两周前，Massfish约定去钓一次cod，我觉得到九月，水温就凉下来一点了，dogfish就
会少多了，于是就定在今天。KV本想来一起搞tuna，可是考虑一同去的几个人都没有装
备和经验，船长也没钓过tuna，加上今年tuna鱼情slow，很有可能空军，大家决定还是
以cod为目标鱼。对KV来说，最近忙得不可开交，如果大老远来博士蹲就为钓他从前钓过巨
多的cod，也是不值，所以就留守梦涛客，为大家今年的fall run打头阵。
一大早大家在Green Harbor集合，放船下水。Massfish亲自开船，早上天公作美，出港
时风平浪静，大家有说有笑，互相吹嘘自己最得意的钓鱼经历，这是fishermen凑在一起
永恒的话题，一边不时的给Massfish一点压力—-大家都知道船钓收获好坏，和船长找
鱼的水平直接相关。果然Massfish在压力下爆发，第一个钓点就停在鱼窝子里。260尺

Pamolar结的强度确实比perfection loop大，这个很多fishermen都同意。Pamolar
knot和improved clinch knot用来绑钩非常好。
还有一个简便易行的loop 是surgeon's end loop，不知有没有人测试过强度。
我试图用80lb以上的mono打这些结，觉得很困难。后来用tie fast工具，打nail knot
，容易一点，尤其是在船上摇晃的时候也能打。不知你有没有更好的方法。 |

海远点有大群的pollock，拉到手软，这个是我的favorite。从Rhode Island出发可以
钓winter cod，sea bass。只是经常刮风，所以坐大船出海比较方便。十一月底还出海
的船不太多，你可以看看Eastman dock，Yankee fleet，Walsh's fishing. 如果
charter 6-pack小船，就得多找找了。如果天气好，Kayman too还会出海。这条
charter boat一向高产，我每次回来胳膊都要酸痛几天，呵呵。 |

我给你觉个我自己在鱼版的经历吧。
今年春季，我和几个朋友，没人花$350, 去北卡钓bluefin. 全天只钓了一条84",
350lb的，超过了keeper slot, 必须放掉。我都没来得急和鱼合影，就放了。但我照了
鱼的照片，和一个朋友和鱼的合影。事后船长也在face book 发了照片和报告。我也一
再和船长合适尺寸，并回家后查文献，看尺寸对应的重量。
我怕惹起一些酸葡萄，写报告时，低调再低调。强调是集体的功劳，是低技术的
trolling, 不是high tech, 说我们晕船反应迟钝，等等。结果当然有真诚恭贺的回帖
，但还是接了了几个酸葡萄。什么你这尺寸不对，被船长骗了，你们为什么不在船边
release, 一定要拖上船等等。。 你说我心里舒服吗？要舒服的话，我就不是人了，哈
哈。网上的google专家，天天在那理论意淫，连bluefin长啥样都没见过，而我们顶着5
-8尺的大浪，拉了近一个小时，C&R，还要被你指指点点。还有的pure meat fishermen

The Hometown Education Foundation (HEF) 是Wisconsin大学杨同海教授发起的,主要
贫穷山区中小学生的一个慈善机构.(Detailed info can be found at http://www.hometowneducation.org/).在成立几年来,HEF已经帮助了数百的贫穷孩子.
这次的competition还有30个小时结束(截止时间为星期二中午).HEF目前排在第70位,但

Game Wardens by Sabine found 2 fishermen with gill nets who had 56 flounder,
40 which were undersized. They must have had to get a loan to pay their
fine. No wonder we have problem with restoring the flounder population.

的一个fly fisherman曾极力建议我上个ocean kayak在bay里玩。但我实在是没精力搞
。在我们这，bay里甚至oceanfront的主要问题是，这里是bait fishing的天下，岸钓
往往是和一帮bait fishermen挤在一起。你有kayak，可以从容地探索一些creek,

发帖数: 5728 | 16 reel seat上你用的是什么epoxy胶？我用的是mudhole买的专门上reel seat的epoxy，
setting很慢，但是发现一个问题，就是强度不够，grip tape和butt cap都曾偶然被弄
开过，配容的比例肯定没问题，我都是用带刻度的针管。
这类专门reel seat的epoxy强度不够是特意的么？我有两支用的是alps aluminum的
reel seat，rod demo时候有几个看到，要求我换成碳纤维的reel seat，当时说可以拿
下来，所以让我在猜测是不是强度是特意这样设计的？我第五支杆子非guides部分的
epoxy，是去home depot买的heavy duty的epoxy，那个真结实，上butt cap和reel
seat干的快，而且超强。
你reel seat直接顶foregrip，不影响casting么？我两支是#16的reel seat，后来是觉
得太细，就开始用#18的reel seat，如果直接顶foregrip，因为一般eva的foregrip的

saltwater fly fishing的终极目的，sight fishing and fly fishing tarpon.
一，准备阶段
半年前联系好mid-key 一带的guide，名叫Mike。Mike是在NJ beach玩surf出身，后来
去了Keys玩fly fishing并作了guide。我告诉Mike我用9wt钓striper几年，但没用fly

这次是第一次pure saltwater fly fishing trip, 一杆，一线，一轮，一车轻装出门
远行。杆是海钓标配9 wt, sage xi2, 轮子是Orivs新出的Hydros V, 线也是岸钓
striper的标配9wt RIO intermediate. leader 有striper leader, 也有自己绑的。
Fly 主打是sand eel, clouser, deceiver, silver side, 配和其他的一些pattern.

今天看了看天气，有点预感，还是抽时间带爸妈去放风吧。
到了湖边，感觉不错，老办法开甩。
老爸第一杆就是一条大羊头，拉了一半跑了，一看上面那个hair jig钩子都拉开了。
第二竿，又中，nnd，不会是同一条吧。
这回拉回来了，是下面那个hair jig，大概20寸的羊头，扔掉。
看来是个好兆头，继续勤奋的甩啊甩。
鸟来了，鱼也慢慢来了，于是乎。。。。。。。。我上了一只鸟啊，没天理。
可怜的家伙被我用网抄回来，解了半天，被他一挣扎，老爸和我人手一钩，报应啊。
终于解开了，放走了她，抬头一看鸟都没了，what the hell!
还得甩。。。。
甩，中！
自07年以来第一次真正的鱼汛开始了，哈哈
每杆都有，老爸用两个饵，就是每杆两条
居然持续了整整大半个钟头，中间snag肚皮都搞回来三四条，大小还不错
累死了，比举铁还累，钓者钓者发现桶太小了，额，撤吧。

不违法，非常清楚，不用多说。
不贪心，每个人有每个人的标准。你家里人少，两条三条，很好；你家人多又穷，非得
抓 800 条鱼，fine，不算贪心。政治课本里说 “各取所需”，拿得多了就是贪心。大
家自己心里那把尺可拿好了。
不浪费，钓回家的鱼送人也好自用也好，通通吃进人肚子，不要烂掉坏掉扔掉，不要喂
狗喂猫喂猪。其实这好像也是 fishing regulations 里面已经规定的了，只不过拿出
来再强调一下。

turns into San Luis Road, turn right at the first blinking light and this
will be 8-mile road. It is four miles from 61st St. to 8-mile road. It is
another two miles to Sportsman’s Road (alternate name is Anderson Ways) and

being one of 50 to 100+ people flounder fishing under the Galveston side
bridge fishing an out going tide. You have not heard of anyone fishing there
in several years for flounder.
WONDER WHY??

smarter not post and let everyone and his brother plus a few more all go

下的大约1/3的地方，是卖渔具的。
换个方式问你吧，你钓了这么多年，在麻州见过几个像你这样钓bass如此投入的？我肯
定没有几个，如果有，不至于你一上买买提，就以为找到了组织。美国的普通bass
fishermen，比买买提上的还扣还ws。买买提上像你这样的，估计也超不过10个。
我钓了三年大嘴，芝加哥周边的湖几乎都去了，见到的用lure的bass fishing的人很少。
你把bass fishing的人群想得太大了。 |

发帖数: 5728 | 43 wader中simms做的确实好，很多年前simms还有dry top，可惜因为需求太少，停产了，
市面上最牛b的dry top从此消失，simms也没在投入，市场太小，现在市面上最好的dry
top是kokatat为kayaking设计，当年simms的dry top是为fishermen设计，但是钓鱼这
个市场需求太小。
wader应该支持simms，他家产品高出别家一大截，不是每一家都有资格使用gore tex薄
膜，尤其是pro shell的更少。好产品如果销量上不去，未来或许也会消失。 |

的神饵。船钓晚上troll这个或者live eel(不是sand eel), 很好用。据说kayak的速度
很适合troll这个，所以很多kayak fishermen晚上troll这个。

这个问题我也思考过很久，看过一些资料。Bottom fish，象sea bass，cod这些，一般
是固守在一些structure，在水流动时进食，因为水流带来食物。经常有这样的现象：
在同一个钓点，钓着钓着，到了slack tide，就没什么动静了，等一个小时，潮水转向
，bite 又开始。
Ambush类的鱼，如striper，比较懒惰，守在structure 附近等待水流带来baitfish，
鱼的活跃程度和潮水流动的关系和bottom structure fish一样。如果看到成群的
baitfish，他们也会追。
Pelagic fish 有些不一样。大多数tuna fishermen都说tuna在slack tide更活跃。可
能原因是slack tide时bait fish鱼群更有可能形成团 （bait ball），捕食更有效率
，而且tuna游动捕食，slack tide更省力。
Bluefish的行为，介于striper和Pelagic fish之间。 我多次在slack tide时，钓不到

识虽然还是 5wt，但他们已经把它加粗加重成为 5.5wt 甚至 6wt。所以你买 6wt，其
实是 6.5wt 或 7wt。
