小弟打算在近期申请绿卡，听说有家叫Murthy's Law Firm很有名，很多其它law firm
都引用他家文章。有前辈用过他家吗？能否给些评价？
如有其它好的律师推荐也烦请介绍一下，不限地域，不限中外，不胜感谢！

旧文说离开这个Staffing Firm的话H1B立马revoke，140也得重来，要是这样的话只能
快点找个肯办绿卡的FTE工作了，哎，挺难的

想走eb1b， 那家比较有经验？多谢
还有，eb2 special handling 和 eb1b各需要花多少钱？如果差别大的话，想给系里说

发帖数: 1325 | 11 我昨天也为EB1B的事情，给其中两家firm打过电话。第三家 Irani& Wise只有
一个律师，其他的雇员都是没有Law Degree的助手。跟其中一个叫Lisa的通了话，
伊说起话来完全不着边际。问她有没有做过xxx专业的EB1B Petition？答曰，
他们做过的case 没有索引可查。
又问，如果文件齐全，最快他们什么时候能提交申请？答，取决于学校。
伊还提醒我，接受委托后，他们只能跟学校方单线联系，申请人有问题，先问学校。
第二家Fragomen，学校跟我们介绍，说他们是专做移民的 firm。一个Partner
加 4个Associates，都是有JD的律师。跟其中一个叫Nathan的Associate打了
电话，明显感觉专业的多。至少还知道最近几个月EB1B的申请暴增，因此移民局
增加了RFE的数量。
打算最近几周就提交申请，我们可以一起讨论。 |

Costco的床垫之后在San Leandro的一家越南店买的。
我觉得有点硬（不过还行，比软了强），但LD喜欢。so far 还没有任何下陷的迹象。
价格非常好。比网上看到的最低的还要便宜。具体价格就不说了（因为我们还买了一套
卧室组合，一起搞的价钱）。
不想有托的嫌疑，如果要店名地址的话，可以 PM 我。
据店老板讲，亚洲人很多买这种SIMMONS EXTRA FIRM的。他们店里有样品，可以躺上去

的确，这对中国人来说是个问题。但很多人把解决方法都推到英语口语，我不这么认为。
首先沟通问题是有两方面的，1是思维方式，2二是语言驾驭能力。我认为中国人在语言
能力上的确有不足，但主要问题是思维方式。这一点很多人都没有意识到。
问个简单的问题，公司组织的happy hour大家都去吗？行业会议大家都去吗？公司组织
的公益活动大家都去吗？其实，这里是最能了解美国accounting firm里文化的地方。
我的经验是，绝大多数中国人都不主动参加，跟别提组织这类活动。
试想想，一个平时都不怎么露面的外国人，跟你说一大通不太清楚的中文，你能接受多
少。关系近了，很多时候别人更容易包容你。有人会说，跟客户的communication问题
怎么解决？其实只要你更多的融入你所在的公司，部门和小组，很多和客户交流的技巧
都能学到。照葫芦画瓢呗。
所以，我认为最为关键的是如何解决思维方式的问题。咱们中国人更着重自我的修为，
但在美国公司里生存，不光是accounting firm，融入别人的文化更为重要。举个例子
，人家说足球，你知道吗？人家说电影 |

要面试，谈好如果通过的话
2009年6月上班，我就要在今年9月把现在的工作辞掉，去做full time学生在2009年4月
拿到master。
不知这样我的风险会不会太大？今年9月到明年5月都没收入；还有，他们会不会中途在
我辞职后收回offer？
请行内人士帮忙看看？谢谢
我的本科不是accounting，现在的工作和会计没有很直接的关系,虽然也做audit
compliance等。
请问两头空的几率大吗？一般那种规模的firm会作出那种事吗？
还有，2009年中的话，大约可以拿多少年薪呢？有看到某个对4大和4小有些了解的人写
的文章，说该家公司的pay和
4大差不多。

If so, I interviewed EY Chicago with the guy at the same time (again a small
world, he and I went to the same college in beijing); it was 2004 October;
I really don't think the h1-b rule applies anymore after the firm I finally
joined had half new hires not getting the h1-b in April 2006.
Anyway, small firm does not have good training, but not that much crap going
on. I still feel so good everytime I think about the day |

in various locations. The firm is expanding in the Chinise market, all those
Chinese clients are decent companies in China, in various industries,
through reverse merger, they just want to save audit fees. Recently lots of
Chinese Form S-1 jobs, which requires 3-year audit. Almost all the staff in
another office went to China, some have been there for over 3 months, and
can't get back.

CPA firms do not match everyone's personal goals. It is reasonable to say
work-life balance, career goals etc.. |

有工作经验。想找Irvine附近或者LA的accounting firm的工作，audit,tax或者其他职
位都可以（因为住Laguna,所以比较prefer Irvine的。不过如果有LA的我也会考虑搬家

my friend got laid off 2 months ago, but he got 2 offers from local CPA
firms within 1 month. As long as you try hard, you will get what you need.

。Senior真的累啊。我在想到底是转去中小的Corp（大的应该没戏），然后慢慢积累经
验熬5-10年后作个Controller呢，还是转Tax以后自己开小小Firm好呢。如果转Tax,4大
内部转，从entry level做起，会不会不适合以后自己开啊。是不是还是应该去10几人
的小firm作学的比较快比较多。这样也学5年后就能自己开了。这里有远见的能人多，
给点意见吧 |
