Give it a few minutes before you scrap the windshield. It'll be much easier
. Another thing you can try is to spray de-icing solution on the windshield
. Didn't buy de-icing solution in advance? Make a mixture of half water and
half vinegar.
If nothing works, go home and enjoy a good time off. Life is short, have
fun!

Second, ice-free doesn't mean as warm as florida.
Third, there are places with similar latitude as Michigan being ice-free in
spring. |

Mt hood meadows has great program for weekly kids ski lessons call
snowblaster. They group kids with similar age and ski level in the same
group and same coach for a month. Kids love it. |

Sharks Ice San Jose, it is a bit smaller and less crowded. The latter has 4
rinks but usually only one of them is used for public skating. |

凌。那时候，我们都还比较清闲。中午有时候就相约到哪里抡几下拍子。打完球可以到
冰场里吃冰激凌或者到饱肚脐吃chicken caesar wrap，喝北冰洋橘子汽水。那汽水的
味道可以一下子把你带到30年前的北京。
忽然就过了这些年。中午打网球已经不敢奢求了。女儿也到了可以滑冰的年纪。家门口
的cabin john ice rink自然成了首选。离家近嘛。
这个冰场实际上有3块冰场。两块大的。一块叫NHL，自然是冰球场。另一块叫OLY，应
该是奥林匹克吧。在OLY上方有彩灯，晚场的时候红的蓝的，星星点点。
那块小冰场是块练习场。不知道有没有正式的名字。每周六早上的几节kid skating课
就是在这块场地上教的。它在NHL的后面，如果不绕过NHL，你根本不会注意到它。从门
口到这里要走100多米。穿上冰鞋再走。这段距离就会显得格外的长。上次，因为我们
去晚了，大家就看见一个大壮抱着一个小女孩在NHL冰场边翻蹄亮掌。

昨天临时决定的去钓鱼。buddy么当然都有事，刚好bass本来问我这个周末去不去钓鱼
，一问他周四早上有事，下午有空，现在这天气钓个下午够了。就出发了。昨天整船换
机油啥的弄到很晚。今天一到水面一切顺利，但是1分钟后发动机给我看脸色，自己熄

格不一样。后来发现cal也不一样。grande的iced coffee热量是90-120，fresh brewed

冰镐是snow/Ice climbing里面最重要的工具．登雪山／攀冰的很多技术都离不开冰镐
．在雪山上， 你可以没有crampons,但是不能没有冰镐,你的生命完全依赖于这个小小
的工具．冰镐都能做什么用呢？
1.self-arrest(在雪坡上滑坠的时候能让自己停住）
2.climbing （辅助攀爬）
3.digging(挖坑?) and chopping （不是劈柴的，是用来清除冰雪）
4.cane (代替trekking poles）
5.anchor (可以当anchor用）
6.probe (在冰川上探测雪下面的冰缝）
7.weapon (这个怎么用不用我说了吧？）
冰镐的各部分名称及用途．借用一下wiki的图：
1. Pick, pick是冰镐头上比较窄，长的部分．pick的作用就是能够插到雪或者冰里．
self arrest以及用冰镐辅助攀爬,用的就是这部分．有两种pick, classsic 和
aggressive pick,classic pick形状像下弯（和图中的一样），更适合一般硬度的冰雪

fortunate to get a taste of ice in the frigid Columbia Rive gorge
yesterday. First stop at the Crown Jewel, a 2P WI3+/4. Had to wait for an
hour in the bitching cold since two parties were up there. One of them
kept knocking down ice chunks the size of baseball. Then continued heading
east and found a short chandelier route, WI5ish, don't know the name. It
was fun but too short. Final stop at a much bigger fall where Peter has
