误到12月份还没有办下来。
因为要回国探亲，单位给加急办了H1B，已经办好，回国一切顺利。
回来后受到移民局的信函，问我要不要继续opt extention的申请，因为他们已经得到
通知我已经办了h1b，我想问问班上大牛们，这两件事冲突吗？如果我继续opt
extention的申请，会导致我的H1B失效吗？

最后 extention 比 transfer 早几天下来
后来律师说，
extention 不pp也没事，当时 让我自己选择
我担心 transfer 比 ext 早，为了保险交了pp，跟公司的理由是要探亲，自己缴钱 |

Here's my experience;
submit: letter for extention, forms, check, bank statement, copy of I94 (don
't have to submit orignal one), and a letter from hostipal that I had a baby
. BTW, I didn't sumbit return airline ticket.
Most important is that you need explain why she/he has to stay with you. Be
clear and specific.
Immigration officers are human being too. They will give you an extention

The reason of the suggestion is that there might be wrong doing on the
immigration officer (or translator) side, sensing from the last word from
the translator.
Here are the two suggestions:
1. Work with your mom to reconstruct the process as detail as possible
and keep all relavent evidence, what the immigration officer (through

0.文章开头有一段无关的，英国贵族如何在生育上超过贫民的讨论，算是引子。
1.中国的考试文化，由于基数过大，尚不足以造成生物学意义上的进化选择压力。(我
觉得其实是有的，这里作者没有定量讨论，只是hand wave了一下，而且在文化上，考
试属于全民性的活动，文章里也有能考试对于讨老婆的优势的论述)。
2.中国的“分家”传统在农村造成地主/富农后代经济地位的快速下降，从而中国传统
农村的繁衍竞争压力大大超过其他文化，所谓能剩下来的都是人精。作者虽然没有明说
，但这个因素造成的优胜劣汰的压力是很明显的。

，就把稿子拿过来看了看。一看是个国内的小组交的稿子，那英文说的，啧啧，除了中
国人，没人看得懂。几乎就是先拿中文写好，再一个字一个字的硬翻成了英文。
国内研究人员英语不好，这有请可原，但是我看了一遍文章之后，最大的感触却是中文
似乎不适合写学术文章，非常不严谨，即便硬被翻成了英文，还是可以看出原有的中文
的不严谨。也许我说过头了，其实是研究人员不严谨，并不能代表语言不严谨。
比如说作者在多处强调他们用的技术好，因为这个东西可以用来检测样品“in a
lesser extent"。未婚夫看了半天愣是不明白这是什么意思。我一看就琢磨出来肯定是
硬把”更小的范围内”给翻成英语了。就算不提这个拙劣的翻译，只说中文本身，什么
叫更小的范围？到底是什么的范围？是浓度，重量，还是什么？看的人一头雾水。再者
说，这个短语用的就不对，明明应该是to a lesser extent, 典型的拙劣翻译，中文有
个“里”字，就以为对应的英文得是 “in”。
