On page 38 is a letter from a geotechnical company
that outlines some soil
settlement issues the Association is having.
Also in the financial
documents is information that the Association
does not have the reserves set
aside to pay for these geological repairs.
结果发现原来大多数都没有交这个钱，现在的麻烦是，如果我现在买了，
将来这笔钱就得我来交了.....

是在水利系统，或水利设计院之类的较多。来美国 PHD 是 Geotechnical方向 和岩土
有关， 文章关于数值模拟supported excavations，等 博后是computational tools

it includes three major areas: water and wastewater, air pollution, and
hazardous waste. In a word, environmental engineering is aiming to
clean up polluted stuff in water (surface water or groundwater), in
atmosphere, and underground.
As far as the job market goes, it is moderate good.

矿业，也不太景气。
你要来就到Ontario/Quebec/Alberta，Ontario和Quebec占全国工业的70%，工业部门齐
全，Alberta是油气工业，对你的专业有大需求。。
不过，无论在加拿大还是美国，你还要申请P.Eng.执照。否则没有什么机会。。 |

system inside the house, it appears more likely the site preparation problem.
let me take a step back of explaining it. most of the residential [shallow]
foundation systems are designed with a bearing capacity of 2000ksf; whereas
light duty pavements are 250ksf or so. if you consider the difference of
these two numbers, i would suggest you be careful when considering the

be out of office often, and interestingly, most of american like this kind of
work.
Hydraulic is good also, since U are familiar with all kinds of modelling.
American guys are difficult to deal witht the topic related to mathematics.
Deepwater Engineering is the better major, since the Oil industry is back
after President Bush took the power of whitehouse. Now most of chinese
dominate in this field in american oil com |

of geotechnical engineering. there is an international conference on softening
every year.
so i dont think it is too old or has been solved totally.
as i know, a paper on the constitutive model that i studying now was publish
in the ASCE in 1995. and there are still some problem on it, such as the
convergence problem when applying the FEM. |
