发帖数: 437 | 27 圣诞假期，从Austin出发到新墨兜了一圈，行程8天，共2000英里。因为带着孩子，行
程安排得相对松散，没孩子的话，可以把行程缩短到6天，或者把多出来的2天安排在新
墨北边的几个景点。
12/25 Austin ---> Carlsbad 7.5小时
12/26 Carlsbad Caverns NP
公园离Carlsbad镇大概23英里，挺近的。我们从Natural Entrance入洞，走到洞底的
Big Room，再沿着self guide走一圈。然后坐电梯上来在visit center和gift shop逛
逛，差不多3个半小时足够了。记得进洞带上手电筒，有些岩壁上根本没有灯光照明，
用手电能还看到岩壁上方解石结晶，闪闪的很好看。喜欢摄影的朋友一定要带脚架，洞
里的光线非常暗。这个洞的长度和深度都很惊人，但洞里的石钟乳和石笋普遍显得干巴
巴，不够水润，和渗入的水源量有关吧。
中午过后离开，去Alamogordo，约200英里。沿着285向北，再转82向西，会经过林肯国
家森林里的一段scenic drive，越到山上越冷，路边多是农场，背景是积了一层薄雪的

发帖数: 1235 | 33 周日下午直奔sundance, 上了后山的arrowhead lift, 开始头几个run还觉得风有点大,
到了后来正在chair 上风速巨增,夹杂着吹起来的雪打在脸上好象沙子打在脸上一样生
疼, 一会儿就看不见前面两个chair远的地方. 还好有face mask, helmet, goggle的全
副武装.
cable 连带我们坐着的chair 开始跳舞, 又没有可以拉下来的protection bar, 只好手
紧紧抓着椅子背,祈祷cable千万别断了或拖轨了. gust wind可能超过了50mph,lift的
速度一下就放慢了. 好不容易挨到了山顶赶快下来, 又一阵风过来, 几乎要把人吹倒.
一会儿, lift 放完人就关了, 只好到low mountain 滑了. 比较恐怖. 我见过风最大的
一次. |

发帖数: 1498 | 37 今天把ebay上淘来的二手carbon trispoke换到车上去了，后轮（velocity circuit)上
加了wheelbuilder.com的wheel cover。这个trispoke原来是个场地选手用的，上面有
一条现成的high performance tubular （标称120-220psi）。我给打到130多psi。
结果出去一看，外面刮着15-20mph的head + cross wind。咬着牙骑出去三里，cross
wind里面车晃悠得不行，都不敢上aerobar。这个tubular打足了气，roller
resistance是小很多，可是和地面接触面积也小了不少，加上后轮的wheel cover，感
到来一阵cross gust就能把我吹翻了。所以一直心惊胆战地慢慢往前挪，也不敢放开了
骑，后来感觉实在没有安全感，就只好回头。
不过回来的时候很爽，趴下来，换到53，没怎么费劲就过23mph了，然后加点力，就过
26mph了。心率比平时treshold还低4下。感觉以前的轮子辐条的空气阻力没有了，而且
很明显地感到最大的阻力来自上身。看来aero+tubul |

today is a long day, well sort of, 3 miles run + 40 miles bike + 3 miles run
, equivalent to an olympic triathlon or quarter of a full ironman.
first running leg was an easy 8:30 pace.
biking leg was a bitch,there was a 12-14 mph head/cross wind, with much
stronger gusts in the open field. i was in full aero gear. at some point i
felt the cross wind was about to blow my helmet off... over all avg speed

book的Beach2Battleship Group，好家伙真热闹，才凌晨四点多，上面乌央乌央不停有
人发贴，大多数是first timer特别兴奋地吼一句，表示自己在摩拳擦掌。我一边嘲笑
自己作为二进宫还那么不够蛋定，一边也在group里喊了两声以壮胆。
起床披挂、早餐、退房。无惊无险地来到T1/出发集合点已是早上六点半，游泳起点在
两英里外的滩头，最后一班运送运动员去起点的bus正在登车。有了去年的经验，我不
再很兴奋地到处寻找熟悉面孔，径直来到自行车边上给车打气。完事后，在T1里面转了
一圈观察形势：今年的报名情况尤其好，据说参赛人数有一千八百多，T1里挤满了
fancy的车子，不少的后轮是实心大饼。前些天的天气预告说今天早上有小雨和15mph以
上的西北风，昨天的预告改成了多云和5mph的微风，看来很多人准备用饼轮来crash对
手。
回到自己停自行车的地方，一群人围在我的车边上唧唧喳喳。原来是Seb的亲友团-他老
婆、爹妈、岳父母、大舅子一家etc好不热闹。七点四十五分，工作人员把闲杂人员请

发帖数: 720 | 41 周六不到9点就醒了，一看窗外还算阳光，虽然有点刮风，感觉还不算太糟，决定出去
试试车，一个10迈的loop。出门不到15分钟，天气骤变，country road上一片空旷，狂
风伴着鹅毛雪片只管朝我嘴里灌。锁鞋/手套/windstop jacket都还没到。下身还挺暖
和；上身只是一件warm layer，一件cashmere，一件rain shell，也不算太糟，手臂有
点冷罢了；双手只有半截手套，真是悲脆的不行，几乎完全冻僵。中间还迷路了一次，
差点错上turnpike，加油站问黑人大叔，大叔裹了一件类似国内军大衣的coat，问我，
are you ok？are you cold？只能硬着头皮说not too bad。
最终，45分钟左右，总算熬回了家，完成了新车第一骑。上网一看，气温39F，风速居
然19mile/hr，gusting to 33 mph/hr。 |

On a flat and supposedly transition stage, Contador managed to get back one
minute from Froome.
His Saxo-Tinkoff team made a brilliant move. It's that cross-wind thing
again. Only this time Contador is the winner not the victim.
The decisive move only took 3 seconds to make from decision to execution and
it's totally spontaneous. The gap is only 10 seconds at one point but the
peloton with yellow jersey in it just could not close it because of the
cross-wind.

听过BrokenRod 和 老鲨鱼没有鱼的消息，昨晚和今天下下小雨，是绝好的钓鱼天气，
看到还有兄弟要来， 于是我和David，教学主任Alex，昨晚又去趟Montauk。。。

我也和许多高手交流过， 这几天基本都没有鱼。。。
