拿CUSIP ＝12557WTC5来说吧， 是CIT 2012年8月15号到期的利息率为7.6%的senior
unsecured bond, 到bond mature的那一天， 如果CIT不破产的话， CIT必须支付给
bond持有人票面价格 (一般是1000元一张)加上最后一次的利息。 昨天， 这支bond卖
到了35c on a dollar左右， 就是 每张票面价值1000元的bond只要350块就可以买下来
，大家去算一算收益率大概是多少。
万一CIT宣布破产， 如果重组成功， 一般来说, 作为债权人的bond holder不会给 普
通股的持有人留一分钱， 因为普通股的持有人是公司的主人， 而破产后公司要对债权
人负责。 如果清盘，索赔的顺序一般为，government (assuming company owes tax)

ski holder没放下居然开车进车库，holder卡在车库门上折断，一声巨响砸在
天窗上，还好玻璃没坏，要不修全景天窗可得大放血几千大洋。
晚上郁闷了半天自己什么时候开始如此stupid，心情很差破天荒吃完饭早早上床睡了。
早上起来居然发现前所未有地精力充沛，看来以后还是得早起早睡。
原来的ski holder是在网上florida的一个dealer买的，receipt也没保存，
这周末还要滑雪，网上order等不及只能在local了。
早上打电话到贝勒府BMW要求能不能order一个holder replacement（共俩个），
被告知电脑不许。parts department的人很nice，大概问了下情况，
被告之因为车还在warranty，所有的BMW genuine accessary都会cover，还抱歉说
BMW should make their accessary stronger。心中暗想可别，要是再stronger，
那我就得换车库门了，呵呵。

that a J visa holder is an exempt individual (not exempt from tax, but days
he/she stays in the U.S. are exempt from the substantial presence test). So
of course a J2 visa holder can only file tax return as nonresident alien (at
least in the first three years, 3-year rule for J visa holders is another
topic). F, M and Q visa holders are also subject to this exemption rule;
however, B visa holders are not.

her visa status beyond the 6-year limit:
1. If the H-1B holder has filed either a Labor Certification application or
an I-140 petition 365 days before reaching the six-year limitation AND the
LC or I-140 has not been denied, the H-1B visa holder may extend his or her
status on an annual basis beyond the six-year limitation. There is no upper

拿了绿卡有什么好处？有了绿卡可以不必为签证而烦恼，回国比较方便，此外找工作时
可以少些限制，这可能是当初自己所能想到的好处了，而一旦递交绿卡申请，原来的签
证就不能用了，要申请EAD，免税从此就没有了，实际收入马上明显减少了。

As a general rule, an alien who has filed for Adjustment of Status in the US
must apply for Advance Parole and use the Advance Parole to come back to
the US in order to keep his / her Adjustment of Status application.
Conversely, travels without Advanced Parole will cause USCIS to consider the
pending Adjustment of Status application to be abandoned, even if the alien

去年年底，我带儿子回国时，在tucson机场被AA拒绝登机。AA的station manager认为
中国旅行证不是有效证件，要求儿子申请中国签证。我打电话给中国驻LA领事馆请求帮
助，领事馆的工作人员与AA station manager沟通无效，并与我确认儿子不符合中国签
证的条件。最终我放弃AA机票，另买华航的机票当天晚些时候回国。之后在台北转机，
到达北京的时间比原定时间晚了十几个小时，导致订好的国内机票作废。回到美国后我
向AA customer relations投诉，并提交了以下证据：
