HAL has really good reviews, esp on food. Usually it's more expensive
compared to other cruise lines, but in May the difference is not much. Based
on the past menus, they have french delicacies like foie gras even, besides
lobters and escargots.
It's the only cruise line that has (not guaranteed though) alaskan king crab
legs based on my search.

starting from Friday sunset. You can try to get it if you are staying there
over the weekend.
The food in Montreal China town is pretty good. (Forgot the name of the one
we went, but it was actually better than any NYC Chinatown I ever went.
Au Pied de Cochon Montreal is a famous foie gras (goose liver) restaurant,
but reservation may take over a month. I tried it, I do not like it much.
