久违的太阳露脸了，天老爷爷也来捧场了！这些日子大雪铺天盖地的没完没了的下，人
们的心里是闷闷的不畅快，看见了太阳长长的舒了一大口气。
在乡下住时间长了，进城实在是不习惯，人多车多事多，图书馆坐落在“高楼大厦”之
中，当然高楼大厦是和我住的郊区比较而言，您要和纽约比就就是小巫和大巫的问题了。
门口有两大人物雕像，一个是牛顿，专门爱看草地上掉没掉苹果；还有一个是阳光漂亮
少女，看了半天没看懂是嘛名字，肯定不是lady gaga.
图书馆的建筑古色古香，建筑师的大名永垂青史，他们是：McKim, Mead and White.
建楼的第一块基石安放时间是1888年，完工时间是1895年。（盖了7年啊？） |

早上看报, 看到一条小新闻.HP决定把他的高端video conference 业务卖给Polycom.
钱不多, 89M. 发言人解释说这是为了让HP更好地focus于公司的既定战略. 记得前一阵
子, cisco把以前吭吃吭吃搬来的flip, webex拿出来yard sale的时候, 也说是要专注
于公司的core business. 确实, HP, Cisco这些横向铺开的大公司, 是够不专心的. 另
一方面, 每一个loser都情愿说自己是那只不专心的兔子, 没有人会愿意承认自己是无
能的乌龟, 虽然有时候, 乌龟才是赢家.
和Cisco, HP比起来, Intel就是这样一个专注如乌龟的公司. 这样说是偶个人意见, 很

closed effective on Feb 1. So I can't buy the formula at employee's price
any more.

分享一下我的经历：
前几天去胡佛水坝，去的路上（Lake mead 跟前）有一段很长很平缓的下坡路，限速45
，我当时一转进去不知不觉的开到了65-70， 刚要刹车减速，忽然发现左手边正对着马
路一辆警车停在路边，急忙刹车，不过因为速度过快，又是下坡路，不可能一下子减下
来，看看旁边，差不多都是从加州去看水坝的车子，心想： 这nevada 的警察够坏的，
专抓外州来的，路况不熟的车子，补贴家用。。。
等回程时，定了速度，经过警车旁边，发现里面竟然是空的，没人。 如释重负，原来
只是停在路边，警示的。
觉得还是nevada 的警察人性一点。 |

你在Vegas 也能问到行情，那里有很多小旅游bus 去西峡谷的。
西峡谷是私人地方，票自然贵了。其实胡服坝可以下车看看的，看看大峡谷流下的水。

了。
如果直接LA开车去LV的话，第一晚也不用住城外，不是周末很多赌场的房价也很便宜，
晚上还能带父母在strip上逛逛，可以把后面的行程先提上来些，第一天出去总是精力
充沛的，晚上在不夜城肯定是好奇兴奋，还能在赌场过过瘾。
一般人的行程都是先玩LV再去GC，回来就直接40一路开回来了。
后面回到LA的行程，请看下面回复。
父母过来玩，9月中出发，暂时决定不跟团，自己玩。因为这些地方我自己也没去过，

早上7点的飞机，还迷迷糊糊的就赶到了机场。Allegiant的飞机，不算小，飞得也相当平
稳。在飞机上有介绍Las Vegas的杂志，而且知道可以用$20买一本coupon,
里面有Jubilee 2 for one的coupon, 还有很多没什么太大意义的coupon，当然买了一本
。掠过五大湖，绿意盎然的中部，荒凉的西部就展现在眼前。 从飞机上往下去， 大片光
秃秃的山脉，单调而孤单。
