"I have to tell you my friend Debbie and I went to the Sox game today. I no
ticed it in the 5th inning and it just kept getting better and better. The
crowd was quiet and nervous at first but by the 9th, we were all up yelling.
I am sure you saw it on the news. It was fun."

interleague games. ARod and Bonds generally get rested after
the 7th or even the 6th inning in a slaughter, which is the best
time to accumulate some more hits. Yankees happen to have a lot of
such games. |

When the opponent's bullpen is exhausted, ARod generally rests in the
dugout. Also, the "league average" is just a joke. Other than the Prior-
KWood era and some second halves only of Astros pitching, throughout
the career of Pujols, hasn't NLC consistently been the worst pitching
divisions among the 6 divisions? Yes, Carpenter makes that division
look better, but Pujols never faces him.

young pitchers they came up with in recent years, Jaba, Hughs, Kennedy and
Wang. The other three all suffered overexposure to some extent, Wang the
severest. The management by now probably regret some of the decisions they
made. |

pressive, especially in the 7th inning. Phillies almost batted around at the
top of 7th, and Lee had no control to start the bottom. Threw 7 straight ba
lls I think. His ability to settle down with a fast runner on base is impres
sive.
This trade still needs to be judged long term. But it was a good start for L
ee, and for the Phillies. Dodgers and Phillies are clearly the two best team
s in NL. |
