挡风玻璃是肯定要换的,就是不知道如果不按照保险公司列出的去修,以后万一出事保险
公司会不会不管。看网上有人hail damage没有修,再次索赔的时候保险公司是按照应该
赔偿价值减去hail damage赔偿价值，自己掏了很多。 |

qoate了几家都是46k 多 出门。昨天下午去了一家没qoate的。开始给的dealer sale
price 42 k 多， 和其他dealer 差不多。 我告诉他在别的dealer那有见到 T6 dealer
price 38k的， 问他们有没有。他去找manager，回来给了一个T6 的 dealer price
37.8 k。车是宝蓝色的，我们不喜欢。他又去找manager，找到一个银灰色 T5premier
，dealer price 36.5 款k。这么便宜因为有slight hail damage （我们至今没有找到
damage在哪）。不过他们会修理，保证是出厂的standard。因为我们有奔驰，另给了
750刀discount。没有dealer fee 什么的。最后出门价 38.221 款k。我们试着再往下
讲，谁知manager发现他看错价钱，不但没减，反而加了600刀。我们说这样不

一辆车发生交通事故或意外（flood, hail damage, vandalize, stolen, etc）后如果
保险公司评估修复费用超过车子本身价值一定比例（通常是70-80%）的话就被认为不值
得修，判定为total loss。Total的车要先转为salvage title。Salvage title的车不
能上路行驶（但可以拥有和买卖），必须修复之后通过Enhanced vehicle inspection
确认达到厂家安全标准后，把salvage title换成rebuilt title才能上路行驶。
Rebuilt title的车只有两种情况是完全没有隐患的，可以考虑：
1. Hail damaged。这种车就是外观难看点，机械和车身结构完全没有受到破坏。
2. 损伤轻微的。比如剐蹭。但这种肯定都是非常旧的车（车已经不几个值钱，所以才
会刮一下就total）。你看到的车显然不属于这种情况。
Rebuilt title在以后出售或trade-in的时候肯定会被压价或拒收。别人也不是傻子，

价格影响很大。才记起去年下了一场冰雹。然后去找保险公司问问，还好去年的hail还
在claim的时间范围内。今天来做了评估，说给2300修车，没有deductible, 保费也不
涨。回家后立刻把另外一辆MDX洗干净看看，结果那么大一场冰雹竟然毫发无损。卖车
的时候才发现vw的车真的很赞。 |

一打听，原来5月中旬这里有比较大的一次hail storm，冰雹把很多家的房子屋顶都砸
坏了。我们找了一个contractor来做了inspection，说我们的房子屋顶也得换。5月中
旬，正好是做完了home inspection之后；close之前的日子。问了一下我们的agent，
她说按法律是应该seller承担责任的，我们立刻通过agent联系seller那边，那边一开
始说他们的保险公司说weather report上没有冰雹这回事，直接ignore我们。我们给他
们看了National Weather Service上关于本地区5月中旬的hail damage report还有
contractor的证明，他们开始退一步，不说修屋顶也不说不修，只是但是要让我们的保
险公司和他们的保险公司交涉。我们联系了现在的保险公司，人家听完了说，这事和他
们没关系，因为是我们的policy之前的damage，不管，他们也不愿意出面和对方扯皮。

Actually I think it happened in summer, so a hail storm
might not need cold weather. A old man in our building said
he never meet such hail storm before in his whole life (he
spent around 25 yrs in Sydney). So if you really catch such
speculates, you will be very very lucky! ^_^ |
