候红海要窄很多而且浅很多。
看不出来为什么智力体力要比其他部落低。渔民那个地方的傻了？渔民都是又机灵又彪悍的那种。
而且那时候显然人类还没有到互相激烈竞争的地步，出来的人现在推理只有几百到几千人，这才出现了GENETIC DRIFT这种效应。全世界总人口估计也就几万到十几万人，在非洲这么一个广阔的地区，竞争应该是很小的。现在还找不出互相屠杀的证据。后来很多年才慢慢发现部落竞争的化石证据。 |

，和 critical studies 很相关。
其实换个角度想，波普尔其实也就表达了两个意思 （如果没有记错的话，N
久以前看的了）：
1） 历史是一个没有 drift 的 random walk，也就是说它是一个 martinga
le，不能进行精确的决定性的预测，而对于明天\未来的最好预期（统计上的
预期）就是今天；
2）历史研究普遍存在着 curse of dimensionality,维度一增加，很多问题
都变得 intractable 了。
当然他的这些观点纯粹是本体论上的，即无法证明或者证伪。
其实即便是接受他这些假定，这些问题也不一定解决不了，第一个问题，不
需要预测具体的path，只要有一个final payoff function （视具体问题而
定），和well-defined 的 boundary condition，无非是数值解 SDE/PDE；
第二问题，高维无法用finite difference method 解 SDE/PDE，就用蒙特卡
罗模拟好了 ……

---我的理解这个说法恰恰是波谱而反对的，martingale实际上是无记忆的，也就是说
未来的状态只取决于今天的状态，波谱而认为这可以用来预测自然物理世界，比如知道
一个物体的目前的运动速度，加速度和位置，那可以很准确预测未来的位置。波谱而认
为这不能用来预测历史，因为历史未来的发展不单单和目前的状态有关，而和怎么样发
展到目前的状态更加有关系。
2）历史研究普遍存在着 curse of dimensionality,维度一增加，很多问题
都变得 intractable 了。
----这个我的理解是，不是纬度增加导致问题复杂，而是纬度之间的关系导致问题复杂

由于工作和家庭都有很多事情要对付，到现在才输完吴今的文章。要说明的是：
文章是吴今在大学二年级时作为英语课的写作作业交给老师的，我一字不改地抄
在这儿，里面的任何语法或拼写错误都是原先存在的。另外，我保存的确实是吴
今亲笔手稿的复印件，我也曾想直接扫描后贴上，但是十几年过去了，纸张已泛
黄，我怕扫描后各位朋友看不清，故宁愿花点时间逐字输入。当然，我会再试着

You Are Here, Voyager: This artist's concept puts huge solar system
distances in perspective. The scale bar is measured in astronomical units (
AU), with each set distance beyond 1 AU representing 10 times the previous
distance. Each AU is equal to the distance from the sun to the Earth. It
took from 1977 to 2013 for Voyager 1 to reach the edge of interstellar space.
