当初phd decline的一只学校（专业比我现在学校好）也在招ap，有我们方向top的

前几个月我重读了十几年前看的海明威几部作品，
the sun also rises, garden of eden, a movable feast.
重新走了下文人心里的法国。
和当年佩服的不得了相比，
发觉海明威实际没有那么高明，高不可攀。
他也就是个年轻人，到法国随便吃吃喝喝玩儿玩儿，
法语也不行，净跟美国expats混，
the sun also rises写得也可以算草就了。
大家要知道一点：
海明威，Gertrude Stein都是美国大农村来的土包子。
到巴黎才是第一次进城，头就晕了，看东西戴有色眼镜。
要不是一战受伤，之后又去西班牙反佛朗哥，
给海明威加了doom and gloom的秤砣，
他的文学性就一般了。
才意识到你说的这个片断里，吴迪爱伦调侃怀旧是很认真地说的。 |

排名第三的彼得堡的state hermitage museum，拍过电影russian ark，就记得金碧辉
煌，没看到什么画……
排第15的Yale Center for British Art我也常觉得比英国的画廊都好……小而精致，
各个时期和画家的代表作收集得很精，介绍也很精，看完印象很深。建筑也很宽敞明亮
，令人愉快，不过太亮是不是对画不好。
有个Doha的Museum of Islamic Art。希望有机会去。
台北故宫上榜，北京故宫没上，倒是北京的789工厂榜上有名。说最近有一个Duchamp
and/or/in China的展览，到六月中截止。听着挺有趣，不知道goldy去看过没。
第50名是波士顿的museum of bad art，听着很好玩，有人去过吗？
Times另外还评选了世界50 museums，我没Times帐号，看不到全文（这篇50 galleries
是其他报纸转载的），谁有帐号的能不能分享一下？谢谢！

最后几句挺有名，他后来自撰的墓志铭cast a cold eye on life, on death;

是打不垮的韧劲，“dance like I've got diamonds /At the meeting of my thighs
”厉害。《The Detached》说人与人的隔离；不过T.S. Eliot是肯定the sense of
detachment的，认为对人对事对文字要拉开一定的距离，才能不执迷。《The Lesson》

Canadian singer Leonard Cohen has died aged 82, according to a statement on
his official Facebook page.

这张Cohen你们觉得像谁？乍一看眼熟得令人吃惊！想了半天，有点像Dustin Hoffman
。最后想到一个更像的人：是不是Al Pacino演的教父？！
Cohen在洛杉矶去世，没公布死因。BBC称之为ladie's man，呵呵：
