就注册去上课了，发现价格已经改了，是$19，
不过用promotion code (X2B-C8B-A94) 依然可以减少$2。
现在已经不能只是开着电脑耗时间了，我试着开机，但出去了3-4个小时，回来就要求
重新log in了。而且也不能直接参加final exam，必须答对各章的所有试题才能到达
final exam，而且各章的题目之后还有一题“security question”，就是问关于前面
学习材料中的图片、录像中的内容，所以还不得不点击看看，总共也需要不少时间。不
过有个节约时间的方法，就是先到问题的一页，看完问题再点击“previous”回到前一
页寻找答案，利用IE的“编辑”菜单下“查找（在当前页）”的功能可以快速定位。如
果中途log off再回来log in，得一页页翻过之前做过的章节，不过不需要重新做题就
是。到达上次退出地方，就自动加载之前这一章的内容。

在我20年的开车经历中，碰到过两次前面路上车打转的情况。那比LZ遇到的惊险万分。
一次是在大雨天，我在洛杉矶5号州际Freeway上在最左边第2道上正前面一辆车突然打滑失
控打转，我赶紧往最快道换道（当时连回头check的机会都没有），躲过那车。 还有一
次是早上去上班在10号freeway去 LA downtown 方向一辆SUV在我前方莫名其妙地突然
失控打转，然后像个无头苍蝇似的由我左边道转到我这条道，停在我这条道前面（我当
时就没时间去换道，也不知道最后那车会开到那条道），我一直刹车，最后停住时离对
方的车可能就半米的距离。还好那个时候freeway上周围道上（同一方向至少有5条lane
)都没有车，后面的车也相距很远，否则当时一定是大的连环车祸。
在freeway上开车，最重要的是保持足够的车距，以避免不测。但很多人都做不到，尤

视频里好多santa monica beach的图啊，离我以前的apt只有10min步行距离，hoho~~
说LA没有文化有点过了，至少好莱坞也是文化的1种嘛！
It never rains in California //哈哈哈~~ 这不是我喜欢的天气。。所以我来LA不久后就养成在包里放1支lotion的习惯了 -__- 还有LA的气候，只有沿着海边那么窄窄的一条是冬暖夏凉非常舒爽的，稍微离开海几迈就不行了，比如夏天去中国城买菜就觉得很热 =,=b
这几天Allen这里经常下雨，又有点闷热，有点江南梅雨季节的味道了 T.T
至于LA的路，其实我刚去LA就没觉得它的路好，特别是一些freeway，破破烂烂的。。当然这个跟使用率有关系，车多，路坏得快嘛！
现在TX这里的freeway就好多了，ramp外墙还有雕刻，干净整洁的，绝无graffiti~~ 去Austin的路上rest area都是室内有空调的，布置得很好。不过这里的路感觉有点overdesign了，几条freeway交叉点经常弄得很复杂。离我家比较近的一个地方，就2条freeway相交嘛，竟 |

,早上一边起床还一边抱怨。好不容易坚持着出门去上班，发现我家附近的freeway入口全

I was very excited when China first announced the Shanghai to Beijing high-
speed line; It seemed like a great and reliable way to travel between the
two cities without having to go through all the hassles at the airport.
But after the line was launched and its speed lowered for safety reasons, I

我的问题是，在高速辅路中间的lane行使的车，还要yield高速下来的车吗？我以前的
理解是只是靠近高速那条辅路开的车才需要yield高速下来的车，因为高速下来的车从
边上lane再插到中间lane应该算普通的变道了。但是有人说所有的辅路access lane都
要yield。德州法律是这样说的，似乎是所有辅路道都要yield.

曾经租过2006 和 2008的Sienna，分别跑过上千mile
oddyssey在freeway上还行，local太颠，过个小坎都能感觉到，相比之下，sienna在
local要舒服多了。
另外，Odyssey和Sienna加速都不行，特别是merge 到freeway时。 2007以后的Sienna
新model要比2006的好一些。
还开过Dodge， Chrysler，Ford 和Nissan 的minivan （都是出差租车）
觉得最好的是:
NISSAN QUEST
发动机有劲，加速好，油门轻轻一踩，发动机转速就上去了，有sporty的感觉
local和freeway乘坐都很舒适，
方向盘轻，drive like a sedan
同样配置，价钱比两田低多了，
我的下一辆车如果还是买minivan（家有两孩），一定是Quest， 或者 Chrysler T&C
Oddyssey的transmission 有问题， 就算是Acur |

SANTA ANA - The driver of a BMW X5 was unharmed after his vehicle caught fire Thursday afternoon on the southbound I-5 freeway just north of the northbound 55 freeway, the California Highway Patrol said.
The BMW burned on the right shoulder of the freeway at about 12:15 p.m., according to reports made to the CHP.
CHP officer Scott Smith said the driver pulled over to the shoulder when he saw that the battery light turned on. |

前两天看了一些贴子，其中有许多有关车和车，日本品牌和美国品牌，欧洲品牌车的争
论和比较。发现其中许多对比和比较很盲目。很多不具有可比价性，比如说Car 和SUV
那个安全。发现很多人同我以前刚来U.S.时一样, 对车的认识大多都停留在表面上。
在选车对比之前，我想大家应该对不同的车有个大概的了解。这也是我写此文的目的。
希望对于刚来美国并准备选车的人，能有所启发和期到拓展视野的作用。首先声明，本
人未在任何和汽车有关的行业工作，仅出于个人爱好。有不完善之处，希望各位参与讨
论并给于补充。
初到北美时，除了对国内的夏利，桑塔那VW, Audi, Toyota，Cherokee等有点印象外（
当然还有BMW， BENZ等，不过没有机会尝试）。对其它种类的车毫无了解。和很多人一
样，别人讲那一种车好， 自己于是就认为它好；别人说那种车不好， 知己也认为它不
好。 后来才发现其实自己对北美的汽车行业和市场完全缺乏认知。第一天走在大街上
， 发现国外的车真是千奇百怪，什么样的都有，你很难找到一模一样的车一前一后同
时开来。

价钱算是较低的，kbb给的价钱是good 15k，fair 13.5k，而且车是autobahn版的，有
leather seat等等一些其他大多数挂在CL上的GTI没有的配置。我试探性的问了他为什
么卖这个价，因为CL上相同条件的至少也16K以上了。车主却说不觉得这价钱很低，只
是便宜了一千左右而已。carfax上显示是second owner，他自称这车是从他表哥那里买
的，主要是他女朋友开，但是他女朋友现在觉得开honda就够了，所以他就准备卖了重
新买辆honda。车主是ABC，香港人，25，刚好现在他正在准备回香港，而且几年之内不
会回来了，有很多事情要准备，所以车卖得比较急。美中不足的是carfax上只有三个
maintenance的record，虽然车主自称经常保养，还有fail过一次emission test，后来
过了。
他貌似还说他现在开的是18轮？我没听清楚，反正是大的truck。而且他还说之前卖过
七八辆摩托车了。看样子像是标准的富二代
