美国这边wedding都是大事情，所以大家都非常正经地准备，有好多wedding planner在
书店出
售。基本上所有的书上都是提醒你要提前9个月订购婚纱，在theknot.com上注册会收到
一些很有价
值的信息。
本人正式采购之前做了很多research，在网上看了大量的婚纱，主要的婚纱品牌包括
vera wang，
Monique Lhuillier，Pronovias,oscar de la Renta，Priscilla of Boston等等，
把
选中的款式记一下，然后从他们的网站上联系local点，book appointment，到了时候
去看实物就
可以了，最好不要有太大的思维定势，穿上身看效果可能跟想象的完全不同。大力推荐

internationally but no place domestic. i had to lay it in an over head bin
for the 4 hours flight... my gown turned out to be ok... just try find an

是买值。
像lz这样的比较正式场合还没有。
如果你要是能买100到块钱以下，而且还是质量比较好的gown，那当然买比较值得
如果要花200块钱以上才能买到好看的，而且以后不怎么用，还不如租。
这样还不需要保管呢。 下次用Gown再租就行 |

Match的结果终于尘埃落定，周1等电邮的时候非常紧张，因为成败就在此了，虽然一直
告诉自己，今年只是热热身，成败都可以接受，但到真的揭晓的时候，还是很紧张，毕
竟一旦卷入其中就身不由己，何况自己也还是有所付出。到周4等match program的时候
虽然也有点紧张，但程度已经大大减少，1个原因是毕竟match上才是头等大事，去哪里
尚在其次，还有1个原因是心理还是有所准备了，虽然希望留在home school，但直觉告
诉我恐怕是非常困难了，在我rank list上第二位的program应该就是我要去的地方，果
不其然。经过几天的等待，发现果然是要搬家了。

底镜检查吗？记得有个帖子提到做这个检查时，病人自己说他戴着隐性眼镜。不知后来

个人认为病人不会愿意这样做，否则一天12个检查下来，病人哪受得了？：）
2 gown是长袖还是短袖的？如果是长袖的，做上肢DTR要病人卷起袖子怎么说？
3 gown是前面系带子还是后面（费城）？如果是后面，听心肺时，是让病人向上拉（可
以用drape盖腹部），还是向下脱（前胸后背都露出来了，需要遮盖一下吗？）。我看
的录像是向下脱，不给任何遮盖。
4 病人坐着时，脚踏板是收回去的还是一直伸在外面（给病人放脚）？或者只是病人上
下床时拉出来用一下就推回去？
5 大家是饭后刷牙还是漱口+口香糖？记得failedcsonce说考试中心建议大家带牙刷。

我补充一点，就是不要主动去碰病人的gown,最多在PE开始时帮病人解开，而且先要征
得pt的同意。以后就请病人自己拉下或者撩起gown配合你的检查，不要像国内医生一样

我在南湾,半岛和fremont附近看过不少家，三番停车太麻烦就很少去了
说说我的印象，希望对湾区的新娘wedding gown hunting有帮助
没什么顺序，想起来就写了。
1. David's Bridal
bay area有好几家分店,Milpitas这家不错，好像San Jose的人可能会多一点
2. Group USA
这家在great mall里面，跟David's Bridal差不多，规模小一点
3. Jessica McClintock Outlet
这家在三番一个仓库里，试衣间就一大房间，没什么privacy。婚纱巨便宜样子不多
，运气好可能能淘到好的。伴娘和礼服的选择倒是很多
4. Bay Area Bridal/New Things West

我最初的计划是租婚纱的。
一开始一点概念都没有，觉得租tux一百，租婚纱两百总可以了吧
最后转了一圈发现湾区美国店基本没有租的。
中国婚纱摄影店倒是有一些可以出租，要两百多快三百块的样子，可是样子很少很旧号
又小
他们还提供一种服务，就是你给出你想要的样子，他们量身帮你订做然后租给你穿一两
天，要四五百的样子
一开始觉得这是一个后备选择。可是后来担心看不到实物，不知道他们仿造的怎么样。
再加上我再那的时候正好有个客人在抱怨后天就要婚礼了婚纱还没到，吓得我就取消了
这个念头。
第二个选择就是david's bridal了。选了一两件后备的之后心里就踏实了。
然后还想看看designer gown.可是我不想花过500。于是就跑到附近的婚纱店问他们有没
有sample sale。
sample有的打折打很多很多的，试过一件原价3500，最后打到700，还很新很干净。
试了很多家很多件，到后来差不多是抱着have fun的心理了，不试白不试。
这个过程中有两件有意义的事。

英国 Will Durant 写的名著《世界文明史》的第一卷《Our oriental heritage 》。
从名字看就是明显的西方中心。写于上世纪初期，其中对中国的描写还不错。我发现，
从16世纪到20世纪初期，凡是对东方有一点了解的，基本都是对中国观感不错。
但是在50年代以后，也就是中共上台，西方历史著作对中国人整体的评价急转直下了。

双关语，还有pun之类，本身是一种修辞手段，也是文学技巧。任何一个具有发达文学
传统的语言都有。
而且，你把八戒那个桥段当例子来说明汉语的缺点，只能反应出你自己知识浅薄和逻辑
能力低下。
首先，这并非大家日常普遍能遇见的语境。“一个女妖说:我是蜘蛛. 猪八戒回答说我
也是只猪阿.”
这是故意编出来的。 而且属于那种档次比较低级的笑料，因为太牵强。除了八戒，还
有谁会说我是猪？
能用天衣无缝的对音，才是文学高手的手段。
莎士比亚就是一个利用同音制造桥段的高手。一个没有同音字的语言，文学上是有缺陷
的，是瘸脚的垃圾语言。
人家莎士比亚，“比你们不知高明到哪里去。你们呀，too simple。”
