Jack Blushi”的用户忽然跑路了。上星期，“Blushi”在留言处对Song和Verdu展开各
种人身攻击，而就在前两日，此人将之前的留言删除的一干二净，夹着尾巴逃跑了。此
人显然未用实名，真实身份还不可知，但从其发言的语气可见应该是Cuff和Im的同党。
而此人的pattern又和Im如出一轍。据同系同学透露，Im之前曾在社交网络上大肆发表
污蔑Verdu的话，而也是在前几天偷偷地删掉了。（似乎此女很擅长删东西）当然这也
只是凭空猜测。又有熟悉Im写作风格的人士透露，这英文不像是她写的。因为之前Im在
自己社交网站上发的贴，英文实在是，基本没有一句是通顺的，更像是自己用google
translate 翻译出来的。而之前她在校报上发表的长篇大论据信息论圈内人士透露，完
全符合Cuff的写作风格。真是扑朔迷离。当然也可能是信息论圈子里一些图谋不轨的人

互联网已经发展多年，其中不乏脱颖而出者，这些网站多数都已存在了接近10年或10
年以上，在如此长时间的发展过程中，除了业务上面临的挑战，在技术上也面临了很多
的挑战。我挑选了一些Alexa排名较前的网站(排名截止到2012年4月21 日)，看看它们
在技术上是如何应对业务发展过程中的挑战的。
Google 目前Alexa排名第1。它诞生于1997年，当时是一个研究性项目，每个月
build一次索引，build出来的索引通过sharding(shard by doc)的方式分散到多台服务
器(Index Server)上，具体的网页数据同样通过sharding的方式分散到多台服务器(Doc
Server)上，当用户提交请求时，通过前端的一台服务器将请求提交给Index Server获
得打了分的倒排索引，然后从Doc Server提取具体的网页信息(例如网页标题、搜索关
键词匹配的片段信息等)，最终展现给用户。

哥们儿，碰巧他老人家是Trap的超高手。
几个月前聚会，版主带我和一众兄弟去俱乐部打Trap，那是我第一次摸Shotgun，用的
就是版主的同一款，感觉超好。所以这毒就种上了，决定照方抓药，搞一个差不多的。
我这人懒，如果有巨人，我一般都会第一时间爬上他肩膀，能省点力气就省点力气。
几个月来版大一直替我在gunbroker上面盯着，有了差不多的枪和价格就会通知我，前
前后后大概帮我看了十把枪，都是同一款，就是有的没有可调的腮托。因为版大对这个
枪浸润多年，所以他把我可以拿下的价格上限也告诉我，超过了就不是好Deal，放过。
其实我就是一木偶，用我的用户名Bid而已。这样吧，我把当时版大给我的信稍微裁剪
一下，贴在这里，作为一个Guideline吧，我估计版大不会怪我，呵呵，就算怪我他也
不敢咬我。
信里面有每把枪的连接和版大建议的价格，虽然枪都已经卖出去了，但是可以看到成交

解决办法是IM。free/back为主项，也要练IM。几组free/back之后，来一组蛙/蝶很有
好处。free的技术定型和动作完善之前，IM的速度经常会超过free only。在free的速
度超过IM之后，继续练back，争取做到和IM速度差不多，然后再去练free，back…… |

念太先进了。让人不得不佩服回归简单的美。微软在颤抖，QQ在害怕，Yahoo干脆就晕过
去了。Skype以为google会考虑收购它，看到它强大的beta版就已经具备如此优秀的话音
效果，它不晕才怪呢？毕竟未来的大市场，google进入的市场太快了。
Google Talk，目前最好的IM软件
google talk beta版本正式推出，划时代的IM产品。真正将Im和email以及搜索结合起来
的产品。
我们先说msn和qq的问题。
当你有300个以上的联系人的时候，要找一个朋友要费5分钟的时间，甚至可能压根就找不
到，因为他改名字了。
如果你同时跟5个人聊天，就会弹出5个不同的聊天窗口，你可能把给甲的话输入到乙的对
话框中。
你的聊天的朋友给你发邮件，发到hotmail中，你又不去收信，而且根本对不上人。
2个月不聊天的朋友，你根本不知道他是否还认得你。Google Talk一出，这些问题全部迎
刃而解。

Mitbbs网友愿意支持，我想有几十个支持就很好了）。计划明天伦敦工作日内发出。
抗议信也吸收了许多许多支持者的建议，尽量避免情绪化。但是我们还是不会拘泥于文章

认真看了一下今年prematch的名单以及目前正在征集的IV list，感觉拿到prematch的
人大多数都是IM的（病理除外），好像没什么人申请FM (不过所收集到的数据不全，说
错了请拍砖），prematch里边好像压根没有看到FM的啊。是大家都不喜欢FM么？因为我
同时在跟FM和IM医生做OB，我觉得IM这个医生基本没有什么自己的生活，同时做病房，
门诊，急诊。。。一天只吃一顿饭的说，而FM的这个医生生活特滋润，还管着我们这里
最大的一个church，而且如果想做primary patient care的感觉还是FM好，IM有自己的
局限。当然IM能做专科，发展比较好，钱也比较多的说。不过我比较喜欢FM，今年看到
拿FM人特少，是FM难起来了吗？还是大家都不喜欢呢？

yes, EAD or OPT (good for 1yr) 都能用, nobody cares, esp community programs
no， 有的pg filter ‘visa requirement’, EAD 在ERAS里面算visa的一种，虽然
techanically not,但是大部分community IM都没有这个毛病。不过现在sponsor H1的
pg 越来越少了。
我知道今年sponsor H1 的有
Griffin Hospital, IM, CT
Good samaritan Hospital, IM, MD
Huron, IM, OH
Jacobi, IM, NY
Wash U, Path, MO
可能很多扭要地区的pg都sponsor，只是听说

我现在不是很确定infectious disease和IM的关系。
是不是做完IM的住院以后才可以正真的去申请infectious disease的专科？还是
infectious disease就是一个独立的住院的program， 和IM并列的？
现在做的是infectious disease相关的研究，可不可能在PS里面说感兴趣，然后菜肴申
请IM啊？

因为不知道到底有多少USIMG申请人，如果刨开这部分USIMG也许FMG的match率可以达到
30%

就顺便多说几句吧。
Columbia only has one spot.
Mt Sinai has the best allergy fellowship program in NY. Mt Sinai only has 3
spots this year for either IM or Peds applicants.
Montefiore has two spots for Peds side applicants this year.
Suny Downstate has two spots for IM applicants, 2 for Peds applicants.
LIJ/North Shore has 3 spots for both IM and Peds.
Winthrop Univ has one spot.
Univ at Buffalo has 1 spot for IM, 1 spot for Peds.

最近忙着搬家，估计搬好了也一时半会没网络，
先写个纽约租房子的简易版心得：
1.首先要想明白，租房的需要。单身汗还是家有父母小孩，空间大小，neightbourhood
需求是完全不同的。然后上班的远近？交通的方便安全？etc。
2.先在网上看好几个地方。也可以找broker（收费15% 1 year rental或者一个月房租
），事先与他交流，一来二去的邮件，他能更明白你想要的。broker是地头蛇，他带你
看一天，可以获得很多很多信息。及时最后没成交，也算是交个朋友。
3.向总住院当面询问租住房信息。人家很忙，邮件是不回的，趁去医院的时候，逮着机
会赶紧问。他几句话，可以省下很多功夫上网research。
4.纽约租房 background check相当严格，提前带齐所需材料（问broker需要什么材料

communications. Score is valued very high in pathology. I heard that many
path programs prefer higher score CMG to low score AMG. I think many CMGs
really excel in pathology. I used to do one path ob in X state. Overally,
IMGs did better than AMGs.
On the other hand, CMGs are much less likely to do well in direct patient
care specialties like surgery, IM or FM. Communcations are not emphasized

的成熟，卖地一直是我的精神家园。今天也来说两句经验教训，算是了尽微薄之力。
毕业7年，因为宝宝小，八月三十号还在做OB，弄到9月6日才提交申请。申请了IM, PMR
, 和Preliminary surgery, 总共拿到15个面试。 7个IM，2个prelim, 6个PMR。面了4
个IM, 2个Prelim, 2个PMR, 拿到2个IM prematch, 纠结之后接受了其中一个。
1. When you speak English, speak firmly!
自我感觉，无论走到哪里，英语基本都是那个最差的。不能跟印度, 伊朗，孟加拉比，
更不要说native speaker了。But be confident, and speak English firmly.

１）各个PGM里CMG的数量在下降。很多PGM，PGY３里还有CMG，２里就很少，１里更是
没有了。这样的PGM不是少数。趋势就是众多PGM越来越不愿意招收CMG。比如，德州某
医院过去每年招收CMG，从去年开始，因为某些原因拒绝所有CMG。与此成对比的是IMG
的PGM甚至得到了强化。很多老印PGM过去还招点其它国家毕业生点缀，现在已经是１０
０％老印了。
２）CMG能选择的专业越来越窄。早年还能有CMG进入较好的专业，比如麻醉等。现在IM
基本就是最好选择了。当然，这个也许对所有非AMG都一样。
３）关系的作用越来越大。关系的重要性大过一切。如果你的老板是有权势的MD，且和
你关系良好；那么你几乎成功大半了。分数，背景，绿卡都不那么重要了。查某些好的
PGM，清一色AMG之中居然有个CMG，前无古人，后无来者。不敢说１００％，９０％的
可能性都是关系。
