush，一口答应，说$45搞定。
周三就去了，结果这个Flush太山寨。先倒了半瓶黑了吧唧不知道是什么的所谓清洗液，
还不让我看瓶子。然后run车10分钟，那个机师都不知道把热空气开到最热，我问了他不
开热风怎么洗加热管，他才不屑一顾的给开了。
然后把车支起来，半天找不到coolant的drain。给他指出来了，才找到。drain完了coo
lant，居然就拧上drain plug要往里加新的coolant了(新的coolant也是这半瓶那半瓶凑
