。为了争取时间我说上，目前的安排是2门到8月初。不知道会不会有幺蛾子出来。不过
，现在的问题是RFE 最晚回复时间为5月底6月初（87天），如果找不到工作，RFE 没法
回，夏天的课也就没什么意义了。

现在是各回各家，各找各妈。等着炒下一阶段了。
从昨天开始，我感觉大盘会回调5%。

听一个学问做得很好的中国学者评价，很多课题的研究
其实和Murdock手下电话窃听没有区别，就是狗仔队学会
用计量工具而已。反正现在顶级杂志也热衷发这些文章，
和tabloids也没啥区别。
CEO compensation/investments and personal characteristics(什么年代，什么季节
出生，什么地方张大，什么地方读书，住什么地方，老婆是
干啥的，几个兄弟姐妹。。。。。。。)，比狗仔队强的就是会计量。
最近关于IQ的研究也很多，分析半天的结果就是IQ高就是好
作者都是名教授，换个人写想都不要想有机会发表。

PKU大三,ECON,GPA:3.7/4.0(主要是英语课和政治课不好,专业课倒还不错)
MINOR:applied math,GPA:3.2/4.0
课程:数学分析,概论论,数理统计,常微分方程,近世代数,高等代数,实分析
(第一个学期完全没有方法,概率论考了70,伤心死了,下学期力挽狂澜)
GRE,GMAT,TOEFL还没考,红宝已经过了4遍了,打算下学期一起搞好,这样感觉学英语的效
率会高点.
RA:跟两个老师做过,一个是UCLA毕业的,主要是做econometrics的,program evalution
一个是UC Davis的,做国际贸易的.跟金融差的比较远还,但是PKU里实在是没什么做金融
的而且有海归背景的牛人.大部分跟金融相关的基本全是宏观经济学,跟真正意义的金融
差得太远了.
如果能发PAPER的话,也只能做一些econ econometrics实证研究的文章, 不知道学金融看不看
重这些
本来也没想做学术,前两年一直在搞其他的活动.但是由于给第一个老师做了RA之后,对
PAPER,还有本来不喜欢的数学产生了浓厚的兴趣,觉得真的是很有意思.我是真心 |

A professor told me long time ago that Granger has very good intuition, and

伍德里奇的introductory econometrics， 貌似是给本科生的？不过写的很好，如果以
前没有计量基础，读这个应该是首选了。 不过我也觉得不必要买最新的.........
我觉得Greene的那本Econometric Analysis，内容更难吧。

作的.但econometrics对编程能力要求高些.sas还是最主要的工具.stata去business用
处不大.C++很多单位也有要求.如果要自己写算法,matlab和fortran也要搞搞.fed/imf/
wb都不是容易进的.那些都还是要研究型的.如果你不准备搞研究,那几个地方基本是没
戏的.但一些州的公务员也要搞数据分析的.另外,不管搞宏观还是微观,对计量的要求都
不低的. |

they are pushing me to make decision.
I am interested in Industrial orgnization and Econometrics. I know they aren
't top schools.
Anyone one has any idea about these two schools?
I cannot find recent placement info of Purdue. They only offer alumni info
on its website.
It seems econometrics at purdue is not good.
Please give me some suggestions.
