最关键的是，这个bill释放了一个信号：House在非移问题上开始变得异常强硬。有很

发现apartment基本都包暖气和热水.house里面的一层那种都不包,有gas heat和oil
heat.
现在有几个房子难以抉择. 请大家帮忙指教一下.
如果apartment$1600包热水暖气,
和house$1400什么也不包(gas heat),
另外一个house$1300(oil heat).这三个中间选择的话选哪一个呢?
要最便宜的就好了,因为条件都差不多.
house虽然月房租低,但是如果heat很费钱,算起来和apartment一样的话,就租apt了.
刚来Boston不太懂,到底这个heat和hot water一年大概多少钱呢,我平均到12个月算一

在认真学习了本版的精华区之后，我决定不远万里，去四川house for Saturday dinner.
去了之后我才发现，k! 比lucky难找多了，七里八拐的。好不容易到了，一进门，就一巨
恶俗的装饰，和我从前那乡下的buffet没啥区别。坐下来后，经理居然亲自来给我们点菜
！一没有洗漱妥当的台湾女人，“口齿不清”(其实还好啦，就是我讨厌台湾腔）的一问
三不知。不知道自己有什么特色菜，说要问问厨房今天有什么东西。搞了半天，我们点了
最著名的“麻婆豆腐”（精华区推荐这道菜，台湾女人也说他们的麻婆豆腐“闻名海外”
），炒牛柳，四川凉面。
我能说的就是：你们以后可以不用考虑去四川house了。他们的菜，实在没有去吃的必要

发帖数: 51 | 40 朋友家住在fremont，Ardenwood那块，single family house。昨天去他们家玩，车就
停在他们家house前的street上。
结果晚上吃完饭出来发现车竟然被拖走了。原来他们这条街门前是不让street parking
的，朋友们和我们好久没见面，一见面大家都很兴奋，他们忘了告诉我们，我们呢，也
忘了问他们了。
问题是他们house前的那条街上只有一个no stopping anytime的标记，没有no
parking，没有关于tow away的任何标记，跟别提去哪里找拖车公司的电话了。后来网
上查了一下，说要打电话给警察局，警察局会告诉你拖车公司的地址电话啥的。结果呢
，fremont警察局周末都关门，根本找不到人，看来只有等到周一了。气愤的是这种情
况，就算不能停车，难道不应该就给个ticket，怎么能直接把车拖走呢？没有任何tow
zone的标志啊。在没想到在residential area (single family house)前也会被拖车啊
，真是过分，感觉是加州的警察局和拖车公司都勾结一起抢钱了哈。不知道拖车可不可

因为公司的政策规定，报销的temp housing的费用需要有收据，也不能用于抵扣long-
term housing的租金。所以我估计是需要找那种furnished的short-term lease.公司举
了两个例子比如hotel或者air bnb那种都可以。
我想找的short-term housing的理想位置在mountain view，最远不超过Palo Alto或者
Sunnyvale. 最好是在Cherry Chase Elementary School或者Herbert Hoover
Elementary School的学区范围里。而且希望是2 bedroom或者以上。

All contingencies have been removed by now, and escrow will close in three
weeks. The house is of one-floor, but there is a finished studio of 250 sqft
on the second floor of the garage (with a closet, no bath, but permitted).
The studio can serve as a nice study, but can only be accessed from the
backyard, not from the inside of the house.

t know this issue before, because it seemed such a classical issue. For next
house, I will pay more attention to the house built prior to 1996 years...
Assuming all the conditions are same and same maintenance, it seems that
houses before 1970 and houses after 2002 are good...Just my guess... |
