你要想想怎么回答。。然后就在这里发文，看看大家家长有什么好回答，
采用就是。。。
或者说你可以从因式分解本身的思维方式来和你小孩讨论这个问题啊，
指出这种思维方式的好处啊，比如说，减少某些FALLACY的思维方式。。。
另外这是，你把你认为因式分解的作用是什么告诉她啊。。。有时候
小孩子问这个问题，未必是对人生困惑，问什么FUNDAMENTAL的问题，
也许这个东西对她来说太无趣了。。所以你得想个有趣的方式让她
从不同角度看这个问题。。。

1. 可以和孩子说，你现在的功课完全没问题，能不能升学要由老师说了算，老师认为
你已经学得够好了；（这个可以跟老师了解一下，我估计没问题，不然老师会来沟通）
2. 可以和孩子说，只要认真+努力，你完全可以做到和那个学霸小姑娘一样好。妈妈可
以帮忙，讲解没有掌握的部分，找练习题练习。如果不肯努力就不许抱怨自己不聪明，
这是对爸爸妈妈基因的诽谤 ：）
3. 最重要的，you can do anything you set your mind to(至少在这个年纪），关键
是要足够想，想到真正愿意付出努力的程度。
4. 普通人一般容易过于乐观，因此有类似于planning fallacy之类的认知偏差。据说
在计划方面，很少有人能悲观到比现实还糟的程度。这个性格如果用好了，he would
be more prepared for life, 感觉不是坏事 ：）只要认识到自己的这种倾向，不去没
有必要地影响自己的自信就行了。 |

Straw man, again.
What a true example of hypocrite is:
A person attacks an opponent using the same techniques which are supposedly used by the opponent's side to oppress said person's side.
If this is the type of freedom and deomocracy said person claims China should have, no wonder the movement failed miserably. Distortion of facts or arguments
would fool no one, in the free world or the "not-so-free" world.

The fallacy is the assumption that you
do not waste time.
Fact is, we all do. I waste A LOT of time.
So that type of calculation is not meaningful.
I don't do it, not even several bucks of stamps.
But I think people can do with their free time
as they wish.
I throw away $thousands a month due to careless
or insufficiently diligent business negotiations.
More than $4K so far this month and likely a lot
more by the end of the month. |

But the guy's fallacy that ALL your losses go down as a one-year, $3K loss,

False Analogy
First, the selection criteria for Science Olympiad and college admission are
different. The former is one test (or three total tests) determines all
while the latter might consider MANY factors other than test scores.
Second, the purposes of the two events are different. Science Olympiad is
almost a pure competition to find the BEST while college is for education
for the next generation.
