我在今年一月录制《八方论坛》节目，讨论华为孟晚舟事件背后真相的时候，因为和史
东在节目前聊天，谈到中美贸易战，所以在节目结束前也换到这个话题，做了一些预测。
当时我认为中国进入经济迟缓比美国早了半年多，所以最好是不要急着谈出协议，等到
七八月美国经济问题明显化，Trump的压力大增，谈判的天平自然会向中方倾斜。这个
预见已经准确实现了。
但是我也提到届时已经进入Trump这个任期的尾端，而Trump赢得连任的机会实在不大，
任何美方的承诺都会在2020年底自动作废，所以中方必须避免落入单方面承担协议责任
的窘境。这个分析同样仍然有效；而实际上中方的谈判团队在Trump多次反复之后，似
乎已经理解到Trump自己都大机率会废除或违反协议的条款，对下一任美国政府更加不
能寄予希望，那么当然不会再急着在一张废纸上签字。

中国国家主席胡锦涛访问美国，跟奥巴马总统会晤，被各方瞩目。尤其是最后的中美元
首记者会，人们更加关注，一是因公布两国达成的协议，二是胡锦涛在会上接受记者提
问。胡以前访美，都不接受记者提问，这次破例，让人们好奇和关注。
但这个中美元首记者会，却几乎让所有人失望。不仅内容像专家们预测的那样，双方统
统说套话，没有任何新意，而现场的技术错误更让人大倒胃口。
首先出错的是美国，竟然没有安排同声（同步）翻译，而且胡锦涛和奥巴马这两个国家
元首，还都事先不知道。一般外国元首访美，开联合记者会时，如果对方不懂英文，美
方会安排同声翻译，这样既节省时间，又方面来宾。尤其是在电视现场直播时代，更必
须这样做，因为不能出现让当地观众听不懂的语言长时间左右听觉的难受状况。
用中文折磨美国人
这次胡、奥一上台，都各自戴上耳机，说明是准备通过同声翻译，来听对方的发言。但
是，奥巴马长篇大论地讲完之后才发现，记者会竟然没有安排同声翻译，而是在他讲完
之后，由美方的翻译，再把他的话，在现场全部翻译成中文。这就出现从没有过的电视
