还是喜欢durham的气候，
话说北卡那边房价真心便宜，50w不用的，
我们这里30w，durham county以北，能搞到很大的房子了
不过还是看你了，
想要买东西方便的话还是去chapel hill这种已经比较成型的town吧，
像durham这种大农村的话（虽然自然风光我是很喜欢的），
可能得耐得住寂寞哦~

房价低,房屋税率也低.仅可能避开离Durham市中心太近的地区,整体来说Durham的西边
跟南边的治安比东边和北边好. |

1. Chapel Hill
Chapel Hill的permit可能是所有地方最容易拿的。不过因为当天12点半有Football
game，我们需要考虑提前到10点左右开始，好处是到时候人会非常非常多，而且以
family为主，可能效果会更好；
缺陷是人多会比较混乱，可能大家更对football感兴趣，city council可能会以警力不
足或者和football活动冲突而拒绝我们的申请，停车也可能会比较麻烦
2. Raleigh州政府附近
附近有很多museum，周末带小孩的家庭会不少，ABC电台也有个办公点在附近，距离不
超过半迈，这个是他们的地址Raleigh 319 Fayetteville Street Suite 107
Raleigh, NC 27601 (919) 899-3600。附近停车也方便。还有News&Observer报社也
在附近。
缺点是不知道permit容易不容易拿，需要多久时间办下来；人流量不知道够不够；ABC
周末应该不会有人在。

是state park，5 min driving就到shopping area.地下室没有装修，不算在sqft里面
，房子是2800 sqft,地下室是额外的1431sqft.院子是0.34acre，我们自己开了块菜地
，距离Duke开车15分钟，距离UNC20分钟,20 Minutes to RDU airport. 7 Miles
to Durham Bulls baseball, the American Tobacco district, and Durham Center
For Performing Arts. 附近有个高尔夫球场。 |

发帖数: 23 | 10 学区好的地方通常房价也贵，Chapel Hill的学区明显好于Durham （Duke所在地），当
然房价也贵一些。在 Duke 的很多医生，教授也会到 Chapel Hill 居住。 这里可以看
到Chapel Hill 区的学校排名，其实8分到10分的学校差不太多，值得一提的是 Chapel
Hill 的 Glenwood Elementary School 有双语班，用中文和英文教学

Durham 的房价要比 Chapel Hill 便宜，购物方便。如果只有一个孩子，可以选择住在

可惜我刚走...离开学校才知道打羽毛球是多么的不容易啊...
昨天下午去Badminton RTP的新球馆试打，拍了些照片贴上来。此馆附属于Durham Peak
Fitness， 共有四个场地，新的塑料Cushion，效果比地板要好，我感觉自己比在老球
馆跑得更快，跳得更高。空间也足够高，反正我试图将球打上顶棚，但都失败了。算是
RTP地区唯一的非学校的羽毛球场馆了。另外，会员还可用其他所有的fitness器械，跑
步机。还有shower和locker供会员使用。喜欢打羽毛球的朋友可以考虑。

在加拿大流感每年都影响数百万人，尽管到目前为止仅有少数实验室确诊病例，健康专家还是建议大家防范于未然。
Ontario卫生处的David Williams博士说：“到目前为止没有什么特别的，只有极个别的病情，但这并不意味着我们能够放松警惕。”
“每一年你都没办法预测流感疫情的发展，它总会给你带来惊喜。”
接种工作预计要比2009年要顺利的多，当时一个13岁的健康男孩在接种疫苗的诊所中被踩踏致死。
“今年，Ontario的5百万剂疫苗大部分已经分发到诊所和医生手上。所以不必担心会有短缺，即使5百万剂全部用完，这从来没发生过，仍然能得到更多的疫苗。”Williams说，如果全省每个人都愿意花时间去领取疫苗，他会很高兴。”

我昨天去慰问了。
1）这个事件不是抢劫，也和Durham的治安无关.
2) Durham的治安确实是美国倒数第一的，我住在离案发事件35分钟的Cary；
3）北卡州长，中国驻美大使馆，都来这家慰问了。

marriage to its constitution, with voters banning same-sex marriage and
barring legal recognition of unmarried couples by state and local
governments.

toppling of a nearly century-old statue of a Confederate soldier in North
