1) Environments first:
Host --- Windows 7 Professional
Guest --- Ubuntu 11.04
one 2T external hard drive, now formatted in EXT4.
2) Phenomenons:
a) Without launching VirtualBox (Guest Ubuntu), I can see the contents in my
EXT4 external hard drive, using a Windows tool named Ext2Fsd .
b) After launching VirtualBox (Guest Ubuntu), I can only see the contents in
my EXT4 external hard drive under Ubuntu.

一次付了几年的年费，所以就没换。后来没时间也没管。现在想把网站
换个安全便宜的hosting，一点点重新建起来，存粹自己折腾着玩的.
现在有没有什么推荐的hosting? |

发帖数: 381 | 8 做了好几年的工作，virus infection and host immune system的领域，攒出来一大堆
date，故事也说圆了，老板也认为不错，觉得我得工作是目前关于这个问题最完整最有说服力的研究工作，可惜老板一直觉得新意不够。
刚投了immunity，审稿一个月后，一个reviewer说很好没有任何意见，另一个说没有新意，结果editor以”没有新意“为由给毫不留情的据了。
和老板商量了准备换个杂志投，老板还是觉得novelty是个问题，不反对试别的好杂志但他个人建议赶快投个容易接受的杂志。可是俺实在不忍心看着这么多工作好几年的心血就去投个小
杂志。所以还想试试好一点的杂志，找了找，觉得cell host and microbe 和 PloS
Biology从IF上看都还很不错的。不过不知道这两个杂志是不是都很难投啊？有知道的
大侠给说说吧？例如是不是对novelty要求很高？
另外，如果immunity据了以后，投同是cell press的cell host and microbe 杂志，
editor是不是会知道原来投immunity被据的事？那是不是会很吃亏啊？

制很多，每一个正常的小功能都要单独收费。这也就罢了，投了几个月adword广告之后
发现在google根本无法得到展示，bid的价格都是有效的，就是没有用，甭说点击率，
连展示都是个位数。用自己设定的关键词去搜，根本看不到。
昨天搜索ipage 的review，发现这家就是scammer。
大家给出出主意，我现在有什么办法？换到哪里去？ |

Do you build your reserach lab website in university, or have you considered
hosting service outside the university?
It is difficult to deal with the IT folks in university - too much
restrictions. I heard that a concern about getting a hosting service outside
is that some IPs or websites might be blocked by China. Is that right?
I'll appreciate any comments or suggestions.

然后google的hiring process就shock我了。总之，就是进度很慢。面后，7天，我问hr
，才说是好消息。
HR match组就搞了8天，然后，上周1面的，感觉面得还可以，没技术问题，然后就一个
星期又1天过了，没消息。
上周5问了下，发不发offer，HR说，她也在等。

组可能是你不感兴趣的组。
另外不同地方不一样，很多地方坑少，所以可能满得就快
Host matching内容完全看host，我知道有人继续被算法考的，也有只谈项目的。 |

已经找到了，马上安排，过了一会又告诉我就明天host interview，太突然了啊！！！
在Linked上看了下host的情况，还是个俄罗斯人，搞data mining方向的，倒是挺match
的，但是太突然了，完全来不及准备啊。而且这哥们对编译器也感兴趣，我简历上有个
本科的编译器项目，但是细节完全记不起来了。。。
安排的interview只有半个小时，而且这次连google doc都没安排，有经验的前辈说说
都会聊点啥呀。。。其时我情愿在google doc上面写算法题。。。
虽然我没有包子，但是还是求大家bless，好紧张啊。。。 |

before entering host matching stage.
For full-time candidates fresh from college, you will get an offer. The team

另外如果认识内部的人知道哪个组有背景匹配的intern openning，也建议努力一下。
个人感觉这个过程人为因素比较大，一方面等hr push candidates给hosts们，一方面
等hosts们自己到pool里找。 |

我同学目前正在找实习，目前已经通过了G的前两轮面试，面试一个小时后被通知进入
了host match pool。他希望能够借助这个平台，让有看到这个帖子在google的前辈给
他一个host interview.
等他把internship的事情定下来，一定好好整理一下找实习的经过回馈给版上有需求的

十分庆幸遇到两位国人面试官，并且都给了正面的评价，在此表示深深的感谢。找
intern以来，遇到多个老印，无论答得好坏，最后都悲剧的体无完肤。在这场没有硝烟
