闲扯first~~~
最近的话题都围绕着狗，不好意思啊先~~~
话说自从我实在闲着没事的时候带glory出去遛过几次以后，牠现在是得寸进尺了起来
。只要我一
去，没带牠出去玩，牠就整个人跟吃了炸药似的，用爪子刨我大腿，然后嗷嗷叫不停，
牠才不管当时
是group meeting还是啥重要事情在发生呢，就一直叫一直刨。开始我还以为是饿了要
吃的，就给
牠一块饼干，牠当时倒是吃得很开心，可以吃完又开始叫不停，才知道牠是有更高层次
的追求
啊！！！
后来我没办法，每次进门鞋都不脱了，第一件事情就是拿着leash牵牠出去遛弯~
一开始我偷懒，带牠走到马路尽头的小树林那儿就往回走，后来牠不干了，非得拖着我
从另外一个街
区绕一圈再回家。妈呀。。。我这哪是遛狗啊。。。明明是牠遛我啊！！！奋特。。。

今早刚刚通报全体的消息 新提拔了22个fellows
仔细读了他们的简历 从学位和"with xx years of experiences"来推测
已经有好几个肯定是比我年轻的了
这公司实在可恨 在principal engineer之上
居然又加了一级 senior principal engineer
然后才是一道大鸿沟 到fellow级别
公报说"about 4％ of all engineers achieve the rank of fellows"

。住Bridge Bay campground.
Old faithful就不说了。必看的，呵呵。这个basin太大了，每个geyser离得很远，所
以花了这天大部分时间。其实我最喜欢的是半路上的Grotto Geyser，像个漏水的砂锅
，哄哄的响，开水噗哧噗哧的喷，挺壮观的。另外 Giant Geyser和 Castle geyser 发
出的声音也比较壮观。里面还有个叫sanmill的geyser特别可爱，我们绕了一圈回来发现它开始不停的欢快的喷水，而且很多次都喷的挺高的，水都喷到我们身上了，不过到了身上的时候水已经一点都不热了。很可惜的是向往已久的 Morning Glory Pool已经被称作 "
Fading Glory Pool"，因为泉眼被游客扔进去的垃圾堵住了，失去了深蓝的颜色，水面
上还飘着很多蛾子。其实早就知道这事，可是没想到它跟别的pool比起来逊色那么多。
遗憾。大家不要乱丢垃圾哦！

从黄石回来后，每天都要翻看旅行时的照片。这座从几个月前计划行程时就让我激动憧
憬的国家公园，又将在今后很长一段时间里丰富我的记忆。经常在网上看到有人面红耳
赤地争论别的某个地方和黄石谁更胜一筹，亲自去了一趟后终于找到答案：世上最美的
地方也许在别处，但是黄石仿佛超越尘世，根本就是幻境，二者没有可比性。

看到别人的黄石旅程都是六七天以上，我们总共只有五天假期，为了在有限的时间里欣
赏最多的风景，只能精打细算，尽量争取每一分钟时间都不浪费，每一英里路程都不重
复。最后的方案是直飞黄石附近的机场，住在景点边上的旅馆，单程驾驶，异地还车，
去时飞Montana的Bozeman, 离开时从Idaho Falls飞回San Fancisco。五天里纵贯
Yellowstone和Grand Teton的几乎所有经典，时间不算赶，行程也比较轻松。
好事多磨，临行前两三天，四次意外事件先后威胁着我们的整个行程，最后都被一一化

发帖数: 382 | 21 清晨，早早起床，背着相机和干粮，奔向Beehive Geyser。据
http://geysers.net/mobile/ 预测，Beehive Geyser将在8:30左右喷发，
不过这一左一右各有两小时，意味着最长四个小时的等待。我在七点半左右赶
到，还好Beehive尚未喷发。打量四周，只见Upper Geyser Basin村村点火，
处处冒烟，到处白雾缭绕。
快到八点，远处的Old Faithful Geyser率先喷发，揭开这一天喷泉总动员的
序幕。
等了快两小时，Beehive前的预警小喷泉终于出水，意味着Beehive喷发在即。
游人渐渐围拢过来。又过了二十分钟，Beehive Geyser终于喷薄而出。
Beehive Geyser离观众很近，仿佛触手可及，且喷发的时间长，势头猛。两个
多小时的辛苦等待终于得到丰厚回报。
回到旅馆，接出晚起的家人，继续我们的喷泉和彩池之旅。首先经过的是正在
休眠的Castle Geyser，看上去像个大号的Beehive Geyser，或者是小号的
活火山。

2010年底当娱乐界提到Lady Gaga时，基本上一致认为最恰当的描述是"come from
nowhere and dominate the pop culture"。 虽然临尽年底时一次盛会穿了一身生肉装
出场，令绝大多数老美甚至是她的铁杆fans都吐得稀里花啦的，但丝毫没影响她当时的

帽子转战花农的过程种不断探索，然后总结经验教训，希望懒人们受益，lol。
种花呢，当然是想看花，恨不得自己的小花园四季都花开不断，无奈花开花落总有
时，尤其我们6区及以下的花农们。每年冬天我们6区的花农们都在厚厚的大雪中翘首期
盼春天的到来。
前年准备整理花圃，主打花就是从春开到大雪纷飞的玫瑰，确实在开花时间久上，
很少有花可以PK玫瑰，但是玫瑰的缺点就是容易得铁锈病，特别是雨水多的地方，铁锈
病还非常难根除，再者玫瑰虽能开很多拨，但是每拨之间也要稍作休息。另外，浮云菜
农出身，很多菜菜不是都从种子种起嘛？于是乎我也到店里买些花种子种，当然首选
perenial，谁不想一劳永逸，因此annual的花通通跳过。这样几乎只要好看的，漏死、
我二妈 和轰地炮里有的perenial种子都买了一个遍。许多perenial的花都挺难发芽，
最容易的就是carnation 和sweet william。这里向懒人们一定要推荐sweet william，

听coalpilerd贴的《You Raise Me Up》，想起以前讨论过福音歌、黑人歌。考古找到
不少歌，就单独开个帖。
我第一次听的You Raise Me Up是Westlife的版本，想当然地以为是教会福音歌。
karoun说不是，福音音乐来源于黑人音乐，而You Raise Me Up是爱尔兰民歌。歌词里
的在我受挫、低落时陪伴、支持我的你，既可以指世俗的父母、爱人，也可以指宗教的
上帝、神灵。宗教场合也会唱这首歌，算是从世俗走入教堂的例子吧。

另有一首走向相反、从教堂步入世俗的歌是Amazing Grace，歌词是18世纪的英国诗人

第一天”明显是两天，从开始工作到天黑，一共是20个小时。估计是第一天夜里没加班
，和第二天早上连一起了。而且可以注意里面基本上一个昼夜交替是20小时，说明一天
还休息了4个小时。视频里也没说是连续工作或者六天建成。所以全部时间应该是7天到
8天。工作时间是136.5小时。但是能这样建起来还是很令人惊讶的。远大公司还在世博
会上面花了24小时建造了一栋展示楼，那个有24小时连续视频。
下面是Youtube上外国人的部分评价。里面当然有一些是嘲笑中国产品质量低下的。但
是更多的是惊讶。搞笑评论也很多。欧美发达国家因为建筑项目少，所以市场养不起太
多的建筑工人，所以建筑的时候花费时间总是特别长。很多欧美居民对此非常不满。所
以建筑速度虽然值得自豪，却也并不是说我们比欧美强很多。这一点要客观看待。但终
归来说，中国人现在吃苦耐劳的本色仍然非常强大。
外国人的自嘲看看就好，每个国家的人都看自己国家不顺眼。哈哈。
