For rear differential fluid, I learnt from helping a friend with his Subaru.
For subaru sedan, in order to make it level when refilling, need 4 jack
stand, not an easy work. Heehee.

简短说,车停在门口(NY,Elmhurst),被贼半夜光顾,怪自己疏忽大意,被盗很多东西
,比如电子产品,但是这个贼竟然无耻到拿走运动鞋和文件,lessons learnt in a
hard way.
第二日早上报警,警察file loss report,但是价值不够做指纹记录,文件也没法file
,没辙,他们也帮不到什么。可恶的是,随后两天似乎这个贼还在打我的主意,早上起
来会有破雨伞插到我的车轮内,无明业火爆起,准备与之斗争。
初步计划如下:在车上贴条"return my documents and I'll pay you $$$",然后车内
装摄像头,当贼半夜再次光顾的时候将其拍摄....接下来还没想好,但是已经遇到技术
问题。。
在Amazon做了些research,发现没有自带电池的security camera,不知道有没有能在
车不启动下用车载电池拍摄的头。
遂向大家求助!拜谢!

1、沪指能不能顶住压力?均线撕咬才刚刚开始
上证指数今日收在3536.93点,涨幅0.34%;深成指收在12443.05点,涨幅0.92%。
两市严重缩量,成交额萎靡,7500亿左右。沪指压力更大,被10日线牢牢压制,上方更
有令人畏惧的20日线,11月27日的那根放量大阴线至今未能消化,不管是从价格上还是
成交上,加之本周五进入新股申购时间表,市场方面更的资金压力会加大,目前最好的
打算是以缩量横盘站上10日线,但是能否成行,需要打问号。
2、创业板能不能站稳最后一条均线?震荡行情个股多多
创业板目前看起来还是比较乐观的,点位上突破2700点,均线上站稳10日线,盘中
冲击20日线,同时量能看起来也在悄悄的稳中有升。下一目标也很明确,就是争取站稳
最后一条均线,20日线。但是因为新股申购的资金压力,能否在本周一蹴而就还得另当
别论,关键还是看是否会出现一飞冲天的热门题材,带领创业板个股遍地开花,不过从
今天的盘面来看,题材相当活跃,传媒、新能源都出现了前期强势股再次涨停的大好局
面,遍地开花的可能性是大大的存在。

这是这个学期的最后一天,外面正在下着雪,天也渐渐黑了下来。办公室里冷极了,没
有窗户,不知道是白天还是黑夜。在这又冷又黑的晚上,同学们都回家过圣诞去了,一
个蓬头散发的小女孩在办公室里坐着推公式。她不能回家,因为她还没有文章,没有文
章怎么申请博士后啊?她从家里出来的时候还穿着一件外套,但是有什么用呢?那是一
件很大的外套——那么大,不知是哪一年买的。为了推公式的时候更方便,她推导写草
稿纸的时候就把它脱掉了,同学们常常嘲笑说,那件外套还是超对称刚提出那个时代的
款式。
小女孩只好一个人做推导,一双小脚冻得红一块青一块。她面前的文章划得满满的,桌
上的草稿纸上一个式子写了满满三页还没写完,其中还包括很多的点点点[1]。这一整
天,她都没有啃一口汉堡王买的一块钱的汉堡包,只是天黑前到系里最有钱的做伪科学

Just my two cents,
While doing biz on ebay, I have dealt with some return requests and/or
claims.(俗话说常在河边走,焉能不湿鞋)。 Most requests are reasonable,
whereas some are not. However, I have learnt to always stand in buyer's
shoes in dealing with every individual claim. Before you start handling each
claim, please try to calm down treat every buyer as a regular customer with
your sincerity. In most cases, buyer would become reasonable and willing to

It's really a big surprise that 251NW became a poison. It means a lot of
things: too many people are doing this nowadays. It only takes a week and
all nurses/docs/vendors buy in it like crazy, all betting it would rise like
all other HP. But it's all about supply and demand. With such a small
demand for medium priced laser printer, it takes years to digest those

those 2 universities gave fellowships on the university level. the succesful
rate for getting the tenure is much larger than 20%. this is what I learnt
from one Head of Department in one of those 2 universities

learnt two lessons - 不应滥用同情心 and read between lines.
Here is my tentative solution:
1) If the department has not TA position left, I will directly tell the
student that there is nothing I can do. I have already told him in both
talks that I don't have RA for him if there is no TA that is the end of
everything.

女儿终于要从小学毕业了,那个一定意义上主宰着父母命运的女儿。十一年前,小小不
成形的她突然降临于母亲腹中,让大人最终彻底决定走完移民加拿大的路,来到温哥华
定居。如今,这个满嘴英文,张口闭口说“加拿大比中国好”的孩子要从小学毕业了。
女儿学校为毕业班举办了热闹又隆重的毕业典礼,到场的家长众多,即使我家人紧赶慢
赶,还是落在别人后面,只坐到紧靠门口的几张椅子上,当然要比没有座位,站着的那
些晚到者强一些。可见大家对孩子的毕业典礼多么重视,虽然只是个小学毕业。
毕业典礼开始后,随着悦耳的音乐,在众人的注目和期待中,一个接一个毕业班的小学
生身着正装,有些羞涩又有些神气地步入会场。家长们翘首盼望着自己孩子出场,瞪着
眼睛、拿着相机,而孩子们就像受到夹道欢迎的球赛队员一样。
那一时刻还是很激动的,有多少学生,就有多少在他们身后密切关注的眼睛。一双双父
母的眼睛能紧跟孩子追随他们一生,而孩子常常不知觉,就象儿时的我们没有觉察到父
母对我们的关注一样。他们自顾自走他们的路,似乎完全不知晓这段简单的路对个人一

IMHO, for long HDMI cables(>15FT) choosing name brand products is a better
bet; and you can find those namebrand cables without the crazy price tags,
for example, u may look for it in Costco. I learnt my lessons on those
generic cables.

Harry Browne. Your political view may defer, but his understanding of life
is one of the most pure and unbiased, so is his investment strategy.
I learnt about Permanent Portfolio from this board and was impressed by its
simplicity, elegance and depth.
I am starting to convert my portfolio (mostly cash at the moment) to PP.

With asymmetry like that, why not speculate? These weak enterprises,

hehe making calls is one thing, executing in the real time is much more
important
I got out of 401K at 1250, hopefully I can get back in cheaper
so far the odd is high with a possible intermediate declining into March
from as early as the next few days.
but one lesson I have learnt is to be flexible and not to let the emotions
rule one's analysis. Too many people, especially those on the stock board,
seem to care more about being right rather than making real money.

but it is a great fun
interesting that no much people showing off when market tanking to the
bottom and a lot of them poped out when market rallying, guess it is

Okay, then this is a different story. Unlike many people here, you actually
had the determination and did a lot of your homework for timing the market.
It's just so difficult that you need to go through a few bull/bear cycles to
fully absorb what you learnt from the books and know how to apply them.
Meanwhile, you need to learn how to protect yourself when you are still not
so good at it.
There is nothing wrong with picking winners. I share the same mindset too.

well...that is what we call market cycle and no one can avoid that.
hopefully with dollar averaging and a diversified portfolio you suffer less.
..you have to suffer it to enjoy the average annual return of like 6% after
a decade....
the cost of timing is that you can NEVER pick the right timing plus timing
means trading more frequent so more trading costs...
the 101 lesson i learnt is that i am not Buffet and i am average and should
be happy with the average return...

Yes, i took quite a few programming courses and i took a lot math/stats
courses (even enough to get another degree) too. The problem is what i
learnt from courses seems helpless to my job seeking. I have an
interdisciplinary background but none of them is strong enough and i don’t
have enough time at this moment to make a dramatic improvement...
I think my background in molecular biology technique is still the strongest
among all I have.

No, you can't use the same photo as passport one from what I learnt.
The opt application rules specifically requires your photo taken within 1
month of application. If you simply submit the passport photo, USCIS would
immediately recognize it is not the recent one and reject your application.

My suggestion for you is don't limit yourself to one industry. I studied
machining for 4 years, but none of my offers is from traditional mfg
companies. The engineering fundamentals you learnt can find applications
anywhere.
