发帖数: 1978 | 2 knight内部有最起码两个desk，表面上的market making是flow desk，他们内部还有用
flow desk的存货做prop trading的desk。最近听说他们招了好些account manager，但
是招进去以后发现根本没所谓的account.
另外，一般的flow desk，虽然会按market maker obligation在市场上挂单，但是都基
本上没可能打到的单。如果他们是狂放order的话，或者有大的flow进来，或者有大的
货要清仓，trader没可能不知道。他们market making的数学model，虽然很可能对小股
票会出现singular output，但是那么大的量，做了30分钟才停，完全不可能是。
knight的问题，从他们09年高层分裂开始就开始比较明显了，flow这一块，从08年
retail flow渐渐消失以后，日子是越来越难过。 哪怕是knight / citadel / citi-
bank / e-trade / Barclay 这前五大，都是相互割肉抢flow。citi-bank / e-trade /

您要在电视上看见 Knight, 一定对他印象深刻. 满头白发, 一双小儿炯炯有神的眼睛,
身上穿的衣服, 身后的背景, 只要可能, 肯定挂着商家的广告. 老头儿是个商业社会的
精灵. 想要赚钱先得出名, 想要出名就得先有争议性. 冠军是不可能年年拿的, 就是年
年拿了也惹人讨厌. 但隔三差五的制造点儿事端则是一本万利. Knight 是自我炒做的大
师! 还别不信, 2001年以前谁看 Texas Tech 的比赛啊? 2001年以后就是不一样, 一多
半儿的人就是冲他去的, 生破错过了他再次扔椅子或者掐人的历史一刻!
Knight 当着教练, 做着广告, 甚至还有自己的电视节目, 花差花差的猛赚. 他精明, 但

几乎打起来。从此认识了这个脾气火爆，有人爱到疯狂，有人狠到入骨的老“将军”，
bobby。
knight有句明言，我死后一定要头朝下下葬，这样骂我的人可以kiss my ass。难怪他
在西点的学生，如今在duke猛招小白脸的coach k会这样评价他：他是个完美主义者，
即使做到80％也等于什么也没做。
knight不仅在球场性格火爆，在训练时更是脾气坏的厉害，终于因为在indiana多次打
球员，给学校逼着退了。虽然也有人叫好，更多的indiana人恐怕是要大骂校长若干年
了。
01年来到德州理工的时候，tt只是个偶尔打几场好球的小球队。但是knight继续了他在
indiana的老传统，招生并不出色，可是一个个都是拼劲十足。stingy的防守让很多人

，尘烟之下，无一人活命, 仅靠一把匕首，神经质的对话，掌控一切重大犯罪现场，强
得毫无逻辑，可以感受到导演对这个邪恶化身的偏爱. Joker的锋芒完全盖过了Batman,
他无厘头的让铅笔消失的magic,穿着护士服像卓别林一般走出来，像小孩一样晃动着遥
控器，直至医院从局部爆破到轰然间灰飞烟灭，我不禁想发出笑声，可是这事实是如何
残酷和冷血，让我想笑的同时觉得毛骨悚然. Joker的邪恶让人恐惧却吸引着你，浑身
起鸡皮疙瘩的时候，却忘了对他怨恨，甚至觉得他很funny. 他神情专注从小手枪到重
型机枪到拿着火箭炮射警车的时候，你还可以看到他身型高大俊朗，风度翩翩，只是邪

于是众人在偶的带领下向中关村进发, 二十分钟后大家已正襟危坐, 作好大吃
的准备了. 其时knight已摘掉了草帽和墨镜, 一双小眼睛在近视镜后闪着狡猾的
光. 他一上来就宣称自己不能喝酒, 想喝可乐, 结果被大家一阵痛斥, 只好要了
一杯扎啤一饮而尽(足见他有多能喝!), 喝完后假惺惺地说:"快点把啤酒喝完才能
喝可乐嘛." 一桌子人都被他蒙骗了, 只有hounter一个人知道内情, 躲在一边邪恶
地笑.
写到这里得介绍一下参加本次报告会的MM, 这次报告会一共有三个MM, ID我是记
不清了, 都是漫画板的. 这三个MM长得极PP, 使这次报告的档次空前的高. 本猫
上网以来总是听说"网上无美女", 这次见面彻底消除了这一心理障碍, 正是:

乐的暑假，吃的好玩的好，让我
们坚定了给他找个伴的决心。
下午去county shelter看了一下，没有合适的，晚上就到petsmart看。结果发现了个黑
男猫，5个月，很active，非常
符合我们的要求 （鉴于Polar在6p家的超级精力旺盛的表现，确定的标准）。我其实不
是很喜欢黑色的猫，但仔细看的
时候，发现黑色的毛非常亮，再加上其他条件不错，当即申请，不到30分钟就作好所有
手续，买好沙盆食物回来了。
回来后，把猫连carrier放在客厅，Polar哈了一下。我们就赶紧把knight 放到书房。
小家伙没有Polar胆大，过了半天
才出来查探情况。Polar可能是被母老虎打怕了，结果钻到床底下去了。有时候出来一
下，在门口偷偷看。我打开门进
去，Polar远远瞧见knight,又一溜烟窜床下了。哎，这家伙表现的不行啊。

knight的性格跟Polar完全不一样。 Polar胆子大的要死，从来不知道怕，到新环境以
后都是大摇大摆的，根本不怕人，对声音也是只有兴趣。Knight比较胆小，放他一个人
在书房，他就喵喵叫，然后躲在carrier里面。只要开门，他就吓一跳。
这个有没有办法调教啊？真担心两只猫合不来, 虽然都很active. |

锁的那种理想算法，横竖应该跟MPI差不多，但是实际上效率只有MPI的一半到三分之二
左右。从Intel和AMD的CPU，到knights corner, knights landing都是这样子。要说是
memory access的问题，但是multisock的CPU都是NUMA，而MIC还是UMA，按说更好才是
。最后不光是我们自己，去那些HPC的workshop，大家都是一样的说法。结果就是平常
那种常见的32核心的机器，通常都是跑4MPIx8OpenMP或者8MPIx4OpenMP |

还说knight的flow好几年都没挣钱了。他们flow这几年挣得钱超过所有做flow的公司，
包括Citadel。flow的revenue是Knight annual net income的好几倍。
自以为懂得挺多的，其实很多基本常识都搞错。别再这里现眼了。

备办H1b transfer的当口就遇到了这样的事. 已经托猎头向HR和hiring manager打听情
况了, 据说周四周五Knight忙得一塌糊涂, 至今还没有回复.
想在此听听大家的看法, 如果他们还继续招这个职位, 还值得去么? 绿卡也是我很在意
的一点, 之前他们坚持必需工作一年以后才开始办. 我现在的公司已经帮我办了EB-2,
140已过在等排期. PD relink的风险也不小. 谢谢! |
