There are exceptions, like 2004, Torre abused Mo for 3 innings.. |

team uses them given a lead. Besides, who are you gonna trust given a lead
to get 3 outs?
For home team, if you have a super strong setup man, you can leave him in,
perhaps for 2 innings. But since you won't have a lead to protect (if you
have a lead, you win!), you wanna use the best guys in your bullpen ASAP.
When it comes to playoff time, it is all about who does the manager trust in
a tie game situation. |

y will not win it. But he has been so consistent throughout the year. If it
were not for the great Mets pen, he would have close to 20 wins and Mets are
now in the playoffs.
In AL, I like what Roy Halladay more than Cliff Lee. Granted I have always l
iked Halladay so my opinion is biased. But I like the fact that he picked 20
more innings than Cliff Lee and has a lower WHIP and better K number...

than Halladay. Particularly, Lee relys more on infield defence,
yet Indians infield is average at best.
That 20ip includes those unnecessary innings. |
