house，15%买appt，PHD买不起house才丢脸呢，因为相对于他们的收入来说本来就不贵。
另一方面，大多数从美国回去的海归也就是攒够了买一appt的钱就回去了，没几个要攒
够买house
的钱才海归的吧。这些北美phd海归在国内住house的又有几个？让他们来说说？
所以这完全是物价房价的差异导致的，根本不代表在美国住house的人自己有多高贵。
要是米国海归用在国内的收入也买的起奔驰和house，我就服了他/她！ |

，离想象中的差的不是一点半点。
米国的豪宅咱不说，大部分中国人也买不起。就是普通的HOUSE（中国人估计最讲究学
区，为了孩子），我看也就那样。买了HOUSE，每个月都得付这个费，那个税。还要割
草等等。想想大部分中产阶级上个班都累的要死，周末还要当农民，真费劲。这次飓风
，一些城市被淹，我看到一些HOUSE，平时看的蛮整齐漂亮的，被水一淹，就成了难民
房一样，这种HOUSE，送给我都不要。
而中国的公寓，税都是购房时一次付清，不用每个月付什么财产税了。小区的公共绿地
想去散步就去散步，也不用你定时区割草。独立的小区，门口有保安，每栋楼一楼门口
都是可视系统，看到认识的才开门。现在都是小高层，从高处望远，感觉好的很。也不
用考虑地势低被水淹啥的。
国内的程式化进程日益提高，许多地方都有大都市化的感觉，出门购物都很方便，哪像
美国，一些如亚特兰大这些所谓的城市都跟中国的农村差不多，更不要说多的不计其数
的鸟不拉屎的小镇了。（本人现在就在这样一个小镇，简直就跟坐牢差不多）

后来发现是早上从一楼捅下去的clog又堵在了house trap的U型的最底部，因为house
trap的盖子是松的，所以水从这里冒出来。
现在疏通一番后又可以使用了。问题是house trap的两个盖子都不是拧上去的，而且看
上去也不是可以拧的盖子，是两个像杯子一样的东西倒扣在house trap的出口上。因为
都没有密封，当U型管底部堵住以后，楼上流下来的水就冒出来。很怕还会出现同样的
问题，我是不是需要找专业人士来换掉这个house trap？起码也要加个盖子，这样至少
堵了以后不会从地下室漏水。 |

而更关键的是美国人有更多机会通过媒体了解3012的内容。平均来讲美国人是不太支持
的，nytimes报道3012过House之后trackitt马上就有烙印出来说，要尽力避免major
media报道这个法案，这会引起美国人的主意而引起反对。
另外Grassley的目的是往bill里加H1B reform的内容。一旦成功，这会导致即使过了
Senate也要跟House重新商量解决difference。这个事情是需要House领袖Eric Cantor
来组织的。但在3012 House投票那天，Cantor出现在了投票场，却对3012弃权没有投票
。由此看Cantor对于3012的态度很模糊，至少是没有明确支持。真到两院解决bill分歧
的时候，不知道Cantor会扮演什么角色。
感觉House过bill很容易，让人民有种自己被重视的民主感觉。而Senate才是头头脑脑

最终成交预算在90-95W之间。
目前租住在Foster City, 家里工作的人上班地点在92号公路的San Mateo 大桥边上，
离目前住的地方开车最多十分钟。
看房最初划定了半岛，结果发现半岛只有foster city和redwood shore的town house是
预算范围以内的。其他基本都超出预算了。最终圈定foster city 里面避开飞机航线的
区域，排除redwood shore的原因是为了老人考虑，foster city对于不会讲英文的父母
以后来美，不论短住还是住半年，都比较好。
一部分朋友和我说一步搞定，一定要买single family house，于是“东湾”这两个字
在脑子里蹦了出来。听朋友的信息，找到一个叫Ardenwood 的区域，redfin上找到个合
适的open house就去看了。从880下去后就进入那片社区，感觉比较整齐，看的open
house 是接近2000尺，3/2.5，开价80万不到。算正气的房子，采光透亮、院子不大也

我跟老公不知道第一次买房子是先买个小的过度(condo或者townhouse)，还是直接一步
到位买个house。
先买condo的好处：
第一个房子没经验，买个小condo万一有问题损失不是很大。
先买个房子住住，以后换房子就知道自己要什么了。
condo比较便宜，月供压力小
先买condo的不好：
以后有了孩子或者父母探亲估计要搬家……各种麻烦
condo貌似升值没有house快？
condo每月还要交hoa～有点亏
直接买个house的好处：
免了买卖房子和搬家的麻烦和各种fee
大房子住得开心？
增值空间大？
直接买个house的不好：
万一发现有不喜欢的地方，换房子cost太大了
湾区house很贵，月供压力大
除草维修等等工作量大

quad can only come from a pair that you don't hold that card. so you use
that pair plus another set to create your full house (or if there're two

的毕业去law firm出入太大，心里没底。特来请有经验的律师们给点意见。谢谢先！
进 in house 会不会把以后的路走窄了？新手在in house工作会不会积累经验不够多不
够快（因为不是完全focus在law上）？进in house是不是也没什么机会积累客户？另外
，将来有可能从一个company的legal dept 到另外一个company的 legal dept吗？有优势
吗？我听说in house都喜欢从firm招fresh blood，所以万一哪天公司倒闭了我还有去
处吗？据说做in house也很难再去firm？

这次计划要建的low income housing for homeless and veteren有169个单位，其中
109个g给homeless, 60个给veteran, 包括9个给有前科的老兵。项目将会在华人最多的
圣盖博(San Gabriel close to temple city），毗邻居民区和学校，规模比临近的同
类型housing都大的多。funding来自上次选举通过的mesaure M （就是增加sales tax
去给homeless建房）。
这次计划的选址很值得深思，是不是知道华人不关心政治，想神不知鬼不觉的蒙混过关
