发帖数: 22 | 1 今天先后跟两个headhunter谈，都是电话谈，这两个headhunter是朋友介绍的，是另外
一个国家的headhunter，我会讲点另外一个国家的语言，不过全程交流用英语。第一个
headhunter感觉比较年轻，谈了一个小时，基本上是对着我的简历一条条问具体的经历
。第二个headhunter感觉比较老到，一开口就问我对对方国家的语言熟悉程度，然后工
作签证问题，多少年经验。不到20分钟就结束掉谈话。
谈完后，没什么感觉，感觉对方也可能对我兴趣不大，感觉婉转的表示市场艰难，他们
会帮我寻找机会之类，让我update简历等。
我在这里发文，想问大家跟headhunter谈话都是怎么样的。若有戏的话，该是怎么样的

就没戏了？
本来一直都谈得好好的，这个headhunter人很好态度也和气，第一轮面试后就一直给
update，说很promising， 迎来了第二轮（也应该是最后一轮）。感觉谈得不错,
和headhunter都聊起工资的问题了。但是过了一周后给headhunter写信问feedback，
机器直接打回来说out of office til mid Nov. 这个意思是不是我不是公司的
first choice，但headhunter不好这么说就先拖着我然后看第一个人要不要offer？
给我的直觉是这样，但不知道对不对。 |

(1) May I work with one headhunter or I can work with them both?
(2) One headhunter send my CV to company A.
The other headhunter send my CV also to company A. I do not know whether it
is the same position. Is it OK ? Or I should just correpond to one. Not the
other.
I asked them to send me email regarding the details. But I have not received
anything.

contact。他们的人告诉我说以后要是有人跟我打电话，让我向对方说明: I am
working extensively with another recruiter. 现在的情况是有一个以前联系过的
headhunter现在突然联系我有一个职位，让我答复。不知道我是不是应该告诉他们
huxley也在work on behalf of me。Huxley迄今还没有给我投递过任何职位。还有，就
是以后猎头再有类似的情况，自己应该如何处理呢？

salary if the job is introduced via a headhunter. I guess it might be due to
the reason that the employer has to pay for a high commission fee to the
headhunter. |

原定在周五，结果迟迟没有打来，并且原定在周六发来的coding test也同样没有。给
这个headhunter发邮件问这件事他也根本不理。前天突然发邮件给我说给我安排了另一
家公司第二天下午（也就是昨天下午）的面试（仍然没有回答我的问题），而且根本不
问我的availability。结果由于我已经早早约好了和另外一家的skype面，所以没有接
那家公司的电话。
结果这货今天就开始各种打电话和发邮件来质问我。连“Can you speak?”这种标题都
出来了。我非常想取消掉和他的合作，第一是因为他各种吹嘘，办事不靠谱，第二是他
态度也极为傲慢。在此想问下各位过来人，如何取消掉和他的合作呢？如果取消的话，
对我未来的job hunting有什么负面的影响吗？

大概情况是6年左右工作经验,mid-to-large size hedge fund 的quants research analyst.
主要做trading strategy 的research 和 backtest.
学术背景是Ph.d(machine learning 方向),有一两篇会议和期刊文章.国内P大,Ph.d学
校一般,工程和计算机方向勉强还算过得去.有个CFA的证书. 现在年龄大概34岁左右.
因为个人原因,想找国内或者香港的职位,我这种情况大家能帮着推荐一些好的
headhunter吗? 最好能比较nice一些的, 心理承受能力比较差,呵呵. 如果大家有什么关于职业发展的建议,请不吝赐教

If you are a rare talent in the market or you have several pending offers,
they will really make efforts to accommodate your needs. They tend to think
working with you can help them make a good deal with the employer faster.
On the other hand, I think you know it, Headhunters never work for
candidates. Instead, they are hired by your prospective employer, so in
principle, they are helping the employers, not candidates. |

就没声音了，所以不用太介意。我觉得对于ccie+phd这样一个背景来说，你应该考虑好
找什么样的工作，然后相应的包装简历，做到重点突出。如果你的英语好，我觉得工作
机会很多。 有ccie的在telecom的marketing，service等领域挺吃香的，比phd受尊敬
多了，但是你的phd就算是白读了。 另外今年经济不好，很多公司可能招人很谨慎，这
可能
是你觉得反应不够热烈的一个原因。另一个原因我觉得很可能是简历包装的问题，也就是你重点想找什么样的工作的问题。 |
