The Glycemic Index
As a sweetener, agave nectar is the lowest qualified sweetener on the
glycemic index.* Agave nectar has a glycemic index (GI) of 32; half that
of sugar. Honey has a GI of 58, due to its higher ratio of glucose to
fructose (agave is about 90% fructose; note that some honeys such as
black sage honey have a higher fructose to glucose ratio and are lower
glycemic than most others). Table sugar has a GI value of 60-65. Pure
maple syrup has a GI of 54.

如果当主食,早、午餐吃50-100克土豆,有没有问题呢?
看了一些报道,HARVARD主张少吃土豆,因为glycemic index很高,

典型的carbohydrates的副作用。
全麦面包的 glycemic index 比巧克力糖还高,吃了后血糖猛增,两小时后代谢完毕,
血糖猛降,就饿得不行了。
要奈饿,必须吃 glycemic index 低的食物,保持血糖稳定。
最好的早餐是水煮全鸡蛋,营养全面,对血糖冲击小。可以加healthy nuts, 核桃,
almonds, 腰果之类,不过要适量。

insulin太高会抑制fat burning,影响耐力的。

中国人糖尿病患病人数已经超过一个亿。还在迅速增加,这个就是最近20年的事情。
数据摆在那里,跟千老和民科都没有任何关系。
这里讨论这么多,没有提到Glycemic index,也就是升糖指数,各种食物的GI值早就测
清楚了,自己查查就知道米饭,白面的GI值是多少了。
中国人吃米饭白面确实好几千年了,但真正全民吃饱肚子,也就是最近30年的事情。
所以扯历史是说不通的。

研究的专家梅尔科尼安(Stephanie Melkonian)找来1905名于近日确诊患上肺癌的病人

结果发现,每日升糖指数(GI)最高的病人,其患癌风险也较高。研究人员又发现,从没
吸烟的受测者当中,若他们的GI也高,其患肺癌风险增加两倍。高GI吸烟者的肺癌风险

加州米含砷量最低。品种不太,口味不同。价格越高,味道一般越好。印度长米
Basmati Rice味道不咋地,就是Glycemic Index低,价格比较贵。

diabetes is chronic disease that will not go away, peri-operatively diabetic
patients can be put on insulin drip for better glycemic control,
