Dr. Hua is great. El Camino Hospital is okay; but you may share room with
others. Also, whoever is the on duty doctor will help you deliver the baby,
not necessarily Dr. Hua. |

我只去过Stanford 的ER.那里是teaching hospital ER也是先看resident 然后
attending doctor才来。 觉得挺耽误事情的。resident还差点给上了不应该用的药。
resident 说做ultrasound, 后来attending doctor 来说不用。 然后也没有告诉nurse
，让我们白白在ER床上多呆了2个多小时。自己其实离的近的ER是 EL Camino 或是
Good Samaritan. 有没有去过这两家医院的ER的，怎么样呀？ |

especially you are high risk pregnancy. but you have to tolerate her long
waiting time during each visit because she is very popular and has lots of
pts.
dr. bobo at texas children is very experienced too but she does not see high
risk patients.
I had positive experience at texas children and I like the facility.
Resident is not a big deal to me, only one resident and she was pretty good.

think are pretty strong. Above all, St Jude is in very very good financial
situation. The cash reserve for average hospital in US can keep the hospital
operating for 7-10 days (worst case, without any revenue, income etc). For
St Jude, it's almost half year.
But again, you will have to decide whether you like the city of memphis or
not. |

specimens in pathology department and busy service. The program director is
a very nice lady and the associate program director is a Ph.D. who runs
microbiology lab. The interview started with PD's short introduction about
herself and her stories, such as where did she recieve her training, etc.
Then every candidate was required to stand up and introduce him/herself. Be
sure you prepare a concise but interesting speech. |

去年Hartford Hospital 算是社区医院, 他们的病理科是由一个Private group 包下来
的, 他们也承担训练住院医的任务. 有自己的FELLOWSHIP, 好象是血液病理. 去年
我去面试的时候, 他们医院正在和U. CONN 接洽关于做U CONN 医学院教学医院的的事
宜, 不知道成功没有. 如果有戏, 估计他们会大张旗鼓的宣传. 我没有时间去查, 请今
年要去的同学自己留意一下. 他们一年外科病理标本量3万多, 出报告的时候不分专科.
我接触过的ATENDING和他们的PD 都是很认真对待教学. 住院医也都很开心, 积极. 住
院医以后去做FELLOWSHIP的地方都不错. 他们不参加MATCH. 去年是招3个, 给PRE-
MATCH. 只有J1签证. 其他方面的信息在网上都能查到.

would imagine.
i don't think doing observations should be a problem, they understand you
need to have experience for your decision, and you can be very honest and
open about this, no point to hide.
but applying two different specialty residency programs in one hospital is a
different story, it almost always has negative impact.

fit他们的program。可今天见了另一个faculty，又说不用PhD老板的推荐信会让人觉得
奇怪，虽然她也觉得community hospital可能会觉得我overqualify，怎么办呢？
我因为受地理位置所限，prelim肯定要以community hospital为主，当地就两所大学，
都巨牛无比，而且好像只有一个有prelim：（ 烦啊烦.....

now or if you are applying for IM. It is in some rural area, can be reached
by new jersey transit. Then you have take about 10 min taxi if you choose
not to drive by your own. At that time, it was predominantly Indian
dominated. They invited 10-15 people. Their program is mainly primary track,
do have some relationship with Mount Sinai hospital in New York. Some of

minute of it, well, maybe except when I have to fill out some dumb paperwork
, which is the bane of my existence as a junior resident after all. The
patients are poor and most of them have no insurance. And apparently most of
them don't know how to take care of themselves. But they are so easy to
deal with and so appreciative of what you do to them. They are the polar

diabetic osteomyelitis cases that the patients are at their 30-50s, and don'
t care about amputation of toes/foot; three factitious disease pt, one of
