家美国防务合同商日前就其面临的为了省钱“密谋非法向中国出口美国国防部武器计划
”的指控认罪。
美国司法部声明说，2004-2009年间，位于新泽西州的瑞士科技公司(Swiss
Technology)与美国国防部签约，为后者制造用于军事行动的步枪和机关枪零部件。

新泽西州检察长菲什曼（Paul J. Fishman）5日下午宣布，经过警方卧底调查，查证北
新泽西大学（University of Northern New Jersey）存在大量违法CPT挂靠行为，并逮
捕21名涉案人员，基本均为华裔和印度裔。
根据菲什曼指出，北新泽西大学是一所虚假的学校，其实质是犯罪嫌疑人通过招收来自
中国和印度的学生，给予他们来美国的机会，并通过假实习（CPT）的方式让他们能够
在美国“合法”工作。
目前，有消息传出移民局已经搜集学生资料，并开始拘留部分学生。华裔律师李国宇称
，已经有一名该校的中国留学生在康州工作时被捕，目前正在等待移民法庭的审理。 |

当地时间8月20日，美国联邦律师开始会见底特律政府的退休人员代表，试图与其
商议他们在法庭破产流程中的作用。此后一天，破产法庭将针对此前部分债权人提出的
动议召开加急听证会。
8月19日是针对底特律破产资格提出反对的最后截止日。记者从法院文件系统获得
的资料显示，在19日当天午夜截止时间前，有超过100份反对底特律破产的文书递交到
处理该案的破产法院，其中包括美国州县和市政工人联合会(AFSCME)、美国劳工总会与
产业劳工组织(AFL-CIO)、市政府退休人员以及其他大小债权人。
这些反对声音成为底特律申请破产的主要阻挠。主审此案的法官史蒂芬•罗
兹(Steven Rhodes)定于10月23日开庭，对底特律的破产申请资格进行裁决。在此期间
