发帖数: 758 | 11 就我所知的ME里面的教授做NANO的，主要都是在用MD SIMULATION.
UIUC的Y.HUANG和原来STANFORD的H.GAO用GAO HUAJIAN原来的那个VIB模型APPLY到
NANOTUBE上，研究了NANOTUBE的MECHANICAL/FRACTURE PROPERTIES，大概算是
ME界关于NANO进来比较出色的工作了。MIT的D.PARK前不久居然也在PRE或者PRL上
发了篇用MD来算NANOTUBE力学特性的PAPER,在我看来这个PAPER实在比较烂，不知道
是不是PARK的名气大有点帮住。
但是说实在的，这些工作能对现在的NANO界有什么帮助或者影响，我看悬。
看起来更象是ME的人关起门来自裕自乐。呵呵
我也一直在想MECHANICS的学生，怎么才能在NANO里面找事情做，呵呵，还没找到
答案呢。 |

发帖数: 1518 | 12 黄永刚和高华健等做的东西没有什么用处，都是利用micro-plasticity或者fracture
mechanics的理论解些“新”问题，前些年是针对MEMES,发了一大堆文章，有用的
没有一两个。现在nano时髦，他们又钻到nano商来了，无非是在model中加
几个参数，讨论以下如何求解。。并且还愿意来“悬”的，以前大伙对tensor
不太熟悉，他们就用tensor的表述虎人。。。其实完全可以用工程上熟悉的
表述方式表达，这样他们的文章读的人可能还多一点。
你说的ME的人“自裕自乐”也不完全是这样的。他们要吃饭，因此什么时髦什么能
带来funding，他们就做什么。很难说他们把做这些当成“娱乐”。。 |

hehe, 还是你说的比较直接, 我看了他们关于NANOTUBE的一系列文章, 觉得就是把
高华键以前的一个模型(VIB MODEL)用在NANOTUE上,其实没什么新东西, 不过他们是
名校教授,所以不敢亡加评价啊, 呵呵
纳米里面别的东西我不太清楚, 就NANOTUBE这块来说, 就这么一根管子,
7,8年前已经把它的拉/压/弯/扭模拟的很清楚了, 力学特性可以研究的已经比较狭窄,
更何况其实并不需要力学的多少高深知识....
我说的自于自乐主要是觉得主流的纳米科学家可能根本不关心/需要 ME的人来做什么,
而ME的人做的东西, 就我目前看到的文章来说, 很难说能有多大意义有多大应用.
更大的可能是过几年又有别的东西热了, 大家一拥而上又转到那里去, 在NANO里只留下
一大堆文章数..... (以前的MEMS是不是也这样啊?) |

technology在pressure vessel表面“涂”一层，以减缓wall thinning对结构
完整性的不利影响。
但这里没有所谓ME人搞的哪些nano的东西。。
其他应用俺就不知道了。请知情者指教。

talking about this issue - what ME can contribute to Nano and how we should
change. Things that we may contribute, for example, are machines/control for
nano-manufacturing and nano-measurement.
While it is true that Nano is such an interdisciplinary subject that expertise
in ME alone is far from enough, this simply demonstrates the need for ME to
