知不知道具体的regulation of genetically modified organism (GMO)？
具体一些：
比如用GMO生产biofuel或者biochemical，GMO并不会被释放到环境中去（因为发酵完毕
后要灭活的）
还需要通过regulation of GMO的审批不？

试错法，就是你知道有N种可能，你没有分辨能力，只能一个一个试。有时你以为是N种
可能，但实际上远远大于N种，那就是真的悲剧了。那你试错之前为什么不能先想法排
除一些可能呢？我前老板的很多hypothesis 在我来看是joke，或者可以先做些简单的
实验排除的。总不能propose 影响线粒体功能，上来就买个测老鼠呼吸耗氧量的机器开
始in vivo实验吧？何况还有其他可能。
没说试错不行，但到了试错法的地步（既试错占主流）就可悲了。你愿意做这类研究，
我欢迎，我是不做的。 |

你之所以要screen,难道不就是因为控制某Phenotype的gene有n种可能，但是你不知道
是哪个，只能一个一个试？你要是未卜先知了还screen干毛？
所以我才说，先给个试错法的定义，给了问题就清楚了。。。lol |

的什么意思。例子里已经说的很明白了。当然例子比较极端。但是是确实发生的事。
我根本没有转进，我从一开始就说了 fishing 不是试错法。这是两个层面的东西。不
是有试错的成分就是试错法。
顺便说一下，我是做genetic screen 起家的。当然不会讨厌我赖以生存的东西。我一
再说，我讨厌的试错法是我前老板那样的。可能和你心目中的试错法不一样。你的可能
包括了更多的内容，凡是有试错成分的都是试错法。那样的话，整个生物学都是试错法
了。我的试错法概念是很狭窄的。目前我认为（概念会不断进化，这很正常），对当前
信息和假说没有通盘考虑，没有prioritize，没有rule out某些不太可能的，而试图
exhaust every possibility visible/thinkable，这是试错法。实际中，可能比这个
概念更宽一些，但没有宽到你的那个概念的地步。

。不过出来后就业不愁，所以高风险高回报。我认识一个人，没有counseling
experience，但是publication挺好，后来也被录取了，说明volunteering experience
也不是必要条件，如果有可能，还是把publication搞好点，省的到时候两头落空
第二个问题不知道，要请有工作经验的人来解释下了。 |

undergrad只有优势不会有劣势。好多这个program里的人都是本科毕业好久才去申请的
