lz在今年10月，由于在纽约曼哈顿区过人行道时闯红灯被警察给了一张传单，之后到地
方法院上庭。结果是：没指纹，没照片，没被捕，没犯罪记录，但，有个“violation
”,阻挡交通，是去的New York Criminal Court， 当时出庭交了$50.
那么这种情况怎么算？如果是填yes，那在回国返签时应该提供什么相应材料，以及这
会不会影响到签证发放？

我自己称过，一个ipad的重量明明是2lb 8oz。 所以，4个ipad加package应该是10lbs多一点。但是我从apple.com找不到官方的weight. apple.com上面只找到裸机的重量：1.5 lbs。
求助，怎么才能找到official的apple ipad weight information? |

一直显示billing information是我以前用的一个地址，我已经搬家了，无论我把paypa
l里面所有地址都改成现在地址，paypal的shipping address也显示为当前地址，但是在
最终确认一步，billing信息一栏永远显示旧地址。
请问这个是什么原因？

般听说是三年review一次么？每年一次会不会压力很大？而且是第六年底开始评tenure
，也就是第七年才能拿到tenure么。
offer里面写了base salary，但是没有提到salary raise的问题，需要再跟chair讨论
一下吗？这个一般会写在offer letter里面吗？
offer里面写了会帮配偶找工作，应该就没什么问题了吧。
start-up package对我来说看起来很多了，还给了一些已经有的equipment，而且没有
时间限制，也没有说付几个月的summer salary，那是不是可以一般三个月的summer

Email谈可能对应聘者更有利些，比较清楚，也便于留下纪录，但时间可能会拖得长点。
招聘单位好像则更喜欢电话或面谈。 |

以前去过一个，一个小屋子挤满了人，对方系三四个老师根本应对不过来
你跟人谈，旁边三四个人就在那听着（他们也确实没别的事干），感觉很尴尬
整个气氛就是都在应付，我程序性的问了几个不痛不痒的问题，对方不痛不痒的回答了
感觉非常没效率，还不如在走道里碰到对方系的人随便聊几句，起码说话旁边没三四个
人听着
有人有类似经验分享吗？ |

我做了4年的DBA，可以教数据库。我上过SWE的课，也亲手写过production code，lead
过software project，可以教software engineering课。我旁听过我老板上的IR，还连
续两年被邀请做关于 web crawling的talk，教Information retrieval and search
engine也没有问题。我做过ML甚至DL的project，准备一下的话上ML或DM的课程也问题
不大。
算法，数据结构，操作系统我确实没有上过研究生课程（本科课程我上过，但是已经十
多年了），教起来可能有点费劲，但是准备一下还是可以的。我想也不是每一个CS的
PHD都能教吧。
我老板以前也是做光学的，他说学物理的人可以教很多CS的核心课程，只是开始需要点
时间熟悉准备一下。学化学的人就不同了。 |
