After first oil change on new CRV, I noticed fluid level on dipstick was
well above the overfull mark on the dipstick and continued to go higher on
subsequent checks. Also a strong gas smell in the oil. After finding that
other owners were having this problem, I took the vehicle to dealer and
complained that I thought gas might be getting into the oil and I was quite
concerned about getting adequate engine lubrication.

Boston住家的大事，我们要多多加料。
（八卦一下： 一次看房子，邻居老美来了，专门对Potential buyer说，“我们这条街
已经有两个人同意换 gas 了，你要是买了加入是第三家，这样总共2万多的埋管费，你
要分摊 $7000. 这只是接Gas的费用。然后还有换机器的”,这个是老美，连腰包不鼓的
老美都要换gas.）

上面说了， Hotwater >96%AFUE 有 rebate $1500. 这样的话，虽然Boiler贵一些，但

最近想把房子做一个oil to gas heating conversion。房子是steam heating by oil
。现在使用中的oil boiler是2011年的Burnham MegaSteam。家里已有National Grid的
gas line。
网上看据说有一个budget-friendly的gas conversion burner方案，就是只把burner换
成gas burner的而保留现有的boiler。我自己目前倾向于这种方案，因为比较现有的
boiler还比较新，而且也算efficient (86%)。
不知道大家有谁做过类似的conversion没？有没有好的plumber可以推荐?

房子用的是gas furnace（搬进来才几个月）。最近天冷了，发现要用很长时间才能把
家里加热起来。
我把白天家里没人的时候的温度设成55度，然后从5pm 开始，设成70度。等到7pm回家
的时候，房间里才63度左右的样子（室外温度是32度左右）。
感觉热得太慢了。以前住condo的时候从50度加热到70度很快就好了，不过是用电的
furnace。我去gas furnace边观察了一下，发现它大概是这样工作的：燃烧加热一会儿
（感觉同时也在送暖风），燃烧停止，只能听见送暖风的声音。这样送一会暖风后，再
燃烧加热。房子的保暖应该可以，也没觉得哪里漏风。
就是觉得这个加热过程太慢，想问问家里用gas furnace 的，是不是都这样。

发帖数: 373 | 36 前两天去修车铺检查了，check engine 灯亮的确是gas cap的问题。师傅说有些车这个
灯亮了，就算把gas cap盖好了也不会自动熄灭，需要reset一下。当然如果过几天又亮
了的话，可能就需要换个gas cap了。
transmission fluid漏是需要封一下pan gasket，另外fluid的颜色很黑，所以建议我
做flush两次，把filter啥的都换了。最后的报价是370.
到另一家，说这个老车flush不做也可，换一下transmission filter堵漏就行，报价
140。于是就在这家修了。
