几年别的,真是一点都记不得. 现在连大学学的微机分公式都要重背. 不然让人觉得你
PHD都有问题. 算法就别说了, 想问死你, 简单问题就够了.
可有时侯又不能不提, 一次INTERVIEW,和INTERVIEWER不小心说起ERP, 做过1个月,那个
INTERVIEWER说你怎么不写在简历里呢? 狗屁吗,真是不敢说, 真要问ERP |

coding test答案, phone screen, onsite interview. 想想自己也就是几个月前刚刚
经过了这个过程,只不过角色从那头变成了这头而已, 这种变化中有一些感受在过去自

我的group面试SDE采用coding test --> phone screen --> onsite这样的流程.
1. coding test: 很挑剔, 你的代码说明了一切
coding test是由hr随机挑选一些题库中的题目要求在指定时间内完成, 一般是两条题
目, 一条简单一条难.代码并不需要可以运行, 也不限制语言. 说实话, 在整个流程中
对coding test的评估是最挑剔的,虽然不要求可运行,但代码的可读性和风格绝对影响
评估的结果. 我们一般采用两人分别评估coding test,题目, 答案,评估都需要cc给自

interview in mind, these are useful for face-to-face interviewing as well.
Take 10-20 minutes to write out information on 3 or 4 accomplishments that
you are especially proud of. Interviews are inherently stressful, so when
asked about your background, it is easy to either go completely blank or
become flooded with thoughts. If you go through this exercise, you can
eliminate that problem.

two other people are going to interview me. But those two people report to
the position for which I applied.
Anybody had the same experience? Is this a serious interview? I guess it is
serious since the company pays the hotel and air ticket.

感谢很多朋友来信。鉴于大家都很关心Google Intern的过程，我来详细的说说吧。Google intern interview的过程好像和以前不太一样了，目前在发正式offer前，需要经历2轮电话interview，然后会进入一个candidate pool，由manager来挑选，这个过程叫host bidding.
1. 电话interview: 都是google的开发人员来面的，所以比MS的HR难。当然从另一个方面来说，因为开发人员更容易理解你的code，你更容易和他们沟通。每个人大约2道题。其中一个人两个都是算法。另一个就会问一道概念题（当然，是很多小概念），一道算法。面完后，他们把feedback发给HR，如果两个人对你的评价都是positive，那么恭喜，你进入candidate pool 了。一般这个要等待1天到几周不等。
2.我电面是用google doc, 每次写一点儿要保存，有些麻烦。尤其是你要加个外层循环，需要把每一行都缩进，很麻烦。我个人不建议先在IDE里写，因为这是个interactive |

什么interview。recruiter是印度口音，实在很难听清楚，我问了两遍还似懂非懂。

sets/size, algorithms, lib, etc), 10 mins for 2 technical questions, and
that's it. Totally less than 30 min for the interview. Is that a typical

2月份找工作以来有两个onsite 面试，都不幸了。
几个phone interview， 聊着聊着都感觉的我做的其实和他们差得很大，就都没有下文
了 可能另一方面是口语问题。
Onsite 1:
5月份突然接到一个email 一个沙特的chemical公司直接让onsite interview,我到那
里去面试才知道 是因为local 一个城市的 所以找了我去看一看 背景不是很相符
。他们要的是我国内硕士做的东西， 跟我在美国做的东西差得很远很远。
presentation我把硕士的东西跟他们说了说，但是我自己知道做的很浅， 我出来就觉
的没戏，最后连个据信都没有。觉得就是从local找一个垫背的，反正他们不用花钱。
Onsite 2:
6月份去开会，我有一个poster，一个大公司的小managerA看到了很喜欢，当场就专门
问了很多问题，然后就主动给我名片，让我申请，我猜想是真的很相关的原因吧。
6月到9月一直和A email联系，期间这个manager A把我的简历给他们公司的人看了，说

Got more than 15 telephone interviews and more than 7 onsite. None of
them is successful. For some hiring agency, they are looking for the best (
this is the trend in our profession). For some, they hired Americans (they
exhausted every possible sources to do this).
I did make one technical mistake at one big company and did make clumsy
or wrong answers to some behavioral questions at another.

发帖数: 6474 | 21 注意一下你的电话语音效果怎么样。我前几天也做了一个conference call interview，一对六。我以前试验过我家的电话，听对方还行，但是对方听我稍微有点变声。我检验了不同方案，发现用google chat语音效果很好，主要是我的webcam的麦克不错。我用google chat打进去的，电脑喇叭开着，把webcam放到跟前，不用手持电话之类的，只关注对话就可以了。一个小时的interview，这样不会太累。我觉得效果很好，因为电脑的喇叭比较好，对方的问题听的也清楚。我建议你把你简历上你做的每一件具体事例都用口语式的语言详细写一遍，主要是理思路。phone interview的时候，思路清楚了，也没必要拿着读。
我phone interview后一个礼拜，对方发来通知，不需要onsite了，直接写offer。不过我不是在校生啦，工作很多年了。 |

能用公司的landphone回答面试问题（同事领导会听到)。即使事先知道也不可能总请假
在家里phone interview，有限的假期还要攒着给onsite interview留着。也不是每个公司都允许work from home

然后3月20几号面的technical interview，感觉一般般，问题不难倒基本上都答上来了
，但是中间犯了几个小错，被提示了几回。
接下来就是更加漫长的等待....recruiter一直不理我，又等了三周，4月10几号我第三
次催，她才告诉我technical interview反馈不错，要找host match了，这是整个过程
中recruiter第一次直接和我联系...

昨天host interview了，然后本来以为是个俄罗斯人，但是打进来竟然是个mm，听口音
好像还是个印度mm，口音极其难听懂啊...
一上来就自我介绍，然后跟我介绍了下他们组的情况，问我感不感兴趣，那我当然说
absolutely啦。接着问了一些项目相关的技术问题，有时候实在听不懂她的话就只好让
她复述一遍。然后让我介绍一个自认为最有挑战性的项目，我就巴拉巴拉说了一通，然
后最后她说欢迎你。我心头一喜，就问这是不是代表我已经被录取了，她说no,no,no，
这个不是她决定的，她要把情况feedback给谁谁谁。然后我说大概多久能知道结果呀，
waiting for google实在太煎熬了，然后她深表同情的说，这个她也不知道要多久，不
过waiting确实是一件horrible的事情。然后就没了。。。
我就有点纳闷host interview不是面试官直接有决定权的么应该，莫非她不中意我所以
不好意思直接拒绝？
这几天要在等待中煎熬了。。。

两个summary，一个总结我phD的工作跟公司工作关系不大，一个总结我postdoc以来的
工作如何跟公司工作相关。我本来是打算按她说得上在两个summary。但是我今天login
之后发现我的status变成shortlisted，就犹豫要不要上载那两个summary，因为很怕画
蛇添足。我不愿意上载那两个summary有一下几个原因：
1。虽然我postdoc的工作比phd时候的研究稍微偏了一点应用，但是还是不够直接和公
司业务方向相关，虽然principles类似。所以我怕画蛇添足，summary讲的过于具体，
公司一看做的东西不怎么相关，连onsite interview的机会都没了。
2。现在status变成shortlisted，上载新的东西不知道是加分减分，是不是应该以静制
动？
3。今天电话面试我这个白女和我有点小过节。按理说上礼拜我应该campus interview
的，但是我按订好的时间去了之后，那个白女说不能面我因为我是postdoc，但我告诉

早上miss了个phone interview.:'( Email中强调了让他打座机因为怕手机信号不够好
，他说好的。 我一时大脑抽筋，在约定时间五分钟前把手机关了，怕有别的电话打进
来受干扰， 其实按往常，调成震动就好了不必关机的。 结果，结果，那厮还是打了我
手机（列在简历上的），留了个很不高兴的言。 过了十五分钟，我看还没打来，反应
过来，开手机听到了留言。 再按他留的电话打过去和发email过去， 他都不理我了。
写出来，让大家作个前车之鉴吧。 唉。。。

interviews. The sourcer bring the candidates to agree to interview, then
there are coordinators to schedule phone or onsite interviews. After phone
interview, they handle over to the recruiter that eventually prepare for
your offers. thats how i understand it. |

如果SWE可以的话就去当码农了。所以只能选ETL。
这个是recruiter 给的 ETL interview的“定义”。有没有人能给出个具体点的例子。

发帖数: 1 | 44 楼主已经schedule了Google Onsite Interview在12月1日，机票酒店什么的都订好了，
但由于绿卡的原因，可能要到明年六七月份才能换工作，楼主想推迟Onsite Interview
。这样不至于拿到OFFER后推迟太久上班。另外，楼主觉得可能需要更多的时间准备
Onsite Interview。
楼主的情况是这样的。现在的公司Sponsor EB1B，485是5月初交的，本来觉得11月初应
该能拿到绿卡，这样12月份ONSITE，加上Google Offer可以拖三个月，也差不多拿到绿
卡六个月后换工作。但现在绿卡还没批，律师说现在平均是６到９个月485，按照情形
，11月分批的可能性很小。
为了保险起见，我想把Onsite Interview往后推迟，这样会不会不好？Google会不会不
干然后上黑名单之类的呢？另外，要推迟的话，可以推多久呢？我想推迟到３,4月分更
保险点。 |

稍微提示一下，对方马上变得非常defensive。那就算了。后边要是写个八九不离十还
是给过。
多数recruiter给的面试提示里都会明确说，与interviewer的合作很重要，
interviewer给的提示一定要好好利用。有句话说得好：面试，是去证明自己牛逼，而
不是证明interviewer傻逼的。这情商，估计就算是进了滴滴也会举步维艰。
这个帖子里的很多回帖当中的暴虐之气确实令人吃惊。以后国人junior candidate的
interview invitation我打算直接decline了。 |

the situation. The boss said they still have two more interviews and I asked

do you think I have a good opputunity to get this job?
He said: Put it in that way, we enjoyed the interview with you.
What does it mean? positive or negative?
I don't have any interview experience before. Will it take so long? The job
is govenment job and open until filled. Thanks |

offer. Now several months later another very different group in the same
company will phone interview me for different position, should I initiate
telling them my previous on-site interview? Thanks for your input |

小弟化学，生物，材料三大苦逼专业之一，找工作找的都快吐了。
上个礼拜和hiring manager 电话面试后，拿到第一个 onsite interview，叫account
manager，其实就是销售工程师的职位。
然后HR就给我订了机票，但是没有说具体的interview process，我发邮件问HR也没回
音，这种情况需要问Hiring manager吗？ 一般这种interview是个什么流程呢？需要准
备presentation吗？

有经验人士：
1， 我和LG的INTERVIEW 约在LABOUR DAY 那周， 我们原本计划趁LABOUR DAY的长周末
去外地旅游，所以想请教我们是否可以提前去INTERVIEW, 即在八月中旬就去，不知这
样是否可以。
2， 能否告知一些INTERVIEW时会问的问题，我们也好提前准备， 还是有些紧张。
