第一名MAUGUS IMPRUMPTUS 主力都是两年前打A-LEAGUE的。在A-LEAGUE拿了
最后一名，从去年开始打B-LEAGUE。真正的B-LEAGUE对他们没有什么希望。
不过，小孩子比他们快。所谓初生之牛不怕虎，以小孩为主力的第二名BOS-BAD
与他们打成3-4，明年就可以赢他们了。
我们队运气比较好，第一轮分到最弱组。我们这一组的三个队后来在每一个
循环圈里都垫底，在1-3里是第3，在4-6里是第6，在7-9里是第9，可见真正
是最弱的组。如果我们分在别的组很可能就进不了前三了。这个队几乎是两
年前的冠军队的全班人马，平均岁数差不多50岁（49点几），现在勉强打到
第三，可见现在的B-LEAGUE不好打。
真正说起来，1-2名算比别人高一头，3-8名差不多，表现好（加上运气好）
都可以打到第三。第9名最弱。
说到第九名，他们队的名字是PTC FAMILY。全是PARAMETRIC一个公司的（包
括家属）。一个公司能搞出这么一个队还是很不错的，如果去打C-LEAGUE有

USTA League/Tournament是很好的提高网球竞技水平的平台。
USTA有很多League，每个League都有自己的特点。一个League season可以短到3个月，
长到10个月。一个season一般至少可以打6场比赛。大多数League需要参加一个team才
能打，成绩也是以team总成绩为主。好处是能有一帮队友一起有共同目标，训练，比赛
，加油，就像play for school/college。因为USTA有自己的动态rating system, 对水
平定位客观。坏处是时间上的commitment要求较高，比赛压力大（队友都看着呢）。而
且赛季很长。相比自己打野球，有一些额外的分子钱（social，court, gas, coach开销）。
USTA Tournament 比League多多了。不过一般都是挂个USTA的名字，就像KFC似的。时
间上也短多了。一般就一周，很少有超过两周的。大多数比赛是淘汰赛，输一轮就出局

发帖数: 154 | 9 fantasy football season 开始了，我也回来了。从明年开始，seriously 考虑只
玩football的fantasy了。其他的不是没兴趣就是没时间了。 闲话少说，想谈谈
money league. Ras 先给我reserve个位子啊。
希望money league不是一年的league, 队伍也能相对固定下来。 第一年决定多少队
以后就是多少队了，尽量不考虑扩编。 当然换owner的门总是开着的。不想玩的，
找个人继承。固定也意味着scoring system固定，不轻易改。
原因嘛，是为了把这个money league搞的更象现实。总和你知道的这些队compete,
即使今年bust了还可以有明年。hey,说不定能整出个rivalry来。
既然是为了更象现实，而且有money league这个有利条件，建议考虑不同于一般yahoo
league里草稿的方式。首先可以考虑的是加keeper league. 当队伍常年固定下来后，
keeper终于不是一句空话了。根据以前的讨论，keeper league里决定下一年draft order
的最好方式是toil |

打league对网球比较认真是真的，也是很好的锻炼，不过也不是说想和别人教个高下，
偶看大多数打
league的人都是for fun，基本上气氛都是挺好的。
偶自己觉得打league还有一个好处不用等位，因为平时晚上人多要排队，打league是专
场专用不用排
队，所以打league可以说是参加俱乐部的一个福利。
总之，是否要打League取决于你对网球这项爱好有多认真。一般打USTA League/
Tournament的都是比较认真的想和别人较个高下的。如果只是为了锻炼那打野球是最好
的因为各方面都自己控制很灵活。 |

第一次打USTA,最重要的问题就是self-rate哪个NTRP level好呢？
其实NTRP rating这东西是鬼子30多年前搞出来的东西，而且从那之后就没变过。这么
长时间过去了不少东西都过时了。30年前4.0的水平可能就相当于今天弱3.5（比如，把
当年巅峰的麦肯罗放今天的ATP打，应该前200都够呛）。而且根据其定义，NTRP是个很
主观的东西。比如，稳定有力的把球打到场内。每个人都有不同解读。USTA League从
某种程度解决了这个量化的问题。USTA开发了算法来将每个人League的成绩放到一起计
算，年底再发布当年的rating。有了这个算法，USTA的NTRP就成为了动态标准。也就是
说USTA NTRP和当年的NTRP概念已经完全不同了。
第一次打USTA League最好先问下周围打USTA球友人的对你level看法。然后再考虑下你
打USTA的主要目的。一般有下面几种目标：

Jeremy Lin and Jerome Jordan became the first Knicks ever assigned to the D-
League on Tuesday, when team officials sent both players to the Erie
BayHawks.

我们这里有一个league也从属USTA，但是和一般USTA很不一样，教day league，
比如USTA一般比赛不能有coach，而day league可以。

发帖数: 174 | 20 自打生完娃以后，惭愧地比生娃以前增重30磅一直没减掉。做过几次瑜伽，发现不是自
己的那杯茶。胖妈痛定思痛，终于在娃两岁两个月的时候重新拾起球拍返回网球场。
USTA和我们这里流行的metro都要周六打球，实在没那个时间。这里各小城市的local
league基本上没有女单。我就在本地打local league的women’s rotation。赛制为双
打，三set，每set轮换partner，赢一个game积一分，按累计积分决定下一场的三个队
友。这样基本上几场下来，对手就都差不多水平了。
杂乱无章说说技术。我在生娃前单打过几年，然后就是跟LG一起打过几个赛季的混双。
俩人都不喜欢上网，都是单打打法，靠底线打，可想而知战绩如何。不过对单打落点超
级有帮助，你想啊，几乎所有的球都在pass或者lob…现在复出，全打双打。前两个赛
季还是单打打法，经常双后。league里的现在都见怪不怪了，反正成绩也不差的说。上
网么，咱是3.5+的底线，2.5的volley。。。汗。
几个优势：（1）正反手的直线球，这个是终极武器哈，对手二发浅球时，网前那个只

孩子喜欢干吗那是他的权利，他不想去ivy league，totally fine，总比孩子想去ivy
league但父母没有为他提供条件要好得多。父母能做到就是给孩子创造多种路由他来选
择，决定权还是在孩子手里，并非父母决定他一定要去ivy league

1。关于Keeper's League应该何时开始进行：
我认为Keeper's League应该今年就着手进行。一来是让那些bottom team可以
着手开始rebuilding，其次，也可以让contending team们之间的竞争更加激
烈，增加比赛的娱乐性。
有人可能认为现在开始进行会导致不公平，这是一个很值得考虑的事情，因为
本来这个League开始的时候并不是设定为keeper's league。我认为，通过下
面我所提到的措施，让各队尽可能平衡是有可能的。
2。关于keeper的数量：
根据我的统计（文摘篇192），当Keeper=9，10，11时，我们现有联盟球队之
间的差异最小。同时也可以发现，在这些情况下，球队今年的成绩和球员的强
弱关系并不是很大。这也证明了我的假说：现在大家的球队在Keeper=10的时候，
实力是非常接近的。当Keeper=6，7，8时，相对而言对麇集较多top star的球
队有利。而Keeper>11时，球队强弱开始参差不齐，因此也不予以考虑。
根据以上的统计，我认为Keeper=10 |

1. 老干部活动中心（VCAC League） 常规赛采分组循环赛制，每周周五中午在天鹅乒
乓俱乐部举行。每次比赛最多接受10人报名。
2. 报名截止时间为比赛前一日晚10点，如果报名人数不足10人，截止时间延长到比赛
当日的12点。
3. 如果报名人数超过5人，比赛将分两个小组进行。报名人数为偶数时，两个小组人
数均分，奇数时在低级组多一人。
4. 在报名人数超过10人的情况下，按下列优先顺序决定参赛人员：
－ 前个两小组比赛各小组的第一名
－ 最近三个月内参加VCAC常规赛次数最多的5个人中的报名者

知道，不许那么说我。
但是不行，我非得纠缠住这个Ivy League，我知道没有Ivy league law school一说，
但我原文中“Ivy league”和“law school”之间有一个“的”字，我的意思是常春藤
学校的law school。常春藤盟校的law school自然排名也是靠前的，比如前十名中的
Yale, Harvard, NYU, Columbia, UPenn，UM 等等，你自己去研究一下好了。我问Ivy
League的law school,这个问题的目的和效果是一样的，因此这个问题本身其实没毛病。
同志们能不能不要避实击虚，比方说我的问题本身不好啦，Princeton是ivy league但
没有law school因此逻辑不对啦，或者是啥啥啥的。如果你实际上明白我说的是咋回事
，就别在那儿那啥。
那我干脆还是把第三个条件修改成“排名前十五的law school”算了。没问题了吧？

目前我们有6个人 希望能有至少10个以上的朋友来玩
没有什么具体要求
只是希望来玩的朋友能保持active
玩过fantasy的朋友都知道
要是对手很多不常玩就没有意思了
其实与其大家在板上整天yy 外加黑这个蜜那个
不如来玩fantasy啦 嘿嘿
我上个赛季玩了3个public league和1个private league
最后都是第一
而且我的阵容几乎是不重复的哦 娃哈哈
真的很擅长yy球员 嘿嘿
忘了说了，我们的league明天（周6）上午7：00am PDT live draft
用的是standard Rotisserie规则 唯一的变动是去掉了can't cut list
像去年那样拿到Marbury想drop都不行就哭了。。。

式申请表上会询问AMC/AIME的成绩，Stanford和一些藤校会在申请附表上询问AMC/AIME
成绩。
对搞数学竞赛的孩子来说，Math League是个不重要的竞赛，在AMC和ARML之后。在大学
申请中，Math League成绩对名校申请应该没什么帮助，对好州大级别的学校可能有些
帮助。
国内有商业机构推广Math League相关的夏令营，所以比较吹Math League。 |

一般一把手枪在500刀左右，好点的800-900刀，加各种Accessories，1000刀应该可以了。买枪前最好去受训一下，看看什么枪合适自己，学习持枪安全知识，然后练习。
先上一个Basic Handgun的课，一般75-100刀左右，Insight/West Coast Armory和Wades Gunshop都有Offer。
然后练习。我喜欢有Coach指导一下。问了一下Insight, 冬天没有Women's Shooting League,不过有不分性别的Co-Ed Shooting League I.一般要去个８次，每次１５刀。这个不贵，自己租一个枪道也要１０刀。加上子弹，租枪等，大概每次费用会在３０－４０刀左右。

原则上参加者将继续拥有他们现有的队伍。
2。明年不玩Keeper's League的，明年队伍由新加入者继承。希望
即使明年不玩了，今年也不要放弃，至少要留一支有竞争力的球队
给别人。
3。明年的Keeper's League，每个owner可以保留一定数量今年roster
的成员（个人倾向为15人，9batter+6pitcher）

你可以trade now for future。你可以体会如何rebuild一支球队。
这种体验，现在得fantasy league完全是不能提供得。
现在坐trade必须要公平，双方都尽可能平衡，但是如果有keeper's league，你就可以
坐一些长远看来平衡得trade。
打个比方，现在得league是一个zero-sum game。one man's gain is the other's loss.
玩Keeper's，就是一个positive-sum game。很多时候可以做出双赢得交易。
我要增加keeper得数量，就是基于这些原则得。keeper得人数不能太少，否则超级明星
球队就很有利，而且也不容易做trade now for future得交易。
roster得size也不能太小，否则大家宁愿拣FA也不肯trade
另外roster size打，对balance得team来说是一种优势。打个比方，你用两三个普通
球员platoon |

发帖数: 40 | 44 在美国购买NBA league pass的问题是不能看全部比赛，全美直播的不能看（TNT，ESPN
，NBA TV)，你所在地方的球队比赛如果有本地电视台直播的也不能看，这个是跟IP有
关的，也就是说如果你去另一个地方玩，那么那个地方的球队你就看不了。
国际版的league pass就没有这个问题，能看全部比赛，有些地区还会便宜（主要是南
美和非洲，亚洲有些也便宜）。我目前用的是香港买的，观看比赛需要一点额外的工作。
购买
需要VPN连接到香港，然后登陆NBA官网，注册ID，购买league pass

用VPN连接到香港，打开NBA官网，登陆，观看的时候可以断开VPN。
iPad （不想麻烦的同学后面有快捷方式）
需要下载香港版本的NBA应用，比较麻烦的是切换的香港的app store。详细步骤如下

and next season we'll continue to have two leagues but we should
keep it different next year.
one thing we should make sure to do is keep a record of our
final roster
but then how the keeper league will actually be implemented (esp.
in a non-paying site like yahoo) is not easy to say - ideally
we should even implement a Premier/Div I kind of system :)
