本周日（12/7）海边hiking计划——Temescal Canyon to Will Rogers Park
做了大半天的research，终于选出来一条比较符合大家期望的trail。时间初步定在本周日（12/7）。
1、Trail简介：
为了确保能看到很好的风景和眺望海边，这条trail大部分路途会在山脊上走，部分地区有树荫遮蔽，部分地区可能晒一些，这是没办法的选择，无法两全了。
Distance: 11.4 miles
Elevation Gain: 1500 ft
Hike Time: 6 hours
Difficulty: Moderate

BBQ+FISHING主要是考虑到万一人多了，可以让一部分带孩子的妈妈，还有不喜欢

谢谢XIAOCHUANG姑娘，谢谢你百忙中和公园联系！
既然不能BBQ， 估计就是两组：
HIKING 1组 两圈，呵呵
HIKING 2组， 一圈后+ FISHING+吃鱼（XIAOCHUANG的建议）+ 闲聊
然后两组汇合吃饭。
这个地方鹤汀凫渚，环境清幽,有很多的野生水鸟可以看，绝对没有老虎，呵呵。有老虎还能让人HIKING， 而且老虎的生活半径早到VA了，这些家伙欺骗HONEY姐姐不看动物世界的，呵呵。
意境好吧。离MD， VA， DC的各个据点都很近，所以是个大家新老朋友交流的好机会。而且地势平缓，妈妈们带着宝宝走1/4半圈然后回去聊天钓鱼打牌的估计问题不大，王兄到时候拿着猎枪保卫大家，呵呵。可能这里有持枪证的不多，王兄给自己个理由带枪出来打猎而已，因为这个地方可以打猎骑马的 。
吃饭大家什么看法呢，我们最好周日前就定下来，这样下周就不折腾了。 |

上次走 rim-to-rim 已经是5年前的事了，想想还是我的第一个 full-day hike。
上星期旧地重游，才发现原来 South Kaibab 比 North Kaibab 和 Bright Angel
加起来还要美10倍。当然也是wide flower和天气比较配合。
总之是强烈推荐。

Lincoln NH. It was all sunny and nice all the way from Boston, but by the time
we hit the trail head, guess what, it started to SNOW. Felt like rain but more
solid than not, we were surprised by the early sign of winter. We did go on
our hiking trip as planned, and saw the forliage the first half of the trip,

It is not an easy hike, and there are massive amount of snow. Snowshoes are
a must. And the 6+ hours book time makes the schedule very tight. It would
take about 3 hours to drive to the trail head. So if we start hiking at 10AM
, we will get just about 6.5 hours of day time.

Where: Mt. Jefferson, NH
The third highest mountain in the Northeast.
The easiest way is to go up the Jewell Trail, from the Base Station, to the
Gulfside Trail to Jefferson [rt: 11.0 miles, 4,150 feet, 7:35]. It is
nowhere very steep or rough, but is exposed to the weather for a long time.
We will leave Boston at 6:45AM.
Car pool fee: $20/person
Microspikes are needed (crampon?) along with other winter gears.

This is the second highest peak in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and
the one with the greatest elevation gain by any of the standard routes. We

physically hike the whole trail, and walk around the lake (0.8 miles) and
wait for us to come back and pick up you when we summit Mt. Cannon. There is

我只穿了件小背心，因为那几天特别热
这一场突然来的雨，让我搂着自己的胳膊继续前进
正后悔早上明明想带件外套来着的...
一个美国漂亮MM迎面走过，我机械式的微笑，说声“hi”
来美国这大概成了个习惯吧
她也习惯性地微笑着回了声hi
擦肩而过大概50米远了
突然听见身后似乎有人叫我，我回头
是那个美国MM追了上来，迷惑“what's up?”
她从包里拿出一件衣服给我......
一下子我惊讶得不知道说什么
直到她差不多转身要走，我才记得问怎么还给她？
她还是笑，说，不需要
后来同行的MM说我应该问她email地址
可是，我真的忘了

the most bueatiful spot in Rocky Mountain National Park. Round trip 10
miles, elevation gain 1600 feet to reach 10800 feet.
1. Meet at my place 8AM in Golden for carpool. Or meet around 9:45 at Beaver
Meadows Visitor Center in Estes Park. Bring National Parks annual pass if
you have.
2. Recommended gear:
Hiking or skiing poles. Hiking boots. Hat. Sunscreen. lunch and snack. Water
bag or 3 bottles of water. Camera.

发帖数: 742 | 47 人品不好，据说一年一次的bike racing就被我们今天碰到了。
Mt Evans 的路关闭直到下午一点。当下高速后被前面车里的人
告知的时候，感觉一个大棒子砸了过来，马上晕了，昨晚上网
查了天气等乱78糟，就没看到这个消息。
结果不能走预定的路线，只好走了原来的option 1，就是
chicago lake trail ，就差一点点到summit lake 的时候，
乌云密布，电闪雷鸣，我们只好马上返回了。那个郁闷阿。
应该走了8mile 左右，按某些同学的说法--2000ft
唯一的好处是为此省了$10/vehicle.
另外感慨一下，今天的队伍真庞大阿，23人。
还要表扬一下skier, 虽然只潜水，从不冒泡泡，
但是打印了非常详细的trail彩色路线图和介绍。
因为hiking虽然是一堆人一起的，但什么情况
都可能发生，自己能有各方面的准备比只是follow
他人要安全和有意思的多。
除了我的偶像MM以外，又发现了几个hiking
潜力MM，甚感欣慰。

那个的一个回帖。有朋友看了建议说不如单独发一个帖，需要的朋友会更容易看到。
是出不来的了 - 将来也不定出不出得来。先给你简单介绍一点吧，只谈Boulder，只说
hiking，顺便也算是给我一些不常过来的朋友们介绍一下Boulder。
，经过山脚跨溪而建还有点特色的图书馆，再绕过热闹的老市中心，贴着CU的校区穿过
整个小城，一路的内容很丰富，颇有点人文味道。对Boulder小城感兴趣的话可以在这
儿静心走走，清晨和傍晚尤其
旁边的山里。
中有些野trail可以到class 2+的难度，当然你甚至可以直接去爬那几座过百米的巨大

不多Eldora Canyon，有过十迈的长度。从NCAR那边出发有好几条（NCAR本身也可以参

是出不来的了 - 将来也不定出不出得来。先给你简单介绍一点吧，只谈Boulder，只说
hiking，顺便也算是给我一些不常过来的朋友们介绍一下Boulder。
，经过山脚跨溪而建还有点特色的图书馆，再绕过热闹的老市中心，贴着CU的校区穿过
整个小城，一路的内容很丰富，颇有点人文味道。对Boulder小城感兴趣的话可以在这
儿静心走走，清晨和傍晚尤其不错。

中有些野trail可以到class 2+的难度，当然你甚至可以直接去爬那几座过百米的巨大
石壁，class 4 - 5+吧，那就不是hiking而是攀岩了。其中上#1和#2的那条trail维护
的很好，是一条很大众的trail，坡度对不爬山的人有一点点挑战，但是风景很好，
trail在两座巨崖间折仄上升，松林遮盖免了日晒之苦，背身回望就是平坦广阔的科州
高原，途中有好几处很好的观景点，顶部就更不用说，可以很清楚地看到远处整个
