return IF company laid off employee. It is different from what you resign
yourself. I do not see the point you worked for 2 full years, get lay-off,
the company asked for return.
But if it is resignation letter, it is different. Most bonus does not need
to return after 1-2 yrs, check your job offer letter. You could ask your
manager if he could help - but not sure.

后就没有上班过，一直在家里拿unemployment benefit，每周600左右，很爽
resign是自己主动离职，没有这个福利拿。
所以千万，千万要被雷。被fire了 就是什么 employment termination也没有福利。属
于有什么把柄给公司抓住了，违反了什么纪律，把你解雇了。
laid off一般是暂时停职，由于经济不好，把你放一边，理论上等经济好了还要你回来

在DOT找了份工作，职位很低， 而且很不对口。我是学机构的，工作是交通。但是有工作总比没
有工作好。现在不到4个月，又接到DOT得一个interview机会，是我想要的职位。本人感想，不要灰
心，resume要多投。我也是运气好才找到这份工作。当时一个老华侨把我招进去了。我当时并不认识
他。

刚刚被lay off，不是个人原因，老板在公司政治斗争中失败，辞职走了。我属于始终
坚定站在老板这一边的。老板招我进公司，对我很不错，工作也特别认真。
老板走后一周多点，整组被Laid off，理由职位不存在了，功能合并了。
刚被laid off第二天收到狗家面试邀请，话说我不但没有申请，都一两年没有更新各种
招聘网站了。
想了两天，答应了电话面试邀请。对方选了个两天后的时间。
到点了，开始等电话，迟了6分钟打进来。
寒暄一番。让我介绍一下自己的情况，我讲了2，3句话，然后就说了我刚刚被公司laid
off才一周多点的时间。然后我再讲了也就半句话多点。电话断了。
从来没有出现过自己的脸挂断电话的情况，但是当时我怀疑自己的脸不小心挂断了电话

给我办绿卡。公司律师推拉到上个月终于贴广告了。昨天被LAID OFF，而且这个LAID
OFF 莫名其妙。都快自己不机灵，上个月有个同事也是GC的广告都贴出来一阵子，突然

发帖数: 727 | 42 要么早点LAID OFF，还有多时间找工作，要么过10/1 后LAID OFF。他现在这么个时间
点上，赶在10/1递交TRANSFER是不太可能。
我当年是5月初就LAID-OFF，这样我就又好几个月时间找工作，我8月初就找到工作，但
是白干2个月（也就学软件啥的），因为我那时是CPT的，没想再开2个月的CPT。到10/1
号后TRANSFER了才拿工资。 |

This 90-day rule is just a joke, set by USCIS to act against international
students. Nobody takes it seriously, even USCIS's dogs--university
international centers. Have you heard that anyone was out of status because
of this 90-day rule? I haven't. But I don't think everyone find his/her job in

them 550 teachers whose jobs were cut because of declining enrollment,

laid off了，然后他们就拼命的压工资，salary negotiate的时候说了我一堆毛病，所

My company was acquired 2.5 years and laid of lots of people (no more
than 20% employees still work for the new company, 3 or the 4 departments

8/3/2010 收到第一份指纹通知，叫我8/26去打指纹
本来是H1B，然后办的family－based的绿卡，由于刚收到receipt不久就被laid off了
，我8/11/2010就跑到芝加哥的
ASC要求打指纹，结果门卫不让我进，问我为啥早来，我说我被laid off了，急需EAD，
因为我新工作已经找到。
结果，门卫还是不让我进，说我可以把指纹通知那张表交了，reschedule一个早点的，
结果我就乖乖照做了（看来被laid
off头两天不适合做任何决定），现在已经8/20号了，还没有收到新的指纹通知，我怀
疑是不是重新预约了个更晚的时间
啊。
请各位高手指点，我应该打customer service电话去问，还是用info pass？

爸妈的话，年纪不算很老，而且也可以找中信递签，也不是那么麻烦
MBA也不是马上就要读，自己都没计划还
其他就真不了解，大家觉得有必要花这个钱现在就赶着办么？绿卡对自己的生活改变究
竟有多大呢
还担心就是过几年要求更多竞争更激烈
真得很纠结
