just got back from a regular maintenance trip to a Hyundai dealer,
What a surprise! the entire lot that once were parked with "in-stock"
new cars are almost empty!
OK, it's not that this dealer is closing. There are some used cars
decorating the rims of the lot and a few sonata, SUVs around. But the
all new Elantra has only one which I guess the dealer has to use it
for test-drive though.
But again, Hyundai to sell luxury under its own brand may be too far-fetched
yet. |

文章是关于学生的course evals, 大致上讲研究发现，学生给的教学评估和老师给分儿
的容易程度成正比，想让学生打高分，你就得给他们打高分，于是后果之一就是教育质
量的下降。另外，学生的评估还和这个老师有多性感成正比，越sexually attractive
的老师越容易得高分；研究也发现性别差异和文化差异，一般女性老师，外国籍老师，
非白人老师的教学评估要比白人男性的老师低。呵呵，偶和朋友们还说不sexually
attrctive, 女性，非白人，外国籍，又比较严格的老师看来是没指望了。

used to be a big Leica fan, he was given a Leica M3 when he was in college
and the camera still works after 50+ years.. He also has 2 M6, one black and
the other chrome.
I had a G2 myself about 10 years back, had to sell it 5 years ago because I
switched everything to digital.. It is also fine, but I like the Leica
better.. just seem to be better made.

people's taste about the house changes over the time, the older house also
fetches much less than the newer ones. They could now sit on the land for a
few years and build new ones in the next housing bubble. The old not-well-
maintained house would not be able to sell as much as the new house...and in
some places, the difference could be bigger than the construction costs. |
