freeway includes a carpool lane, and no time frame exists for its
enforcement, i.e. Monday-Friday, 6-9 a.m. or 3-7 p.m., then it is a carpool
lane requiring at least two drivers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a day and 365
days a year. At least half a dozen colleagues at work tell me that this is
not true and the same limitations apply to its enforcement as lanes marked
on the freeways themselves.

和gas engine比的话，TDI的燃油效率高40%+，diesel的价格比俺现在的passat用的91
号油一般要便宜10c/gallon。
那么与俺现在动力相仿，curb weight差不多的passat 1.8T比：
passat平均mpg 25 （20 local, 30 freeway)
TDI平均mpg 36 (30 local, 42 freeway)
以91号油3刀一加仑计算，
则每开10万迈，
passat油耗为12000刀，
TDI则为8056刀，
俺家TDI可以节省油费近4k刀，不错不错，呵呵。 |

这周末天气不错，我想召集大伙儿去俺心仪已久的美森湖Mason Lake，不仅有适合家庭
的线路，而且有段落可供单身小青年们一显身手的比较有挑战性的分支线路。我准备周
日下午去，大概2点半从trailhead出发。去那里需要买国家森林公园的day pass停车，
好像是5块钱，可以在52口买，别处也应该有买不过我不清楚，我有NPS的年票可以通行
。不带pass好像问题也不大。
注意！！快到山脊附近500尺左右内都有雪，这个是阳面缓坡没有雪崩危险，但下到湖边估计都
是雪，我们打算坐滑，所以需要穿防水的鞋子和裤子！

Plastic expands and rubs against wood. This sort of thing has been going on

2500rpm以上. 可是TDI 最大扭力转速就在1900-2500转，这里加速最舒服，也最省油。动力比普
通的2.5L engine 好多了，turbo的柴油就是爽啊。
40% freeway, 60% local 可以上40mpg+
纯 freeway 可以上 55mpg !!!!!!
10k才换一次机油。一缸油可以跑500－600mile
年底还退税 $1300!!!!!!!!!!!!(今年好像没有了)
超爽！！
后面装东西也特实用！ 强烈推荐
建议买 golf，德国原装进口 btw

进去不同意见的可能性。那么俺只能说，绝则错。
再稍微给你小小的提示，在羞死蹲这种freeway上，1)最左线不是专用的超车线，2)最
左线是defensive driving 意义上最安全的线。你如果不是很快想要下freeway，最好
一直在最左线呆着。
具体的原因道理你自己慢慢琢磨。搬个小板凳在马路上多多观察，别急唠唠的，十年经
验什马的 |

公路上没什么车，我一开上去就开到70MILE并喜欢上开FREEWAY的爽快，由I-405转去 N
I-5此次行程是计划开去温哥华旅游，2小时的车程到达美加海关，当驶入温哥华
DOWNTOWN的时候感觉像是香港一样，高楼大厦林立全是玻璃屋很好看，我们先去吊桥公
园游玩，再去坐缆车上山顶看风景，也去了史丹尼公园看风景，很多人在那里跑步骑单
车我喜欢这个公园，后来参观孙中上公园并在CHINATOWN吃饭，在酒店住了一晚，第二
天继续去列治文吃东西和在吉之岛买东西... 现在我每年都会去温哥华游玩和吃东西，
酒楼的美食和香港一样太吸引我的胃了，每次旅游我都有种渴望，要是能住在这里多好

猎场没有地址,只有大概的Direction:
从洛杉矶走60号freeway东向, 过Riverside,继续向东10miles,出Redlands Blvd,下
freeway左转向北2miles.右手边应该有一个牌子进入猎场.
猎场早上6:30开门,有人会在那里指挥.如果迷路的话打Chuck手机951-315-5558
我计划周六早上4点从洛杉矶出发,路上买早点吃,基本6点左右可以到猎场.早上守猪守羊,中午BBQ,晚上去Riverside或者Palm Spring吃饭.如果第一天
没有打爽的话,我们开车出来住Motel,第二天再战.如果第一天大家都打够了,那么当天
就回洛杉矶.
北加州的土匪们:我建议这次狩猎让我们南加州的先去探路,如果地方不错了,你们再杀
下来.但是如果你们实在忍不住了,那就下来搞一搞,搞得不爽,我也保证你们就在洛杉矶

better choice. If the police can't get to you quickly on the freeway, they

近快退休了，第一次去中国，先去上海开了个会，然后顺便逛了逛长三角地区，回来之
后感觉整个变了一个人。
去之前，连中国和印度都分不太清楚，有次看我老婆怕晒打个伞，还说中国是不是越白
种姓越高，所以女的都怕晒黑……说起中国，就是人多，发展中国家。
回来之后，直接就说看到6-8 lane的freeway，high speed railway, 高楼大厦等等，
让他觉得美国人太embarassing了，美国的freeway太破了等等。我为了不让他太没面子
，也说了些中国集权，政府own land，所以搞基建很容易，美国打仗花的军费太多要不

civic, 很顺利，没有任何问题。就是在colorado那段freeway比较郁闷，因为freeway
要翻很高的山，我的车加速不行，上大坡时开不了限速那么快，结果我是开着双闪开下
来的 -_-# 记忆犹新啊！
utah的12号公路，CA的1号公路，还有death valley出来的那条路都非常漂亮，建议全
部开一遍。
utah的canyonland natinoal park 和arizona的grand canyon去一个就可以了，非常相
似的景色。
中途开到3000迈记得换了一次机油跟air filter. 西部灰好大。还有就是千万注意防晒
。西部的太阳比midwest这边感觉毒多了-_-! |

开了半个小时。过了堵车路段，刚提速，就眼睁睁地看见正前方一辆pickup在freeway
上突然横过来了，后面一堆车撞上去，大大小小的零件横飞。还好前后车距离都比较远
，踩刹车及时，停下来以后慢慢地从边上绕了过去。 |

After your engine breaks in, 50+ mpg on freeway. Passat's mpg maybe lower
since it is heavier.
can you image the feeling of 600miles+ per tank. My wife need to fill up her
van every week, I only need to do that every 3 weeks hahahahaha |
