我通常对不熟的senior叫title
不过他们都会insist我叫他们first name
美国西欧和东欧也不太一样
我对东欧的一般按照类似亚洲的处理
也有些东欧的会insist我叫他们first name
对中国人，长我一轮的都叫老师，不管多熟悉
包括英文写信，都是laoshi，呵呵
在一轮以内的全是first name
对日本人，年纪相仿的全是first name
对senior的都叫某某sensei，不过有要我叫他们first name的 |

当然我说的这些大家其实都很清楚了，我总结一下。
当学生的时候用Professor/Dr. Smith总是没错儿的。
后来当AP了，给外国同事发信，肯定是用First name。
第一次给不熟悉的人发信还是用Professor/Dr. Smith，然后看他/她回信的署名，
1）如果署名是John 或 John Smith的话，我下次再回信就用John开头。
2）如果他回信抬头写的是Dear San或Hi San, 那我下次也用John开头。
3）他如果回信抬头用Dear Professor Zhang, 并且用Professor/Dr. Smith或J. Smith
署名的话，我下次还用Professor/Dr. Smith。
但是最后有一点很tricky的就是给国内老师回信。假设这个老师叫李四。在中国，即使
是很熟悉的同事之间，也常常是用“李老师“这种说法。特别是对年纪、资历比自己长
的老师，例如系主任、前导师等，更是必须用”李老师“来说。这样就给我写信的时候

公证”所要的材料了？
我的理解是公证要本人去，而且要护照，绿卡原件和复印件。认证则是到 Notary
Public 做公证，然后去Secretary of State 证明这个公证员的资格。然后将这个公证
件，以及本人的护照复印件及驾照复印件（不需原件）寄往Chicago 认证Secretary of
State 的证明，不知道对不对。板上如果有人做过指点一下。
俺最近也有这个问题。母亲在国内卖房改房，过户居然需要俺的“放弃继承权声明书”
，打电话到芝加哥领馆永远是没人接，voice mail box 满了（估计没有满也不会回）
。想发Email看着那个GMAIL的邮箱，估计也不会有回信的。嗨。
LaoShi是不是做类似的证明？能不能指点一二？

这种情况，你跟公寓管理人员先沟通一下，你的unit已经不适合居住，如果他们不能给
你调换个unit，你就要搬出去。
押金肯定是要退给你，这个月的房租也不用交了。
laoshi说的更准确些，但写信的目的是让房东赶紧修空调，而不是不付房租 |

Those live LaoYeYe like to bet 15, 25, which is a leak. You can only use the

without thinking.
Once MM LaoShi mentioned, if you can not read ppl well, the only way to make

that you should start to do something different. Like MM Laoshi said, your
system does not work really well so far, so you may add some aggression to
your game like liu suggests. I remember your AK/AQ discussion before, that
could be a major leak in your game if you think/play AK/AQ that way.
