If the door is opened and you press the button, does it start
to close, then reverses? Or nothing happens? If it starts to
close first, then there is nothing wrong with the circuitry,
probably the track and wheels need to be lubricated. if the
door gets too much resistance, it will reverse because it
thinks it had hit someone. It's a safety feature. |

of your time to try to maintain it. Normally people just use it as long as
it works (it should last a long time) then change to a new one when it fails
. Of course you can try to lubricate it and get it cleaned every few months,
but I serious doubt anybody do it. |

only a few more days. Just go to Home Depot and buy another. It's really
cheap and very easy to install. This is a simple DIY job.

with my hands, I guess it was lacking lubrication, but still didn't feel
that was all the problem. I checked its sensor and it worked great. Since it
was a quite old fan and it is not so easy to go to the attic to repair, I
thought it is better to get a new one. The new fan's blades moved very

1. 打开filter后看看grid有没有破损。
2. grid架子跟filter连接的管道上有一个o Ring，装起来的时候别忘了抹一些o Ring
lubricant，homedepot有卖的。
3. 是不是什么原因filter进气了，开pump前把压力表的出气阀打开，开pump后，等气
全放出，全是水的时候再关出气阀。btw，进气的原因可以是水面太低，气从skimmer进
去，或压力表慢撒气，或pump前什么管道连接处漏气？
4. PH，氯, cyanuric acid的读数是多少？最好有试纸，每天都要用得东西。或者装一
瓶水，带去local pool service store免费测一下？

roybi is not the best brand for blowers, but given the CFM, it is not bad.
My only concern is that the blower gets dirty after use (gas spills, dirt,
fan lubricant etc). I just don't feel very comfortable carrying it on my
back. |

For the folks who don't want to cut the ceiling to install a brand new fan,
clean and lubricate the exiting fan motor is easier. If the clean doesn't
help, you can buy a replacement motor so it fit the exact the hole/vent.
Even it's a very old model(>20 years), you might still be able to get a
replacement motor if it's a well known brand like Broan.
