都会怎么处理。
我在大学里工作，休假前吃了一张parking ticket，我appeal了，结果1个月以后回来，
今天才在办公室的mailbox里看到结果，还是让交钱，去parking service，人家说因为
没有及时交，有penalty，从8元涨到12元。我解释了，我是因为休长假，没能及时看到
信，能不能免去4元的penalty。结果manager很mean，说我当时知道要休长假，应该当
时写上home address，没看到信是我的责任，我只能全付（8元+4元）。因为这笔钱包
括罚款（8元），还包括晚交罚款的罚款（4元），情况比较复杂，不知道我解释清楚了
没有？
这个penalty其实没多少，但是我感觉很难受，这种事情应该有回旋余地的。我说了，
要休长假谁能想到这么多，学校的policy也应该考虑特殊情况等等，都没用。有的时候
遇到这种事，这种不能理喻的人，我不太知道说什么，怎么handle，也不想把事情闹大
，默默地把钱付了，付钱的时候，眼泪不争气地涌出来，我真没用啊。要是你，当时会
怎么做？

No need to pick on this point.
The two people were on leave from their respective Chinese universities.
The email address listed first were mailbox from nwu.edu, which is in US.
They would return to China after December, hence their contact email would
change to a Chinese email box.
ccTLD registrations started in 1985. So there's no reason to assume there
wasn't a .cn registration when China first connected to internet. |

笔者可以说也是随着这股大流走上了这条道路。经历了两个月的艰苦复习，两天的高强
度考试以及发榜前的种种紧张和不安，对于金榜题名的同学来说这无疑是各种付出得到
了回报，对于名落孙山的同学来说也未必是世界末日。作为一个过来人，在这一切都过
去之后，再来理性地看待和思考一下纽约州律考的方方面面不仅可以作为对自己的这一
人生经历的一个总结，也希望可以为后来之人提供某些参考。

为什么是纽约州
美国有五十个州，各个州有各自的司法考试，从法律地位上而言，纽约州律师资格并不
比其他州更高。为何中国学生，或者说美国以外的学生大多报考纽约州律师考试。其最
主要的原因是因为纽约州是美国各州中为数不多的允许在美国以外的国家接受法学教育
的考生，通过在美国的一年LLM课程之后报名参考的州之一（根据笔者不精确的回忆，
另外两个类似的州应该是加利福尼亚州和威斯康辛州）。除此之外的其他多数州一般都
要求考生在美国或其他普通法国家接受过三年的法律教育。这主要是因为纽约州一直以
