我懂一些machine learning, data mining方面的一些常用的model,classification和
cluster方法，也用过一些在工作和学习中。现在想多学习一下machine learning,
data mining的一些基础知识，比如bias-variance tradeoff,相关的一些probability
和random process 方面的知识。
我找了一些材料，比如Vapnik的statistical learning theory,但是感觉他们比较深，
不是fundamental level的。
烦请各位推荐一些关于以上知识的fundamental level的材料。

what does that mean? running the same command from the psotest machine

发帖数: 3393 | 13 公司的vpn软件是2002年的nortel（windows的）。不想直接装在自己的pc上。原因：
1. 一旦用vpn连接上。local的所有traffic都走公司的vpn。很多网站被公司block了。
2. 软件太旧，不知道会不会和windows 7有没有问题。
现在是把vpn装在一个vitual box的Windows xp里。然后用xp的mstsc远程打开公司的pc
。问题：
- 不能用多显示器，如果用seemless模式，virtual machine的窗口不能移出primary
monitor。
以下解决方法可行不？
- 还用virtual machine run vpn。双网卡，vpn用一个。另一个网卡用来接受host的mstsc连
接？具体怎么操作？
在host上，
mstsc guest_xp:9001 #登录到公司desktop
mstsc guest_xp:9002 #登录到公司server 1

我是为了省钱给老婆胖娃多买衣服玩具，所以硬着头皮自己尝试，
其实都不算完全的machine learning，
就是弄几个模型，对新数据做识别match，然后不停完善对付各种突发情况，
现在一个多月下来，90%的数据都完美处理了。
我其实都不算码农，就这10年，从小到大都是一个成绩不错的街头混混，
所做的所有事情不过是都是为了追求更好的生活质量，
如果现在有人雇我去擦鞋，给我double的收入，
我二话不说马上就去研究各种鞋油，鞋底，材质。 |

里面包含了python跟R的implementations,各个方面的都有了，
把所有的模块都介绍了一遍 （neural networks, random forests, SVMs, bayes
networks）,也有具体例子如何用 tensorflow, theano etc. 感觉还是挺好的，没有太
多的数学，
但本人没有上过andrew ng 吴恩达的ML课程，是否需要再去上吴恩达的ML呢？有经验的
前辈，大牛能否指点一下，下一步如何学习，是不是去kaggle看看人家的code比较快，

因为过去做过很多genomics，突然有一个想法，比如GWAS里top candidate的解释很困
难，或者基于top candidate来预测疾病几乎不可能。
那么是不是可以用各种machine learning办法来training比如几万个SNP；得到这几万
个SNP和疾病状态的关系呢？
Y = a1x1 + a2x2 + a3x3 + ....anxn (n = SNP number比如几万个)
比如这种最简单的线性关系，然后来寻找W=(a1,a2,a3,...an)这个vector的最优解
去搜了一下，有一些这样的paper，但并不是很多。大量GWAS data都是online
available的，而用python的机器学习package的运算量，也不会太大吧？反正比我们分
析WGS要小很多吧？所以我觉得每一种疾病的GWAS都可以拿来做modeling，看是否可以
得到good estimate of parameters
